Vintage Copper and Brass Large Hanging Cargo Nautical Ship Light Re-Wired #2
Google the name"big ship salvage" and you will learn more about who we are! You are bidding on the copper and brass cargo light shown in the above photos. This light measures 28 inches tall and weighs about 45 pounds. The wide end with the glass measures 17 1/2 inches wide with the glass being right at 15 inches wide. The top mounting pipe we have installed is 10 inches long. You can make this light shorter by changing out this pipe with a shorter piece. Or you can make the light hang further down by adding a longer pipe. This pipe is common 1/2 inch black iron pipe you can buy at most hardware stores pre-threaded. We have used a hammered gold paint to give this iron pipe a matching brass look. The ceiling mount is 3 1/8 inches wide with four mount holes. This light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts made by Westinghouse ... moreElectric. Our newly installed lighting hardware is rated for any voltage under 250 volts, so normal house power is not an issue. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb with a wattage of less than 150 watts. Since the inside housing has very little space restrictions, you can even use the newer compact fluorescent bulbs, or a spot light with a common screw in base. Our wiring exits the center hole of the ceiling mount and we provide about 30 inches of extra wiring. When we find these lights. They are painted. Up for auction is a antique bow light. I am unsure what boat this was off of but it was definitely removed from a boat here on long island. It appears to have a brass body and blue/ red glass. It does come with a wooden mount. The only issue with this light is it is chipped in the blue portion of the glass. Other then that it appears to be in nice shape. Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. RARE Vintage Lantern Light Buoy Piling Ship Anchor Dock Nautical Galv. Brass
Up for auction today is vintage nautical lantern. Different people call these types by such names as; buoy. Piling, master head, anchor, or dock lantern/ light. I am not sure of the proper name or use for this lantern. Can you inform me? It measures 17 ½” tall. The bottom is 8” in diameter, the top is 7 ½” in diameter, the lens is 4 ¾” tall(the exposed portion) and the lens is approx 5” in diameter. The lens is a dark ruby red and I see no cracks or chips. The body is galvanized metal with the rings. Latching hardware and the top ring of bottom portion being made of brass. There is a makers mark on the inside but some is missing and I cannot tell by what I can read who the maker is. Do you know? I assume that it was battery operated but there is no battery or wiring that is visible. I did not take the top portion apart and ... moredo not know if there is a bulb inside. The one photo that shows the lens bright was held up to the sun. The lantern is in good overall condition with some oxidation and rust as shown. Huge vintage Pauluhn Nautical Pier lights. stamped- cat no. 1453 Great Nautical heavy duty design. Believed to be solid brass- Will not stick to a magnet. These are mounted to bases manufactured by- Kenilworth N.J. and read Suitable for wet locations. We have not attempted to clean or polish these at all. One of the red or off red glass globes has 6 chips on its fins which are hard to notice because of the large size. The other red globe which is a slightly different tone then the other has only one chip on a fin. Both globes have some minor flea biting on the fins and scratching/ wear throughout from age and outdoor use. The brass or metal has scratching scuffing etc. and one of them has a little chunk missing shown in photograph# 3. These will need a detailed cleaning and restoration of all wiring before they can be used. This vintage nautical wall lamp came from an estate and probably dates from the 40's. The finish is all original with some wear to the brass finish.the enamel is in good condition with only a little wear to the rope area under the life preserver. It is in working condition and I believe the wiring is original. I can find no marks. Measurement are 7" X 4 1/2" at the widest points. It is a great piece with primitive charm. This is a very different table lamp I got it at an estate sale I know it is older but not sure of the year. I also don't know if it is factory made or home made. The metal I don't know what it is but its very sturdy. It NEEDS A CLEANING I don't do that I sure don't want to mess anything up.It does sit on a wooden base. This lantern was produced by Ahlemann& Schlatter. This company was founded in 1868. And was a pioneer in the nautical lighting industry fulfilling the higher technical demands of the time. They used innovations to further develop lighting technology and for over one hundred years. Ahlemann& Schlatter's products accompanied ships throughout the world. Bremen is a city in Northwestern Germany; a commercial and industrial city with a major port on the River Weser. Metallwarenfabrik is a German term for metal fabrication shop. There is an interior lamp light that provides a light glow through the glass globe. The glass globe is marked with GGG. The lantern has a nice brass finish and a boat rope that is wrapped around the wooden base. The lamp is marked Ankerlicht. The lamp comes with a burlap style shade. The bottom base is lined in felt. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. This was purchased in 1960s/ 70s in Colonial Williamsburg and is candle based. The lantern measures 11" tall/12 1/2" with handle standing. The base is 4" square and the outside guards take the width to 5 1/2" It is in great vintage condition; the brass has some wonderful patina and minor marks. While it was purchased at Colonial Williamsburg. There are no marks, there does seem to be remnants of a label on the top rim- we cannot make out if this indicated Colonial Williamsburg, the manufacturer, or the pricing details. Antique Vintage Maritime Light Fixture! Here we have a wonderful Antique Vintage Ships Light. This is a caged light with the original Glass Globe Insert. Both Cage Fixture and Globe are marked vcg 100 Killark. the cage is marked St. Lois and the globe is marked type F. Needs a good cleaning and repainting. Or leave as is for the cool patina. Vintage National Marine Lamp Co Lantern 17" tall Description Up for sale- a nice vintage/ antique brass and glass ship's lantern in excellent original condition. With a great unpolished patina. It is quite large at 17" tall, not including the handle. The dimensions are: 17" tall, 12" wide, 8" deep. DESCRIPTION: I have for auction 2 great old ship lights. I have wired them both up to a switch. And both work. You will see a bit of paint near the bottom on each one which could be removed. Wire cages and glass globes both screw off for cleaning and replacing the bulbs. The ceramic fixture says 600W. Since these were on a ship. They probably were intended to have a bright bulb. The wire cage and glass globes say"Crouse& Hinds" The cork backing of one of the lights is partially torn and missing. Visible in the photo. The other one is intact, but no longer adheres to the base. It is getting much harder to find these in good condition since these industrial lights are no longer produced. Vintage Electric Maritime Boat Ship Light Red Nautical Glass Lens Brass Works
This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. The top metal portion is bent in a couple of places. The light works great. All of this add to the character and the patina. Please see the pictures for the full description. It mounts to a wall and the lamp is always upright(even in rough water) It measures approximately 6" high(to the top of the burner) x 4 1/4" across(bracket) x 4" in diameter(mounting plate) and it will stand out from the wall about 5 3/8" This lamp is in good condition but there appears to be stress cracks in the brass, all the way around the middle of the lamp(not really noticeable and I think the brass is over another metal because ... moreit is quite heavy) Everything else looks fine and it would probably still work! Vintage Brass Ship Oil Kerosene Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Wedge Burner
This is a nice old brass ship's oil lantern. Each side has glass. With an X in brass on the outside. The top is hinged and is held shut by a large screw. The Wedge burner is removable and still has a wick and functioning knob. The top piece has some dents as pictured. The height is 9-1/2 inches and it is 4-1/8 inches square. Vintage Cast Brass Ship's Nautical Passageway Light - Rewired & Polished #3

You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 10 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 ... morevolts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. This light can be used inside or outside. It will never rust!
