The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. Inside seat measures 9 inches across and 8 inches deep. Has a layer of black. Worn leather lined. Wicker measures about 13 inches across from side to side top and about 11 inches deep. 13 inches tall from the floor to the center back of the wicker top. Wheels are about 8 inches round with the little back wheels to help prevent tipping are 1.5 inches round Pull handle extends about 22 inches long when it is placed to be straight. Fold back into the seat at about 16 inches for the baby to hold. I cannot find any types of"maker markings" No chips with some edge rubbings here and there. Wicker shows some pull with a few strips popped out a bit. Little pillow seat included. Not sure if it is an original but it sure matches the style with little tastles along the bottom in an off white, cream color showing a few age spots. This darling items deserves a loving home! When taking the photos, I attempted to display the carriage showing all pertinent characteristics that a potential buyer may be interested in. I made sure to display the unit with any potential problem areas displayed, such as the tires and bottom frame- showing the most noticable wear areas of the hardened rubber tires. This doll carriage was originally purchased or made for my aunt. The dating was determined from other family members who have discussed this at great length. My mother had always admired this carriage during the period of time in which she was becoming acquainted with my father. The point of origin would be northeastern Ohio. Vintage/Antique Wicker Carriage/Buggie~With Vintage Rare Baby Wobbles Doll
For auction is a vintage~anitque? doll buggy/carriage& what I believe to be a rare Baby Wobbles doll. The carriage/buggy is in pretty good condition. It appears to made of wicker. Wood, and a type of metal. It is brown with black frame, and black wheels, with beautiful spiraled supports. The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check ... moreover the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Measures 32" long x 16" wide x 29" tall This carriage is made of brown woven wicker. There are some areas where the pieces are broken. It has a steel frame with a wooden handle that has a lot of rust due to it's age. There is rubber on the steel rimmed wooden spoke wheels, the rubber has a lot of wear. The top of the carriage has 2 small round windows with lace covering. The inside of the carriage is very clean. There is a board on the bottom lined with cream colored linen with attached eyelet. There is a patchwork quilt that measures 25" x 22" in good condition. There is a small pillow with pillowcase that measures 9" x 5 1/2" in good condition. The actual pillow ... morehas stains on it. Antique O.W. Siebert Wicker Perambulator, Baby Carriage, Large Doll Size Pram
This auction is for an antique large doll size pram made by the"O.W. Siebert Co" of Gardner. Massachusetts. It is in good working condition however there is some damage to the wicker on the front of the pram(as seen in photos)and the inside shows signs of age but it is all original. The rubber tires with wood spoked wheels roll easily and the hood and footwell adjust as designed. Even the brake/wheel lock still operates correctly. Over the years we have used this lovely piece as an end table. Plant stand, a display for antique dolls and even as a baby carriage for our daughter as she was quite small. It could be restored if desired be we have always enjoyed it as is and believe it makes a more authentic statement in all it's original glory. Please see photos for further description. What a great find! We came across this fabulous early baby doll buggy with an ornate wooden handle. Sun shade canopy functions perfectly and flips from front to back easily. Wheels are intact and roll along as they should. The frame is metal. There is some paint wear on the handle- see pictures 8& 9. Let's talk about the wicker. Overall the wicker is in very good condition. There ARE spots where the wicker has torn.see pictures 6& 7. There are some loose ends also in the sun shade canopy.see last photo. Lastly it appears as if at some point in time a craftsman has made some mends as we notice a color differential in some parts of the buggy. Victorian Baby Buggy Very nice wicker baby carriage. Dates to the 1880s. Ornate wicker and carved wood construction. Wheels and frame are metal/ cast iron. Extremely nice condition. Measures 48" long by 40" tall by 22" wide. Very rare find. One wheel is a little bent and the rubber from the rims is long gone. No rips or tears in upholstery. The woman I purchased this from was a doll collector. It was in her family for nearly 100 years and she used it as a display piece for her dolls. It even still has the original leather strap across the seat. This is a STEAL! I will not pack and ship this. HOWEVER. The metal is bent a little and the handle bars where they attach to the wood on bottom are missing one square nut. The metal brackets that hold the hood on are bent. Antique Willow Wicker Baby Doll Carriage Meinecke Milwaukee Pram
Here is an antique wicker baby doll carriage. It has a sticker on its underside that says Meinecke Milwaukee. From the internet search. I gathered that Meineke founded a toy store there in 1855, followed by a willow factory where they among others goods, made carriages. Measures 28" tall, 24" long and generally 10" wide( top is a little wider) Steel frame with wooden handle and rubber treads. Has the adjustable back where baby can lie down more fully. Rubber treads have seen better days but it rolls smoothly and with ease. A very smart Ebayer suggested that this would make a lovely photo prop. It is not large enough to hold a baby. But a child dressed in victorian christening dress, holding this lace covered.toy would make a very pretty picture. Note: someone just told me that because the wheels are wooden. ANTIQUE LLOYD WICKER CAR SEAT BABY CARRY DOLL BUGGY CARRIAGE
This is an antique child/baby seat made by Lloyds Loom Co. I anticipate it to be turn of the century and used to transport babies in wagons or the new-fangled automobiles. It is about 28" long. It has an adjustable handle on the back to adjust the front valence. Canopy also adjusts with wing nuts. Wicker is in excellent condition- one wear spot on the canopy and a few slightly frayed ends. Some rust in the steel base and one wood cross member appears to have been replaced. It has a leather strap with"Lloyd" tooled in the middle. The end snap pulled through so I glued it with some VLP cement. I will ship in as small of box as I can which will mean taking off the canopy so some assembly will be required. Antique victorian baby carriage originally. Now I would use it for large dolls. The name of the carriage is the"Kensington" Pat'd. July 5th. 1875. It was made by S.Charles Bros. 11-10 B'way. N.Y. It measures 37 1/2" long, including the handle it measures 51" long. It is 24 1/2" wide, and 35" tall. The body is wicker. The bottom is wood. The wheels are wood with metal bands around the edges. The four center caps of the wheels are brass. The handle is wood with brass finial ends. There is a wood plaque on each end of the carriage to attach an umbrella on either top or bottom. An oval plaque with the name of the carriage is mounted on either end. There are two metal rings on each side of the wicker edge to hold a cover or blanket with clips. ANTIQUE/ VINTAGE BUNNY RABBIT BABY DOLL BUGGIE SO UNIQUE AND QUITE RARE! The wheels are iron as are the bars that go up to the wood handle. The body of the buggie is hard wicker and wood. The body of the bunny head is very heavy and I believe to be carved wood. The material inside the buggie must be cotton. But it has a stiffer feel. The fabric has some light staining, but there are no tears or holes. The lace is all in one piece with no rips or tears. Measures 24" long from the tip of the nose to the handle. Measures 21 1/2" high from the floor to the top of the handle. The body of the buggie measures 9" wide. The wood handle measures 9" wide. A very nice woman recently reached out to me with this information about the carriage. She said that she found an article about the carriage in Country Living on collecting and ... morethey said the carriage was made from various parts at different times. The wheels late 19th century. And the head first part of 20th century. The wire and wooden handle and the oval straw basket were made in late 20th century. Even though it may be a marriage of different parts, it is eye catching and has appeal to collectors with a value of $750.00. Even though this carriage is very old. And the one ear has been repaired, it is otherwise in amazing condition! This buggie would be the perfect accessory for anyone who is a doll collector. The headrest rises up and down. It measures 22" long with out the handle, 27" with the handle, it is 23" from bottom of wheel to top of sun blocker, it leans to the right alittle if you behind it, that can be ajusted. For your consideration is an antique Wicker Doll Carriage/ Pram in very nice condition for its age- Unique to this 1920’s beauty. Is braiding(in excellent condition) all around the top, sides, and bottom of the wicker. There is a lifted braid on the end, serving as a sort of handle and adding to the beauty of this piece. It is on a metal frame with a wooden bottom base, and handle(that could be painted but this is all original) Please observe the pictures as the wicker is in such good condition.
