The lamp stays level at any angle. It also has wear to the finish with corrosion on several spots. So study the pictures carefully. Although most of the piece is made of brass I suspect the shade is a different metal, perhaps copper. I have not tried lighting the lamp(no oil) so I can't say how well it works. This early style kerosene burner combination navigation light with Fresnel lenses made by the National Marine Lamp Co. of New York. This lamp was made prior to 1912 since after that date National Maritime were marked with a patent date of 1912 or used the trade name“Triplex” This is an early example since the company was founded in 1906. This lamp is most suitable for someone seeking this shielded design of which only a few have survived. It has a great deal of character and a wonderfully warm patina. THE MAKER: National Marine Lamp Co. Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. Vintage Maritime Nautical FRESNEL LENS LAMP.. Boat or Dock Light
THANK YOU FOR VISITING US COTTAGE and CASTLE DESCRIPTION: Vintage Maritime Nautical FRESNEL LENS LAMP. Boat or Dock Light* This is a vintage maritime nautical Fresnel Lens Lamp that was previously being used as a dock light in Austoria. Oregon on Oregon's North Coast. It appears to be brass or copper metal(do not know if solid or plate) It has a glass fresnel lens. It measures approximately 7 1/2" tall to top of hanger and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. It is wired to take a standard electric light bulb. The metal top and bottom attach to fresnel lens with thumb set screws. It is as found and well weathered from years of use although it is still functional. We have not cleaned the metal or glass and there are deposits from the elements on both the metal and glass. It could probably be cleaned up but wanted to leave it with ... moreits original weahered look. Other than the the weathering from the elements it is in good vintage condition and the glass fresnel lens does not have any cracks or chips. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. They also have benefits" In each lantern, their are two compartments, and upper and a lower. One lantern which has two green lenses on the top and bottom is called the side light. Their are metal name tags on each one indicating their use. Serial number and etc. which verfies its authencity. They both have light sockets mounted ... morein the upper and lower chambers of the lanterns which make these beautiful lanterns usable. See the pictures for an example of this. The other lantern has an upper and lower chamber with clear lenses with light sockets installed in both chambers as well and this one according to its name plate is the Stern light. You can use these inside as lamps or outside as lamps since they are airtight. They are over just 18 inches tall and almost 10 inches wide. Everything on these two unique and extremely rare lanterns are operatable. Every screw and bolt does what it should. The white stuff you see in the pictures is, I'm guessing is someone at one time, tried to use brass cleaner and did a bad job. I would personally leave them the way they are, but if you want to clean them up, they should shine like the sun. In order to use them. All you will have to do is add light bulbs and a power cord to the fixtures. It's easy, I gave you a demonstration in the pictures. This is a small gimbal lamp. Smallest I've seen. With chimney on, 9 1/2 inches. From base to threads just 4" tall. centers 3 1/2 inches out from wall) Made by Perkins and marked PERCO on both the weighted lamp base and the wall mount. This lamp suffers no damage and comes with a Miller# 0 flange or set screw burner. Burner is marked(thumbwheel) E. MILLER CO. MADE IN U. S. A. Its chimney has a base size of 1 5/8" Stands 4 7/8 inches. And is marked" MACBETH 462 PEARL GLASS MADE IN USA" with a tiny"0" below that. You can feel a tiny rough spot on its base edge, but its not damage. Chimney is clean top and bottom. Has a nice patina presently or will polish nicely depending on your taste. The outer housing is copper& the interior is lined in brass. With a brass lamp. The top is hinged& clasped with a chained hook. The lamp lifts out on two brass arms that extend to the top of the lamp. The interior lamp is complete& functioning. All glass is fine& the lamp displays very nicely. There is some slight age greening to the copper& one small dent on the back of the frame. Next to the window. It measures 14.5" tall excluding the handle& 18.5" tall including the handle by 9" wide, including the brass hanging brackets by 6" wide. This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. This lantern is approximately 5.5" x 5.5" x 14.5" and weighs almost 6 lbs. All glass in intact with no cracks. It has a wedge burner. I have not tried to use it. It has been used in the past as there is soot at the top. Please see pictures for further condition. It appears shinier in the pictures than it really is. I have not cleaned it or polished it.

For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. Large antique“Anchor” ship oil lantern. This beautiful nautical lamp/lantern measures 27” tall from tip of top bar to tip of lower bar. It is made of solid brass and copper. The age is unknown. It is in great condition. It is all original and has not been converted to electric. It has a nice darker aged patina. The total weight is 12 pounds before boxing. An original solid brass oil lantern made by BULPITT& SONS BIRMINGHAM 1940 Embossed on the chimney of the lantern. F ully functional. Heavy gauge brass lantern complete with all its original parts. Used aboard a ship as a bulkhead. Cabin/wardroom lamp. Stands 16" high. 20" high with the handle upright, 8 1/2" wide x 6" deep. The unit has a three sided glass face. With a right side access door. The burner is made to come out to fill. It also has a key that the wick can be put up or down without opening the door. The chimney also opens up the top section for cleaning or service. During the days of televisions inside decorative cabinets that also served as an elegant piece of furnature. Sat on top of gramp's beloved American made Magnavox tube television long before the days of wall-mounted LCD's. Measures 12 1/2" tall x 11" long x 2 3/4" wide at widest point(base) Weighs almost 2 lbs. Lamp is in good working condition. Newer electrical wiring/cord. Uses a Christmas light bulb. Which unscrews from the back for replacement. Currently features a blue bulb. I have no idea how old the bulb might be or how much longer it will work before replacement. This light was converted to an indoor display light but it still has the original three sockets if someone wants to return it to its original use as a nautical light. Either way this nautical light will display well. New/Used: Used. Approximate Dimensions in Inches- Length: 10” Diameter: 5 ½” Condition: Very good. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. This crack is not that noticeable and can only ... morebe seen when the light is on. It does not appear to go all the way through the glass because you can’t feel it with your fingernail on either the inside or outside. Please see the last picture depicting this flaw. This light may have other minor imperfections consistent with use and age. Up for sale here we have a Vintage Nautical Maritime Boat Ship Light Lantern 21" Brass RARE Ocean Sea Coast. This lantern is absolutely awesome. It has a very nice patina as you can see. This is the real deal and it was used. Someone at some point of time made it electrical light. The glass has a few chips in the extremely thick glass. There is a couple small dents. But you can't hardly tell with the colors of the lantern. This lantern is unmarked. It is very solid and well made. The lantern measures approximately 21"x11" With the handle up it is about 23.5" in height. It weighs a heavy 17lbs 12oz. We assume since this is from the sea and very old that it is made of brass. Vintage Light 1930-40s NAUTICAL Maritime Copper SHIP WHEEL Glass Ceiling Fixture
zipedit] Description• This is a fantastic vintage 1930-40's era Nautical Maritime ceiling light fixture. The thick pressed glass shade has a soft pink finish with clear glass sailboats and anchors. The clear glass rim has a rope design and the bottom has a fabulous starburst sunburst compass pattern. The ceiling canopy has been refinished and has a copper colored metal ships wheel cover attached to a clear pressed glass telescope. The fixture has also been refinished and uses 3 bead chains that hold and suspend the shade. It has been completely rewired with a new porcelain socket and wiring. The glass shade measure 10.25" wide and is in excellent vintage condition with no chips. Cracks or loss of finish. It hangs 9" from ceiling to bottom of the shade and can be adjusted slightly higher or lower with the chains.
