Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. Up for sale is our family's Antique Wicker Baby Carriage/Buggy from The National company in Perrysburg. Ohio. This was purchased for my Grandfather, an only child and then 20 years later used for his daughters, then my mother used it for me. It has since been stored indoors for over 60 years. I have used it as a beautiful decoration with artificial flowers during the year and filled with fake wrapped presents at Christmas time. I remember my mother giving a baby shower for a friend and having me push the buggy in filled with wrapped presents. All the parts work on this buggy, and there is a little hidden compartment in the bottom that is covered with a fold back cloth top for keeping valuables, diapers, etc. The wooden wheels are beautiful. This is in its original condition. It measures approximately: 45-1/2 in. high with the bonnet in ... morean upright position, the entire length is approximately 47-1/2 in. long with the bonnet down, and 46 in. with the bonnet up. The wicker body only withe the bonnet down is approximately 33-1/2 in. long. The Bonnet is 21-1/2 in wide. The wood wheels are 14-1/4 in. across. This is pick up only, though I do travel a little so possibly an arrangement can be made for delivery or to meet part way. I am selling this only because I have downsized and neither of my two children likes or wants this-they are not into antiques. This would look so gorgeous on a large porch with flowers in it, or as it was meant to be used for a baby. Please be aware that I do not accept returns. There is no reserve price on this. The carriage body with its fanciful curvy lines is constructed of woven wicker with a turned wood handle. Everything else is metal. The metal wheels with hard rubber rims work quite smoothly. Pictured in the ... more5th photo above is a mechanism behind the seat that controls the raising and lowering of the foot rest and seat back. There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. But certainly very good. I can find no holes in the wicker, but there are some very small spots of worn or chipped paint(does not appear to be re-painted) and I can see a small section(1/2 inch) of missing braided trim on the footrest(check photo close-up) Top works well, wheels turn well, and it seems to be quite sturdy all around. Looks like the interior lining is missing(as seen in first pic) but these can be easily re-lined by an experienced doll collector/restorer. Nice size, as it is not too large for storing and perfect for displaying a seated doll. Up for auction is an Antique Victorian Baby Carriage Buggy with Canopy. I believe the carriage is from the 1800's. It measures 54" long from the handle bar to the end of the front wheel. The width is 21" The height to the top of the carriage canopy is 45 1/2" The height when measured to the top of the baby basket is 32" The baby basket is 36" long& 16 1/2" wide. Two of the carriage wheels measure 22" the other two wheels measure 20" The hardware that holds the carriage canopy is made of bronze. The canopy is adjustable& removable. The lower portion of the wooden arms that connect to the handle bar have been reinforced. They both had cracks in the same area(please see photos) The carriage has minimal signs of wear& is in very good condition for it's age. Simply amazing Estate Sale find. It is wicker and canvas and wood and steel wheels. The condition is very very good. It is dirty and needs a good cleaning. It has clearly been in a barn for a long time. I am not going to clean it. I'll leave it to the new owners. There are a couple of flaws. One piece of wicker is broken but still present and the'handlebar' has been chewed on, on one end. The canvas top is solid and the folding mechanism works. I did buy it at an estate sale and it had an old faded hand written tag on it for $375. Antique Wicker Baby Buggy Early 1900's Adjustable Nice!
Up for bid this week is a beautiful Vintage Early 1900's Wicker Baby Buggy In Great Working Condition. The baby is off white and huge. It has a brake. Adjustable overhead canopy which also slides forward and back, the back of the buggy folds back into a resting position, and the foot portion actually can fold down almost to the ground, then in the middle or it can fold completely up against the buggy basket portion. The buggy has metal wheels with spokes. The buggy is in great condition-could use a good cleaning and some touchup paint possibly but I wanted to leave it in its original condition-the way I found it and let the high bidder do as he pleases as far as cleaning and painting. Antique Covered Wicker Baby Carriage Buggy
Antique Wicker Baby Carriage. This full-size buggy has an adjustable canopy. There is no lining on the inside bottom. Wood handle& wood spoke wheels measuring 13 ¼” diameter. Hard rubber tires(well used) parking brake. The canopy slides forward. Both bars for that are there and they work but one is somewhat bent. It still rolls very smooth and easy. This would be nice if restored. I bought and used it for display only for antique dolls and baby quilts and clothes for the past 25 years. The buggy measures 34 ½ inches high from floor to handle without bonnet. The front wheels still have the rubber on them but the rubber is dried out and hard. The back wheels do not have the rubber on them. It appears the wicker was originally mint green. Most of that color is off. The carriage does not include the doll or blankets shown in pictures.

It has a steel frame with a wooden handle that has a lot of rust due to it's age. There is rubber on the steel rimmed wooden spoke wheels, the rubber has a lot of wear. A great restoration project in the making. The wheels have wooden spokes. A steel rim, and appear to be wrapped in a hard rubber. The spokes on three of the wheels are in tact and strong. One of the large wheels is missing a spoke, has a loose one, and has a loose one with a crack in the end of the wood. We can see the end of the spoke, the rim side on the loose one, has a pin in the top of the wood that appears to have been pinned through the rim. Antique Vintage Swinging Baby Buggy
Up for bid is this baby buggy. Not sure of the age- definitely vintage. Possibly antique. Measures 32" long. 15" wide and 10" tall. The top will fold down. Top easily hooks to the handle and back frame. Can swing back and forth and can also be securely strapped to stay in one position. Is blue in color. Color has faded somewhat and there are a couple of tears around the hood. The rubber wheels are in good condition, just a little worn down. All in all this is a nice piece. Antique Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage in Nice Condition. Old Vintage Antique Wicker Baby Buggy Stroller. This is a great Lloyd Loom wicker baby buggy! The wicker is all intact and in perfect shape and original condition. Without any weak or broken weavers. Antique wicker baby buggy is in great condition considering how old it is. Still has original fabric on inside of carriage that is"well loved" This is a Unique Antique Baby Carriage Wicker body with glass portals. Original wheels with hard rubber tire. All original finish and upholstery which could at one time had a factory decal"Hedstrom Union Co. Gardner, Mass. USA" Circa 1890 but has disintegrated over time. The only thing that needs to be done is to clean it. And the Eisenglass(made of mica that was used in old wood stove window fronts) in the windows on either ... moreside and of course get it reupholstered. There was a manufacturer's label on the underside of the body or on the back at the base of the body. It looks like might have been a paper sticker label underneath. We are pretty sure that the Buggy was made by Heywood-Wakefield. Whitney or any other of a number of manufactures as there were many replicating this design in the 1920s-1930s. I would say ours was made in 1928. Judging from the design and everything we can find out on the Internet and a very high chance that this is a Whitney. Buggy is 45"L x 42"H x 24"W What you see is the original finish and we have not nor has anyone else ever painted over it. Since it is still in it's original condition and to paint it would severely devalue it in the eyes of a collector as you can see from the White one we found on the Internet. Antique baby buggy 19th century Paper Mache Rabbit Head Wicker Basket
This is an awesome piece and I have had it for quite some time. I hate to sell it but need to sell it generate some cash. This is the way the carriage was purchased, however it has different making times. The wheels appear to be from the late 19th century. The paper mache' animal head dates from the first part of the 20th century. The wire-and-wooden handle and the lightly colored oval straw basket were made in the late 20th century. Even though the baby buggy may be a marriage of different parts. It is quite eye catching and has decorative appeal to collectors. The actual structure of the buggy is very strong. The wheels are all wood. The rabbit head is heavy. the lining inside the basket is lightly stained see photos 11 and 12. can bee cleaned. The rabbit head does to have some restoration done on him, some repainting and maybe some ... morerepair work I am not sure what it would take. It has an appraisal value of 750.00 in good condition. I am asking 500.00 due to the rabbit head needing some work. The rabbit buggy is large and heavy for shipping. Also we will allow local pick-up. We just found this 140 year old Vintage Antique Victorian Baby Stroller. It is all here and it all works well. It is fully collapsible with springs and all and all original brackets and hardware is here, not much rust at all anywhere on the buggy. We bought this stroller with a Kestner German Doll inside from a large Estate Sale in Beverly Hills. It has been in that location for over 60 years kept inside with the doll. It appears to have the original pillow and cushion but so hard for me to tell, for sure from that age and in great condition for the age. This is a very rare item in this condition. 11 1/2" diameter with the hub having a 1/2" diameter center hole. Hub is 2 3/8" in depth. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. Rubber on the tires is good with one having about a 3/16" separation between the rubber joint. Rims are steel. They're pretty nice.
