The antique naval spotlight came off a US Navy ship, measuring 14" x 24" and is in very good original working condition. The levers allowing the lamp to be adjusted from 4-6 feet are in good working condition too. The metal exterior is in original condition, showing no significant dents/dings. The spotlight has been positioned on an antique wood tripod stand, with its original leather strapes. Huge vintage Pauluhn Nautical Pier lights. stamped- cat no. 1453 Great Nautical heavy duty design. Believed to be solid brass- Will not stick to a magnet. These are mounted to bases manufactured by- Kenilworth N.J. and read Suitable for wet locations. We have not attempted to clean or polish these at all. One of the red or off red glass globes has 6 chips on its fins which are hard to notice because of the large size. The other red globe which is a slightly different tone then the other has only one chip on a fin. Both globes have some minor flea biting on the fins and scratching/ wear throughout from age and outdoor use. The brass or metal has scratching scuffing etc. and one of them has a little chunk missing shown in photograph# 3. These will need a detailed cleaning and restoration of all wiring before they can be used. We have been in the business of salvaging ocean liners and cruise liners for over 25 years from across the world. For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. The back shows black that comes off when I dabbed at it. This is probably a pretty rare item and would make a good addition to any Nautical collection. Sale fell through on last listing of this item. There are 2 chips on the flange which will never be seen. When this piece of glass was made, some specs were incorporated in the molten glass and those are the spots you see in my pics. For your consideration: Vintage pre-WW II Crouse-Hinds Company airport lighting equipment MDB-16 floodlight. Based on all my research the fixture is about 77 years old and in very good condition. The fixture measures approx. 18" across with the glass area being 16" in diameter. The depth of the fixture from the glass to the weather head is about 18" With some modest disassembly I expect it will fit safely in an 18x18x18 cube package. The shipping weight is about 15 pounds. I have listed a USPS Standard Post rate from NY to CA. If your location costs less I will refund the difference. The light is comprised of a cast aluminum base and stamped aluminum lamp enclosure with a Pyrex glass enclosure cover. The fixture is a model MDB-16 as detailed in the 1937 Crouse-Hinds Company catalog#317 dated March 15. 1937 page 12 in section ... more305. The fixture is also described in the Crouse-Hinds Floodlight Catalog#316 section 201. Pages 25& 26 of the same year. The MDB-16 is considered an auxiliary floodlight designed for use lighting airport aprons and service areas This specific fixture. Cat no. 44595-A, is. designed to use a 1000 watt lamp(bulb) with a mogul base and a Crouse-Hinds#5 weather head. The weather head can be reversed to facilitate alternate mounting positions. The enclosure is designed to be weatherproof with a Pyrex glass cover. The glass has T.M.PAT.OFF. 14D KL 9716 and the Crouse-Hinds logo molded into it. The glass cover is hinged on one side and can be positioned to swing up. Down, left, right by repositioning the lamp shade enclosure. The glass cover is smooth on the exterior but has a textured interior surface to defuse the light. I have attempted to image that for you. There are several tiny bubbles in the glass which attest to its originality. I have tested the fixture by attaching a test cord and illuminating the bulb pictured. The carbide mechanism is long gone but this light has been repurposed with a new 110volt Socket with an Edison style bulb. Looks great. Original concave mirror still in place. The glass in the brass front ring has been replaced with 1/4" plexiglass. The base is not original to the piece, the base was custom fabricated to display this light. The light measures 22 1/2" in diameter and 22 1/2 deep. The light stands an impressive 6 ft tall. The light assembly still oscillates and can be pointed up or down like it was originally intended. Industrial Spot light Caster Wheel Lamp Nautical, Vintage, Maritime, Mid Century
This is one of the most creative spotlights I've seen to date. Normally you see spotlights on tripods. But I created something that is outside the box! The Spotlight is easy to move around or could be used as a table lamp. Or floor lamp. The spotlight measures 10" in diameter, 19" height. and 12" at the widest point of wooden base. The caster wheels are vintage. The wooden base is an old vintage chopping block, and the spotlight came off an old 1940's truck. Vintage twisted cloth(not rayon) lamp cord measures 6' long. With an on/off rotary switch with vintage plug. Spotlight has beautiful patina, and age that adds unique character. Vintage Nautical - Industrial Explosion Proof Brass Light Housings
For sale are two brass nautical/industrial Brass explosionproof light housings. I was told these were from the 40s but cannot confirm that. They were made by R. Lovell& Company in Arlington New Jersey. They are made of brass but at some point were painted. So. They have been sandblasted back to their original condition. I scratched a little spot on one of them so you can see the brass underneath the patina. These could be polished if you prefer, but I think the patina is beautiful. Up for auction is this antique or vintage brass nautical lantern. I am uncertain of its exact age as I could not find another in my internet search. Wonderful original patina and in great working condition. It is really quite heavy. Weighing over 7 lbs. Ceramic neck inside; ribbed glass. I do not know if this was originally in a ceiling hanging down or on a deck standing up.the more knowledgeable ebay maritime collector knows more than me! Measures approx. 10 3/4" h x 4 3/4" w. The fixture measures approx. 12" across with the glass area being 10 3/8" in diameter. The depth of the fixture from front to back is about 16" With some modest disassembly I expect it will fit safely in an 12x12x16 cube package. The shipping weight is about 13 pounds. The light is comprised of a cast aluminum base and stamped aluminum lamp enclosure with a Pyrex glass enclosure cover. The fixture is a Cat. This specific fixture is designed to use a 100 watt lamp(bulb) with a standard medium base. I found a reference to it using mercury vapor lamps however I tested it with an incandescent bulb. The bulb I tested with was large and overpowered my camera so it look dimmer than it really is. The bottom of the fixture has what appears to be angle markings range 90 degrees from a center 0 degree position. The fixture angle can be altered by loosening the nut and repositioning the lamp to get the desired orientation. This adjustment feature allows the fixture to be move up to 180 degrees. The enclosure is designed to be weatherproof with a Pyrex glass cover and rubber seal. The glass has PYREX REG. U.S. PAT.OFF. 10 3/8 D.A. MADE IN U.S.A and the number 40. Wired for 110 and has a floodlight bulb will include but it sounds like something rolling inside. Does not have a lens but pretty bright without it. Some rust on the adjustment knob on back and a piece of bakelight chipped off. Sitting flat on its 7" base it is 17" tall. With the light up in search position it is approx. 24" and 18" across the grab bars that have some finish loss and one is slightly bent. Mount from ceiling or tabletop fully swivels to any position.

VINTAGE 30's/40's WILMOT CASTLE Type 80 MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL NAUTICAL SEARCH LIGHT
Here is a beautiful Wilmot Castle Company Type 80(Model 80) surgical light(100w Clear Spotlight) from the 1930's and 1940's. Some of these were used as search lights. Also. I was told that this particular one came from a US Naval vessel. It was in an auction with several Navy ship parts such as portholes from a minesweeper. With the green salty patina it has in places, I tend to believe the story. This light works well. I has a couple of very small dings, and a small area on the lens is scratched. I used a pen to show you the size. The light includes a 110v plug so it doesn't have to be hardwired. It also includes the mounting base, which is usually missing from these. I only wiped it down with a rag and a little Windex. I didn't want to mess up the patina. Some people like that look. I'm including a 2 pack of 100w Halogen ... morebulbs. It will ship with the testing bulb inside. This light is highly collectible. I've sold a few in the past. If you Google them, some of them have sold for upwards of over $1,900! Marked on the explosion proof globe and cage is"R& S Co. It measures approximately 9" tall with a 4-1/2" base. There are paint smudges on the base and overall this piece is in very good vintage condition(see pics) The yellow light bulb is for display only and will not be shipped with the lamp. Vintage Ship Spotlight /Industrial/ Nautical Decor Brass Spun Copper
A great light for an industrial/nautical accent. Will need wiring and socket. Bracket is solid brass. Measures 6 1/2" long and 4 1/2" tall at wall and is labeled The Portable Light Co. NY Type 51- 3 E? cant make it out at the end. Lens is loose, I think there is a water proofing gasket missing. Ill box that separate so dont worry. Head of light is made of spun copper with a brass handle riveted on. Head measures 6 1/2" round and 6" deep. Any questions please ask. I always answer.
