Not sure but makers family member said it was zinc. he said his father manufactured these in chicago years ago and that this was the actual prototype. i have seen similar ones made from glass here on ebay and the family did own a glass factory. this one is all metal and no glass. i did not plug it in to test the lights.

This is a old rare pulley we found at an estate sale. First pulley we ever found like it. Just the wood part measures about 4 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. The wheel is brass or bronze. It has a lot of wear and tear. The wood is worn and weathered and the copper metal pin that goes through the wheel is tarnished. This is a old Seth Thomas wall clock that was made in thomaston. Conn. U.S.A. That was before they moved in 1975. I don't know the exact year. I looked and could not find this clock so it might be rare. It has a metal gold eagle on top with a glass piece in the center with a anchor and eagle in the middle. The bottom also has a glass piece with two sailboats at war, one being American. The clock itself has a glass and metal porthole that opens. It looks like it took a special battery in the back that uses a alternating current of 110-125 volts 160 cycles with mov't No 1420 2.5 watts.04 amps. So I don't know it the clock works. It measures roughly 20” long. 16” tall and has a depth of 2 ¼. The clock(and light? is not working, maybe it is something you can fix. It is in very good physical condition but it does show wear. The sails are made of tin or metal and look great except for a few bends here and there. The last one is attached to a wooden peg and that peg is a little loose and can be turned. There is some sticker residue on this sail as well. There is one area of the wood on the bottom that is unfinished and part of it can be seen on the side of the boat as well. Just the bell measures 9+5/8 inches wide and 7 inches tall. Mounted it measures 16 inches tall. The rectangle mounting plate at the base measures 3+7/8 inches long and 2+3/4 inches wide. This bell was chromed at one time but most is now gone. It has WIGL engraved on the top. This bell is a little worn but would be great for a restoration project. There are a few small tears around the border. But plenty of room for framing to cover these. The color is a nice blue(a little better than the photos depict) Some wrinkles from being rolled up over the years. Framing would flatten most of the wrinkles too. RARE 4.5" OLD ALL WOOD SHIP SAIL BOAT PULLEY (0003)
This is an old rare pulley we found at an estate sale. First and third photos show the true color! Sorry. The camera has been acting up! Just the wood part measures about 4.5 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. The wheel is wood also. It has a lot of wear and tear and cracks in the wood. The wood is worn and weathered and the copper metal pin that goes through the wheel is tarnished. They used these for sailboats a long long time ago in the sailboat industry. It would be a great addition to a collection of floats or maritime items! We are in no way experts about sailboat parts but we learning as we go. We accept Paypal. No handling fees! Wooden Ship Model handmade USS Tennessee 1865 This was NOT built from a kit and it is one of a kind This ship has been in our family for generations. The story is it was made buy a family member way back when who was stationed and sailed on the USS Tennessee in the late 1800s. Each part was made by hand. Not from a kit. The details are amazing down to the deck planking, cannons, cannonballs, life boats, sales, rigging, and the inlayed side walls. I have included many pictures to give you an idea of the quality and condition. It is 30” long not counting the bow sprit and 22” tall. Admittedly it needs some loving care and would be a great hobby project to bring this great ship back to standard. I am sure some small pieces like cannon balls and other small parts are missing but the bulk of the important parts are here. See Photos.
