A great restoration project in the making. The wheels have wooden spokes. A steel rim, and appear to be wrapped in a hard rubber. The spokes on three of the wheels are in tact and strong. One of the large wheels is missing a spoke, has a loose one, and has a loose one with a crack in the end of the wood. We can see the end of the spoke, the rim side on the loose one, has a pin in the top of the wood that appears to have been pinned through the rim. She's rusty and ... morethe chassis does not flex as it looks like it was designed to do. 11 1/2" diameter with the hub having a 1/2" diameter center hole. Hub is 2 3/8" in depth. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. Rubber on the tires is good with one having about a 3/16" separation between the rubber joint. Rims are steel. They're pretty nice. It has a wood handle and wood, spoked wheels, a brake, an adjustable canopy that can be position on either side or completely removed. It is mostly of wicker construction but the bottom of the buggy has wood. The wicker is in good condition without missing or broken wicker. The rubber on the wheels is worn but still in good condition. This gorgeous antique buggy could be used for walks, would be a fabulous piece for a baby shower to use as an artifact to hold gifts and it would also serve an infant photographer well as a prop. These 4 brand new replacement wheels(for either doll or baby buggy/stroller/carriage) these were in the original box that they were mailed in when I got them but the box was completely falling apart so I do not have it- I would guess these to be over 50 years old because the former owner's only daughter is over 60 years old. The name'Chris Kaye Madison. Ill. 4751' is on the wheels. They are rubber and plastic but heavy thick plastic, they feel like metal but a magnet will not stick to them. The greenish part is exactly 3 1/4" across and with the rubber, they are a little over 4 1/4" They are very pretty with no scratches. Package will be a little over 2 pounds. These were likely wheels used on high-end buggies for the elite. The tires measure 10" in diameter outside to outside. They are made of a hard durable material much like trike tires. The wheels are metal with metal spokes. The center caps are made of hard plastic with the Welsh logo placed in the center. These are 4 E-Z Roll wheels. Hard rubber with hubcaps and spokes. 12" outside diameter. The inside diameter of the hole in the center that holds the wheel on is about 7/16" The 4 hubcaps say Sto_line- looks like it might be Storkline. They are 3 1/2" in diameter. There are 8 washers also. The wheels have wear on them and a few small chunks missing. The paint is missing in areas of the rims.
