Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. RARE Vintage Lantern Light Buoy Piling Ship Anchor Dock Nautical Galv. Brass
Up for auction today is vintage nautical lantern. Different people call these types by such names as; buoy. Piling, master head, anchor, or dock lantern/ light. I am not sure of the proper name or use for this lantern. Can you inform me? It measures 17 ½” tall. The bottom is 8” in diameter, the top is 7 ½” in diameter, the lens is 4 ¾” tall(the exposed portion) and the lens is approx 5” in diameter. The lens is a dark ruby red and I see no cracks or chips. The body is galvanized metal with the rings. Latching hardware and the top ring of bottom portion being made of brass. There is a makers mark on the inside but some is missing and I cannot tell by what I can read who the maker is. Do you know? I assume that it was battery operated but there is no battery or wiring that is visible. I did not take the top portion apart and ... moredo not know if there is a bulb inside. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage. The cage and the globe unscrew as one piece on this design. The cage screw on and off with little effort. Vintage 1940's Perko Navigation Lights Lamps, Brass w/ Red Glass Nautical NR!!
We were told these came off of a 1940's sail ship. Perko Navigational lights in solid brass cases. These sadly have been painted and will need full restoration including wiring. The red globe has some chipping only visible from inside or the very bottom left corner from the outside. The green globe has no chipping. Both globes and cases have scratching and scuffing throughout from years of use and poor storage. Some paint smeers on the globes as shown. NO cracks. just chips. Vintage Pauluhn N.Y. Large Nautical Pier Ship Lights, Industrial Rare Size Brass
Huge vintage Pauluhn Nautical Pier lights. stamped- cat no. 1453 Great Nautical heavy duty design. Believed to be solid brass- Will not stick to a magnet. These are mounted to bases manufactured by- Kenilworth N.J. and read Suitable for wet locations. We have not attempted to clean or polish these at all. One of the red or off red glass globes has 6 chips on its fins which are hard to notice because of the large size. The other red globe which is a slightly different tone then the other has only one chip on a fin. Both globes have some minor flea biting on the fins and scratching/ wear throughout from age and outdoor use. The brass or metal has scratching scuffing etc. and one of them has a little chunk missing shown in photograph# 3. These will need a detailed cleaning and restoration of all wiring before they can be used. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. I tried extensively to do some research but cannot find anything similar. I will leave it up to you. If they fit in your decor that is all that matter. Thankyou for previewing and goodluck.

Their are metal name tags on each one indicating their use. Serial number and etc. which verfies its authencity. The other lantern has an upper and lower chamber with clear lenses with light sockets installed in both chambers as well and this one according to its name plate is the Stern light. You can use these inside as lamps or outside as lamps since they are airtight. They are over just 18 inches tall and almost 10 inches wide. Everything on these two unique and extremely rare lanterns are operatable. Every screw and bolt does what it should. The white stuff you see in the pictures is, I'm guessing is someone at one time, tried to use brass cleaner and did a bad job. I would personally leave them the way they are, but if you want to clean them up, they should shine like the sun. In order to use them. Colonial Nautical BRASS SHIP'S Lantern Colonial Williamsburg Vintage Great lantern is made from heavy gauge brass with side guards to protect the glass. This was purchased in 1960s/ 70s in Colonial Williamsburg and is candle based. The lantern measures 11" tall/12 1/2" with handle standing. The base is 4" square and the outside guards take the width to 5 1/2" It is in great vintage condition; the brass has some wonderful patina and minor marks. While it was purchased at Colonial Williamsburg. There are no marks, there does seem to be remnants of a label on the top rim- we cannot make out if this indicated Colonial Williamsburg, the manufacturer, or the pricing details. This listing is for a vintage brass gimbal lamp with milk glass shade. It's marked: Pascall Atkey& Son Cowes. The lamp measures 8.5" to the top of the socket. 5.25" across the shade ring, 3.75" across the bottom of the base, and about 10.75" to the top of the shade. The shade is 3.25" high, 5" across the bottom and 3.5" across the top. No cracks or chips in the glass. The lamp has been tested, and it does work. This is a Green lensed Vintage Perko De-Lite Starboard kerosene Brass Nautical Light.Was manufactured in Brooklyn, N.Y. It includes the kerosene Lamp Light container, but is missing the interior reflector,and does have a 1/2 inch occlusion in the lense. The occlusion should be visible in the photo, it is within the glass and does not break the surface of either side of the lense. Large Vintage Copper& Brass Nautical Neptune Maritime Oil Lamp Lantern This large vintage Neptune nautical oil lamp is crafted of copper& brass. The outer housing is copper& the interior is lined in brass. With a brass lamp. The top is hinged& clasped with a chained hook. The lamp lifts out on two brass arms that extend to the top of the lamp. The interior lamp is complete& functioning. All glass is fine& the lamp displays very nicely. There is some slight age greening to the copper& one small dent on the back of the frame. Next to the window. It measures 14.5" tall excluding the handle& 18.5" tall including the handle by 9" wide, including the brass hanging brackets by 6" wide. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. This is a nice old brass ship's oil lantern. Each side has glass. With an X in brass on the outside. The top is hinged and is held shut by a large screw. You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. This light can be used inside or outside. It will never rust!
