Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. We were told these came off of a 1940's sail ship. Perko Navigational lights in solid brass cases. These sadly have been painted and will need full restoration including wiring. The red globe has some chipping only visible from inside or the very bottom left corner from the outside. The green globe has no chipping. Both globes and cases have scratching and scuffing throughout from years of use and poor storage. Some paint smeers on the globes as shown. NO cracks. just chips. Since the hallmark is just on the kerosene knob I can't sa y for sure but it could be even olde r because it does look very similar to their style of older lights. Very unique. Antique MARITIME NAUTICAL SHIP LANTERN Red Glass Copper & Brass
Up for bids is a great marine piece- an antique ship lantern. This nautical lantern is made of brass and copper metals and a beautiful piece of red onion glass. It has a sloped top which keeps water and rain from the inside of it. The red onion glass is encompassed by protective brass pieces which prevent it from being damaged when it swings. This lantern also has both the top pivoting brass hanger. AND the bottom one. I see very few of these lanterns that were made with these, and if so they no longer have the bottom one. At some point someone has removed the kerosene drum/holder and started the process of making this electrical. I have not attempted to complete this. It is fitted with a very simple bulb holder and a turning switch which still turns and clicks. This has in no means detracted from the beauty of this lantern and will make ... moreit simpler to electrify if someone chooses to do so. This lantern is in fantastic vintage condition. It has wear associated and common with its age but overall really nice! If someone chooses to polish this it will shine like new. The glass is in very good condition. It has some wear marks. Rough spots, or minor chipping on the rims/edges but no breaks. The wear is only from where it is fitted into the copper ends. These marks are not seen or noticable when the lantern is put together. The glass itself has some air bubbles but only visible upon close examination. The sloped top has several small dents in it. The two copper caps look very good and I do not see any dents or tears in them. The brass hangers and glass protectors have only age patina to them but otherwise perfect. The measurements of this lantern is 25 1/2" when hanging from the top of the hanging attachment to the tip of the bottom attachment. The glass is approx. 6 1/2" high by 8 1/2" around. I've taken this apart to show the insides of the pieces and the area where the electrical work was started. Also. When I ship it will come separated like this. Very, very simple to put together and take apart

VINTAGE MAXLUMINA MODEL ML-155? GENUINE MARINE NAUTICAL RED LANTERN WORKING LAMP LIGHT. Dimensions: It measures approximately 19" in height by 9" diameter. The lamp was originally produced by the Tideland Signal Company and is probably the Maxlumina Model ML-155. When new. The marine lamp cost approximately $1400. Also, the piece is originally from Baltimore's Francis Scot Key Bridge over the Patapsco River a mile in front of Fort McHenry where Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner in 1814 now our National Anthem and remained there for many years. Vintage Electric Maritime Boat Ship Light Red Nautical Glass Lens Brass Works
This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. Here is a Large 8 inch tall RED LENSE REAL GLASS marked Corning on glass Nautical SHIP. DOCK, or PIER Nautical Light. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Vintage tug boat light, channel marker buoy light, red warning light lens, red beacon light This large lens measures approximately 6" high and 5.75" overall width from outer edge of lens. Mounting rim edge measures 5.25" dia. Appears to be marked S-4072-L. No other maker name appears that I can see. The only mark is a small chip found on an edge near the bottom. Nice Old Brass Nautical Ship Lamp with Red Clear & Green Glasses NO RESERVE
Measures approx. 9-1/2" high to top of cap and 11-3/4" to top of handle. Made entirely of brass with glass lenses. The only marking or name that I could find anywhere is"THE MILLER CO. U.S.A. on the wick adjustment knob. And one side of the wick cover is signed"1925. This lantern apparently was electrified at one time, as there is a small hole neatly punched through the backside near the base. Otherwise it is complete and needs only light cleaning and polishing. A good old one, probably 1920-1940 vintage. I will combine shipping whenever possible, and normally will ship worldwide within one day of receiving payment. R.I. residents must add 7% sales tax. Nautical blue glass and red glass lamp lenses
This auction consists of the two glass dome shaped lenses. Seen in the pictures. These where located in a box with other nautical items, and as the last picture shows the LIGHT HOUSING{ not a part of this auction} is made by the same company as the glass lens. The identification on the red rim is S1085- 2R- and the blue has the word GRIMES B 5818. The* is not easily readable but something is there just the same. They measure to be 7 inches in length and have two holes for attaching to the light housing. This lens is 3 1/4" in diameter on the bottom~~the inside diameter on the bottom is 2 1/2"~~the height is 3 1/2" This glass has survived quite well for it's age. The are no chips. Cracks or scratches. There are 2 chips on the flange which will never be seen. When this piece of glass was made, some specs were incorporated in the molten glass and those are the spots you see in my pics. I have no concept what this lens was used for. 2 Great Lakes Recovered Nautical Lights w/Red & Green Globes - REWIRED!
Google the name"big ship salvage" and you will learn more about who we are! You are bidding on the vintage pair of original bulkhead lights shown above. They are made of solid cast brass material. Recovered during one of our recent Great Lakes projects. The cages are marked with the makers' name Pauluhn. So they are US made. Each light weighs just over 4 pounds. The wall mount is 4 3/8 inches wide and has four mount holes. From the top of the wall mount to the bottom of the cage area, each light measures about 11 inches tall. To access the bulb area, you spin off the brass cage and the spin off the glass globe. The undamaged globes are true red and green glass. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring in each light that is UL-Listed and made by Westinghouse Electric. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of ... more75 watts or less. Wired to work with any voltage under 250 volts. These vintage lights will have some surface wear and other signs of wear expected from a light coming from a real working class vessel. We have removed the old paint and polished the brass to a nice finish. These lights will be the talk of your visitors and can be used for interior or exterior projects. Condition: Used Fantastic antique or vintage copper/brass running board or harbor lantern piece. This was a great estate find. Originally. It was a whole lantern that was used on ships. It's got a Perkings No. 2 curved and ribbed red glass globe. This is a heavy piece that's held up well over the years. It's got some rough edges and chips to the edge of the globe, and other signs of wear to the metal body, so please examine the pictures closely. It measures 5" high by 4 1/4" wide. Antique Peter Gray Maritime Nautical Red Globe Anchor Lantern Light Great Lakes?
Just out of a local house is this antique Maritime Ships lamp. It was made by Peter Gray around 1890 or perhaps earlier. The lantern is galvanized with old red paint. It has a Fresnel glass globe that is clear on the outside and cased with a layer or red glass on the inside. I have seen these listed in our lantern books listed as Great Lakes lights. Navy Lanterns, Stern, or Anchor lights. This light measures about 19 3/4 inches tall. 7 inches across the base, and about 7 1/2 inches at its widest. It is in good condition but has some oxidation, some damage where the bottom of the cage meets the base, and the lens has a chip. See photos. The font has an unusual burner marked Gray Boston. It looks to be very old. I can't find another example of this exact one on Internet so it must be fairly rare. Vintage Brass Electric Ship Lantern Nautical Boat lamp lighting Red Plug Chain
I am selling a unique working vintage brass nautical passage light with red glass. It measures 15" from the top of the brass hook to the bottom brass hook and 4 1/2" wide. It has a 15 ft cord and slightly shorter chain. The chain links are separated near the top- see photo and wrapped around the cord near the bottom- could be reattached with pliers. It has a mark on the brass that looks like PR. See photo. The lamp plugs in and has a switch near the plug. The cord is in very good condition. Very Cool! Thanks for looking. Send questions.
