Antique Maritime Oil Lamp Gavlvanized appearance but may be Brass
This Nautical Antique Oil Lamp has a galvanized appearance but I feel this is a patina created by use. I feel it may be brass or chrome plated brass as a magnet is not attracted to it. I did not want to disturb the surface as some of my buyers may appreciate the natural aging. It is 8 1/2" tall not including the top ring and 4 1/2" wide. The bottom screws off to access the oil. Container and wick. The globe in design looks something like those found in a lighthouse. As you can see from my description this is not my field of expertise, but this little lamp obviously speaks for its self to the maritime collector.

This antique brass/copper oil lamp is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina. Only 2 tiny dings at the very top of the chimney about 2mm wide. It measures 13.5"H by 7" W. I can not find a makers mark. But I don't want to polish it to find out. Many antique dealers prefer brass or copper items in there natural aged state. The glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and is beveled. Still has the original oil container with wick and the wick turner does rotate.

The son of the original lamplighter kept these and was in the process of removing galvanized paint and fitting them with electrical lamps to use as entrance lights to his home. Unfortunately he gave up on the project. You can see by the pictures that the paint has been cleaned off of one of the lamps. Very cool and Large lanterns. Each measures 16" inches tall x 9" inches wide x 9" inches deep. No guts to the lamps are inside. But you could display with candles, or wire for electric. This is a great find. This is an authentic vintage ships binnacle compass with built in oil or gas lamp. But this one has been converted to an electric table lamp. The little side cubby that would originally hold the oil now holds a small bulb and of course, another bulb at the top. Mounted on a nice wooden base, felted bottom. The compass/dial has been set so it does not move. I left the wonderful patina, but it could be cleaned and shined. I find no dings or dents. This is a nautical theme hand painted wood table lamp with a lighthouse seagulls sailing ships sailboats and ocean. It has a crackle type surface and is hand painted. The pictures do not do it justice. The colors are very strong. blue white black green yellow red. It is a gorgeous lamp. It works great. It does not come with a shade. It is 28" tall to the top, the base is about 15" tall. It was bought at an antique shop, but I think it is Vintage. It has a sticker at the bottom that says Shady Lady.

TD. Red Light! A96-0.83 3 also has 26.5 on it. Has 360 degree thick glass with tiny air bubbles. Has both hanging and suspending brackets. Has been electrified and has a large red light in it. Perfect for a collection. On a porch, next to a fish pond. So many options. Will be wrapped and probably double boxed and insured. 16 1/2" tall without the handles and at least 11" wide. Buoy Lamp/Light Metal and Glass with Bell Nautical Maritime
Nice old Nautical Buoy Light/Lamp. It is 9" tall and 4" wide. A pull chain is the On/Off switch. A brass bell sits on top and rings as the boat sways. The glass globe is frosted white and has no cracks that I can see. The cord is pretty old and the cloth is frayed in one spot. There are many scuffs and areas where there is paint loss. The whole piece needs to be cleaned. The light works fine when turned on. Please see pictures for a better description of condition. Great piece for the boating enthusiast or collector.
