This light housing was meant to be mounted directly to the hull so there is no base-plate. The keyed hole to receive the light socket is found on the bottom of one side. No light socket included. This would have been one of a set. One red, one green for the starboard and one deck mounted light for the clear light. Base is 5 1/2" x 10 1/8".

Antique Helvic's Ship Lantern This is a beautiful turn of the century maratime antique lantern. It seems to be a galvanized type metal with an awesome salty patina. The brass or copper tag reads Helvic's Pattern Approved By Inspector Of The Port Of N.Y. The top cap is also brass or copper. Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. 1939 Rare Perko De-lite Maritime Red and Green Kerosene Combination Bow Lantern
For Auction: Rare Perko De-lite Maritime Red and Green Kerosene Lantern Lamp. From the 1939 Perko catalog. This is described as a"Perko De-Lite Combination Bow Light for boats under 26' Designed for boats going up and down a channel or river. The divider divides the red and green light and gives you a clue on which side you are passing on. Base is 5 1/2" by 5" 7" tall. Copper over metal. Original Condition- Red and Green Glass are good. Both doors open. The Green door latch is a little tight. But it does open. The red door latch is not original, and looks like it has been replaced. The kerosene can inside is empty. this is a very old metal signal light of some sort. Crumpled metal label on back reads PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDW CORP. Brooklyn NY so I assume it is a boating or navigational lamp of some sort. 11 1/2" tall. About 6" wide and 9" deep with the flap that separates the two ridged glass lenses, one is green and one is red. Lenses are held in with copper or brass fittings and cap is same metal. The metal body is rusted out on about the bottom 3/4 inch and fits over somekind of lighting mechanism but I don't know what kind. this could be used for parts for another lamp of the same type or possibly restored, I don't know. back has a flat mount of some sort. don't know if it goes over an electric or gas light on a post, or how it was used. Vintage Wilcox and Crittenden Middletown Conn Marine Lantern from the early 1900s. I am not sure if a candle or an electric bulb was inserted in the bottom. Beautiful ruby red and emerald green fresnal glass lenses. Flat back with mounting bracket and ring handle. Height 8" and 5"across. As found condition. I have not cleaned or touched the finish.Lenses look to be in very good condition. Probably used on the Connecticut River or Long Island Sound. I would guess the red/green paint was added by the ship. One of the photos was taken with a flashlight inserted so you can visualize the glass color. This is a real piece of maritime history.

Vintage 1921 PERKO Green Red Marine Boat Navigational Bow Light
This is a vintage Perko clamp on navigational green& red bow light. Bow light has a Pat date on it of Dec 20. 1921. Light is marked Perko, Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Brooklyn NY, USA. Light is a clamp on type that measures 14 1/2 inches long not counting the turn clamp on bottom, adding that it comes to 17 inches with clamp open, space between clamp is 1& 10 8ths inches. Circumfrance around the top glass part is 10 inches. Light is 8 inches from top to the flashlight end. The glass lenses are red and a blue green, the green lens looks blue when not turned on, when on it looks like a blue green. Light takes two D batteries and works great. Nice Old Brass Nautical Ship Lamp with Red Clear & Green Glasses NO RESERVE
Measures approx. 9-1/2" high to top of cap and 11-3/4" to top of handle. Made entirely of brass with glass lenses. The only marking or name that I could find anywhere is"THE MILLER CO. U.S.A. on the wick adjustment knob. And one side of the wick cover is signed"1925. This lantern apparently was electrified at one time, as there is a small hole neatly punched through the backside near the base. Otherwise it is complete and needs only light cleaning and polishing. A good old one, probably 1920-1940 vintage. I will combine shipping whenever possible, and normally will ship worldwide within one day of receiving payment. R.I. residents must add 7% sales tax. Google the name"big ship salvage" and you will learn more about who we are! You are bidding on the vintage pair of original bulkhead lights shown above. They are made of solid cast brass material. Recovered during one of our recent Great Lakes projects. The cages are marked with the makers' name Pauluhn. So they are US made. Each light weighs just over 4 pounds. The wall mount is 4 3/8 inches wide and has four mount holes. From the top of the wall mount to the bottom of the cage area, each light measures about 11 inches tall. To access the bulb area, you spin off the brass cage and the spin off the glass globe. The undamaged globes are true red and green glass. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring in each light that is UL-Listed and made by Westinghouse Electric. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of ... more75 watts or less. Wired to work with any voltage under 250 volts. These vintage lights will have some surface wear and other signs of wear expected from a light coming from a real working class vessel. 4 VINTAGE BOAT LIGHTS RED & GREEN GLASS
Up for sale is this set of four vintage boat lights. The one large chrome one seems to be a cover or something because I don't see any hole for wiring. It is marked Henry Bramer Inc Keyport NJ. I can't read the Bramer. So I am not sure if that is what is says. I does have a small chip at the middle of the seam and has clear glass. The chrome has some pitting and needs cleaning. The smaller chrome light has red and green/teal color glass which is marked N.M.L. CO. The red portion of the glass has a chip in the center that you will see in the photos. The chrome is also pitted and dirty. The third light has paint that will need to be cleaned and has red glass that reads Kilborn Sauer Fairfield Conn, and has a chip on the right side of the glass which appears to be ground. The last is just a brass colored frame. See photos and ask questions.

Offered here as is. Antique Red Green Perko Boat Bow Light mounted on teak or maybe mahogany wood. We found this piece at a fine Florida estate and were told it came off a Chris Craft vessel. It does have holes on each end of the(teak/mahogany wood) as though it would mount to the bow of a boat. There are minor age cracks in wood on each end. Red& Green Fresnel lens on Perko light is not cracked or chipped. The guy we got this from said he removed it from the Chris Craft boat himself and said it did work when it was removed. This piece is all ONE Piece- the switch on top clicks fine but this Perko navigational light was not possible for us to test. Offered as is. Large- measuring about 23" across and sits about 8" high. Canister on bottom unscrews, so does the top, and the very top(reticulated mushroom ... morevent cap) The gmagnifying glass in the front is present, and nice, held in by the"scissor" mechanisam safety(round) wire, which comes out the side, end by squeezing them together, realeases the glass. On two sides of the glass are two magnificent large jewels, one Green and one Red, signifying the traditional"Starboard" and"Port" side. Below the head of the lamp is a lever which could go three ways, as the signes say to"off" to the left, water" in the middle and"on" to the right. Lever moves like a charm, and it has a saw bracket above, to hold it in place at desired strength. Below the lever is the Mounting Clamp going outward on a slight angle, which is made of different much stronger metal, and displays different aging(slight rust) Bottom canister is fine, unscrews like a charm. Size is large 7.75" tall, 5.5" deep with the clamp, 3" deep without and 3.5" wide. Glass rim is 3.5" and glass is 2.5" diameter. It is copper, and is 10" down each side, 11" across the back, and about 10" tall, not including carrying handle. Has a glass insert red on one side, and green on the other, top finial is gone, and top vent has some cracks in it so handle should not be used to carry or hang. Also has some old paint drops, back opens and electric bulb has been added to use for display, the makers mark is embossed on the back door. Antique Red and Green Running Light Vintage Speed Boat Chromed Metal
Antique boat running light on aluminum base up for bid. This light needs re-chromed as it has some surface problems but the two light lens are in tact with no chipping. No sure what brand this old light is or how old it is. Anyone restoring a vintage to antique boat probably will know. The bracket screws are rusted so I can't get them off otherwise I would of shown a picture from underside. The light itself is about 8 to 8 1/2" front to back and 3 3/8" wide. They have been converted to lamps but are in non-working order. The tip on the red is broken off the green is broken and not as long as it should be. The inner rim of the red lens in cracked off at the bottom. This is pictured. They are in as found condition and have been turned into lamps. They currently are in need of some TLC. Here is a great set of ship or railroad lamps or lanterns with original box for storage in grey/blue paint. Box measures 19" x 8.5" x 13" Lanterns are about 11" tall and 5" wide. I believe the body of the lamps to be galvanized steel to tin. And all have lovely brass tops with rings. Really nice condition with just one crack in the green glass shade.
