There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. Measures 32" long x 16" wide x 29" tall This carriage is made of brown woven wicker. There are some areas where the pieces are broken. It has a steel frame with a wooden handle that has a lot of rust due to it's age. There is rubber on the steel rimmed wooden spoke wheels, the rubber has a lot of wear. The top of the carriage has 2 small round windows with lace covering. The inside of the carriage is very clean. There is a board on the bottom lined with cream colored linen with attached eyelet. There is a patchwork quilt that measures 25" x 22" in good condition. There is a small pillow with pillowcase that measures 9" x 5 1/2" in good condition. The actual pillow ... morehas stains on it. The carriage itself is set on four black wheels- two smaller wire spoke wheels are in the front, while two larger ones of a similar design are in the back. The wheels(and undercarriage) seem to be crafted out of metal in such a way that they resemble antique wrought iron. The Basket itself is done in a warm wood hue and features a moth- almost butterfly or dragonfly- design. The convertible top appears to the casual observer to be made from a waxed black fabric or oil cloth. Antique/Shabby Metal Doll Buggy/Stroller/Carriage/Unique Outdoor Planter!!
This is a very old metal carriage that I used for a planter. I had my husband drill holes in the bottom for drainage and used a horsehair liner. I had petunias in it one year. Impatiens the next and so on. Just way too cute! The buggy does roll but the wheels are loose(but still attached) and the rubber"tires" are aged and shabby as is the rest of the buggy. Measures 19" tall to top of bonnet, 22.5" tall to top of handle,16" wide at the sides, 8.5" wide at the front. This is a lightweight carriage. I think the vinyl bonnet should be treated with Armor All before another season's use. I was also going to paint the handle red but it's a fine, weathered black. Antique/Vintage Carriage Stroller Doll Buggy (Base Only)
Check out this nice old doll baby carriage foundation. Everything you need except for the basket! If you have the basket then you need this base with handle. Wheels and hubcaps to complete your project. Mounting board measures 12 inches long by 7 inches wide. of 4 screws are original and two holes where the basket would mount have not screws in them. All 4 wheels are 7 inches across with the hubcaps attached. the spokes are all there and the hard rubber on the wheels is in pretty good shape with a few dings and the shrinkage you see over a great amount of time. The bottom remnants of the original wicker basket are still visible on both sides of the base. The metal frame and wooden handle are in good shape with some paint chips. Frame is sturdy and not bent out of the original shape. There is some visible oxidation on the metal but not out ... moreright rust anywhere. A good cleaning on this base would really go a long way! This circa 1870s doll stroller is in really good shape for the year it was made. The body is made of rattan wicker and wood. Wheels are made from Brentwood metal with steel rims.The canopy is made of canvas. Also the canopy opens and closes. From top of canopy to bottom of wheels measures 35' the basket measures 23' long, 15' wide, the handle to the back of the basket measures 40' long. This stroller has been one of the most favorite conversation pieces in my home for years due to the strange way it looks. Stroller is in great shape, no rips, tears, broken wicker. It has been taken care of very well. Cleaned only with warm cloth to remove dust, never cleaned with any chemicals. What a great find! We came across this fabulous early baby doll buggy with an ornate wooden handle. Sun shade canopy functions perfectly and flips from front to back easily. Wheels are intact and roll along as they should. The frame is metal. There is some paint wear on the handle- see pictures 8& 9. Let's talk about the wicker. Overall the wicker is in very good condition. There ARE spots where the wicker has torn.see pictures 6& 7. There are some loose ends also in the sun shade canopy.see last photo. Lastly it appears as if at some point in time a craftsman has made some mends as we notice a color differential in some parts of the buggy. Please review pictures carefully and let us know if you need more! In our opinion the wicker variances are minor and don't detract much at all from the overall presentation of this terrific ... morepiece. QUALITY COLLIER ANTIQUE VINTAGE BABY CARRIAGE STROLLER PRAM DOLL COLLAPSES
Beautiful piece for display or use. These models notoriously collapse when used unless being pushed and stand up on their own with side locks when standing without movement. Also fold down very nicely. Chrome is in exceptional shape. The only flaws are shown in the photos including a slightly slipping seam(pictures on the corner hardly able to see it at all) and the stitching that came undone on the corner of the canopy. EXCELLENT SHAPE. At first I thought it was a replica but when I looked closer. It was clearly the original. White wheels, no issues. Antique Child Doll Stroller Carriage Buggy Goat Cart in Oak and Metal MINT
You are bidding on a unique carriage. Buggy or cart for a child or doll that is Victorian or Edwardian in style. The carriage is in excellent shape. The carriage is made of wood(oak) and iron. It has two adorable red spoke wheels and a decorative oak handle with interesting lines that also folds and has a locking system. The seats and cushion are also in red with gold trim. The seat has a leather strap with a picture of a young child and the seat itself has a reversible back so the child can sit facing either way. The cushion on the seat says" E-Z Go" in gold letters. This is a very tasteful and solid looking carriage or buggy. This carriage is well made and appears to have a kind of spring system to cushion the ride. Up for sale is a beautiful antique baby stroller/carriage. It`s mainly constructed of wicker. But there is some metal integrated in it as well. The wheels mimic the old style wagon wheels. This is more intricate and built better than most other strollers. The only damage to this piece is with a piece of wicker that has flexed but NOT snapped all the way through. I have tried to capture it the best I could in the last pic. The stroller is about 25 inches tall and 26 inches wide. The wheels spin freely and are attached good.nothing flimsy. I have put a bear in it with a helmet for scale. This would make a good addition to any doll collection. Any photographer could use this as a prop as well. The inside of the bed is white. The hood is the same blue as the bed and white. The bed of this pram has spring hooks so that if you remove them allows you to take the bed part of the pram off so you can set it down on any flat surface. The stroller itself measures approx. 28" tall x 34" long x 17" wide. The wheels are all metal and rubber. There are four of them. They measure approx. 7" in diameter. Overall this Pram is in good vintage condition. There are no large visible rips or tears to the material. There are a few areas on the hood and bed where the material has worn and has very small tears over the material where it is being pulled taught by the metal. There is some light rusting on the metal. The buggy seems to all be intact. On the hood of the carriage the middle metal bar is bent. It looks to be easily fixable by bending it back. This item would make a great addition to any baby doll Pram collection. An awesome antique piece. Exact age and make unknown. There are visible signs of wear such as some broken pieces of wicker( which I tried to take pictures of) and wear on interior cloth. A beautiful baby doll buggy made in the Amish Country of Illinois. I bought three of these back in the 1980's. Just sold the small one. This is the large one and I've also a medium sized one that I'm keeping. They are made of canvas, wood and metal. Very solid, sturdy and extremely well made. This large one has no issues or concerns. The handle to push the buggy is slanted and that's how it was when I bought it. It does roll w/o a problem. The bonnet can be moved up and down, but would need to be oiled. I used this for displaying numerous decorative items over the years~bears, dolls, Christmas bulbs, wrapped gifts, etc. I've also seen these used for holding toilet tissue and soaps in Victorian bathrooms. Up for auction is an authentic antique wicker doll pram/carriage from the late 1800s. It has its original stain/varnish finish and rolls easily on four 10 inch metal-spoked wheels with hard rubber tires. The tires have lots of hard rubber left. All the metal pieces are their original dark green color. I believe this to be a child's replica of the"adult" sized convertible go cart. I have done research and have located a couple of catalogs that indicate for sale a"line of doll carriages and go carts that are the exact miniatures of our finest and best large-sized goods" from the Philadelphia Baby Carriage Factory 713-715 Spring Garden Street. Phila. in the late 1800s. The golden age of doll and baby carriages is in the late 1800s and this is a great piece that urged little girls to mimic their mother in the motherly"arts" ... moreMeasurements are: From the floor to the 13" dowel handle is 27 inches. None genuine without the name"BLOCH" This is called a"go-cart" because it converts from a laying down carriage to a sitting up position which they referred to as a"go-cart" The back and the foot pieces have metal latches that hold them in either position. This is very unusual and highly collectible. This brand seems to be very rare. It's not a Heywood or a Wakefield but a BLOCH. The only appraisal I can find is one that was 475.00 several years ago.
