Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. The carriage body with its fanciful curvy lines is constructed of woven wicker with a turned wood handle. Everything else is metal. The metal wheels with hard rubber rims work quite smoothly. There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. This circa 1900 antique doll buggy/stroller does not include the doll pictured. This piece has an iron frame work with wooden seat and footrest as well as turned wood spindles handle and arms. The back is made of oil clothe and has a tear in it. The buggy measures 10 x 17.5 x 24.5 high. This buggy could take gentle play but would be excellent for the collector or as a photo or stage prop. This great old sleigh measures approximately 38 inches overall length x 31 inches from bottom of runner to top of handle. The basket measure approximately 12 inches wide at widest point x 27 1/2 inches long. The deepest point in the basket is approximately 10 inches. The wooden handle is approximately 10 1/2 inches long. The black lining is in very good condition. Fasteners holding liner to wicker body are antique. Measures 32" long x 16" wide x 29" tall This carriage is made of brown woven wicker. There are some areas where the pieces are broken. It has a steel frame with a wooden handle that has a lot of rust due to it's age. There is rubber on the steel rimmed wooden spoke wheels, the rubber has a lot of wear. The top of the carriage has 2 small round windows with lace covering. The inside of the carriage is very clean. There is a board on the bottom lined with cream colored linen with attached eyelet. Antique/Shabby Metal Doll Buggy/Stroller/Carriage/Unique Outdoor Planter!!
This is a very old metal carriage that I used for a planter. I had my husband drill holes in the bottom for drainage and used a horsehair liner. I had petunias in it one year. Impatiens the next and so on. Just way too cute! The buggy does roll but the wheels are loose(but still attached) and the rubber"tires" are aged and shabby as is the rest of the buggy. Measures 19" tall to top of bonnet, 22.5" tall to top of handle,16" wide at the sides, 8.5" wide at the front. This is a lightweight carriage. I think the vinyl bonnet should be treated with Armor All before another season's use. I was also going to paint the handle red but it's a fine, weathered black. Antique White Wicker DOLL Buggy. Complete with Pink Bedding- Description: This baby doll buggy stroller is in good condition. The basket is woven wicker and the paint is original ivory. The frame is black iron and the hardware is also black. The hood on the basket is adjustable so you can see into the basket from either end. The hood has two peep holes on the sides. So mom can catch a glimpse of the little one. There is an adjustable catch panel inside the basket as well so the baby can lay back further. Good wicker condition. Metal frame very slightly crooked; only noticeable from the front. Paint appears to be original; it would benefit from a touch-up but I wanted to keep it's character. The wheels are wood with hard rubber rims. There is a locking mechanism for the wheels. Push the pedal by the back wheels down and the front wheels ... morewill lock in place. The handle has a wood grip in the center of the bar. This buggy is in every good condition for its age. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. Antique/Vintage Carriage Stroller Doll Buggy (Base Only)
Check out this nice old doll baby carriage foundation. Everything you need except for the basket! If you have the basket then you need this base with handle. Wheels and hubcaps to complete your project. Mounting board measures 12 inches long by 7 inches wide. of 4 screws are original and two holes where the basket would mount have not screws in them. All 4 wheels are 7 inches across with the hubcaps attached. the spokes are all there and the hard rubber on the wheels is in pretty good shape with a few dings and the shrinkage you see over a great amount of time. The bottom remnants of the original wicker basket are still visible on both sides of the base. The metal frame and wooden handle are in good shape with some paint chips. Frame is sturdy and not bent out of the original shape. There is some visible oxidation on the metal but not out ... moreright rust anywhere. A good cleaning on this base would really go a long way! 11 1/2" diameter with the hub having a 1/2" diameter center hole. Hub is 2 3/8" in depth. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. Rubber on the tires is good with one having about a 3/16" separation between the rubber joint. Rims are steel. They're pretty nice. This circa 1870s doll stroller is in really good shape for the year it was made. The body is made of rattan wicker and wood. Wheels are made from Brentwood metal with steel rims.The canopy is made of canvas. Also the canopy opens and closes. From top of canopy to bottom of wheels measures 35' the basket measures 23' long, 15' wide, the handle to the back of the basket measures 40' long. This stroller has been one of the most favorite conversation pieces in my home for years due to the strange way it looks. Stroller is in great shape, no rips, tears, broken wicker. It has been taken care of very well. Cleaned only with warm cloth to remove dust, never cleaned with any chemicals. What a great find! We came across this fabulous early baby doll buggy with an ornate wooden handle. Sun shade canopy functions perfectly and flips from front to back easily. Wheels are intact and roll along as they should. The frame is metal. There is some paint wear on the handle- see pictures 8& 9. Let's talk about the wicker. Overall the wicker is in very good condition. There ARE spots where the wicker has torn.see pictures 6& 7. There are some loose ends also in the sun shade canopy.see last photo. Lastly it appears as if at some point in time a craftsman has made some mends as we notice a color differential in some parts of the buggy. It has two adorable red spoke wheels and a decorative oak handle with interesting lines that also folds and has a locking system. The seats and cushion are also in red with gold trim. The seat has a leather strap with a picture of a young child and the seat itself has a reversible back so the child can sit facing either way. The cushion on the seat says" E-Z Go" in gold letters. This is a very tasteful and solid looking carriage or buggy. This carriage is well made and appears to have a kind of spring system to cushion the ride. It is in surprisingly good shape considering its age: the wheels and"tire" are good and the wood and leather ... moreare in nice shape. The paint is mostly there although there is some crazing. An awesome antique piece. Exact age and make unknown. There are visible signs of wear such as some broken pieces of wicker( which I tried to take pictures of) and wear on interior cloth. The handle is in good condition and is of metal and wood and the wheels are in excellent shape. Would make a great photo prop!

A beautiful baby doll buggy made in the Amish Country of Illinois. I bought three of these back in the 1980's. Just sold the small one. This is the large one and I've also a medium sized one that I'm keeping. They are made of canvas, wood and metal. Very solid, sturdy and extremely well made. This large one has no issues or concerns. The handle to push the buggy is slanted and that's how it was when I bought it. It does roll w/o a problem. The bonnet can be moved up and down, but would need to be oiled. I used this for displaying numerous decorative items over the years~bears, dolls, Christmas bulbs, wrapped gifts, etc. I've also seen these used for holding toilet tissue and soaps in Victorian bathrooms. Very versatile. Measures~26" tall w/bonnet up as seen in photos, 20" wide at the sides, 10" wide at the ... moreback and front, the inside is 16"x9.5"x6" Weighs just shy of 7 lbs. before packing materials and box. I've used this old girl for everything from a planter(hence the drilled holes) To a home for dolls and bears, packed with a pile of small presents at Christmas, bunnies and candy at Easter, or filled with Prim. whatnots! I've seen them used in Victorian homes for holding bathroom tissue and soaps. Very old, authentic, and still rollin' Measures 23" from bottom to top of wood and metal handle,will be shipped w/handle detached, screws included) body is 16"x5" 7-1/4" width at back and front, interior bottom of carriage is 12-3/4"x 6-3/4" the wheels at back are 8-3/4" wide, wheels at front are 8.5" The bonnet is 12x8" and will extend but should be oiled. Definitely a classic, versatile and seasonal antique piece. This is an authentic antique, not a reproduction.
