It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. It is in as-found condition and could use a bit of restoration or you could leave it just as is and it would make a wonderful display stroller for old bisque dolls or old teddy bears. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. Up for auction is an Antique Victorian Baby Carriage Buggy with Canopy. I believe the carriage is from the 1800's. It measures 54" long from the handle bar to the end of the front wheel. The width is 21" The height to the top of the carriage canopy is 45 1/2" The height when measured to the top of the baby basket is 32" The baby basket is 36" long& 16 1/2" wide. Two of the carriage wheels measure 22" the other two wheels measure 20" The hardware that holds the carriage canopy is made of bronze. The canopy is adjustable& removable. The lower portion of the wooden arms that connect to the handle bar have been reinforced. Antique Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage from the late 1800's to the early 1900's in nearly mint condition The carriage body is made of wicker with a metal frame. It appears to have never been painted. The wheels still maintain their original rubber on steel spokes. The carriage top is adjustable to flip forward or back to block sunlight as needed. The foot rest is also adjustable to fit an infant to a toddler to a sitting or prone position. All moving parts work. There are no manufacturer tags or marks that I can find. Antique 1900's Victorian baby carriage / stroller - Geo W. Travers, NYC
You are looking at a Victorian era antique wicker baby stroller by Geo W. Travers of New York City. I'm not sure exactly what year this was made. However after doing some internet research, it seems that it's from the early 1900's. I purchased this lovely piece at a Victorian antique store in Belvidere, New Jersey about 14 years ago. Years ago, it was once painted and the paint was removed some time after that as you can see from the detail in the photos. The bottom lifts up as you can see between photo 1 and photo 2. Everything is all original and I have done nothing to this piece as to not affect the antique value of it. The wheels are green with black rubber on them. Slightly worn but not badly at all. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. VTG OAK *RARE* VICTORIAN MUSEUM QUALITY BABY CARRIAGE UMBRELLA PRAMBULATOR BUGGY
In this listing. We have a very RARE and Spectacular Victorian Baby Carriage(Prambulator) in what I believe is it's original condiition including the attached umbrella. I believe it is from the late 1800's and quite a beautiful and unique piece. It could and actually should be placed in a museum. This is a quality carriage and quite large. It measures approximately 43" long, without handle and 26" wide(Hub to Hub) The basket size is approximately 33" L x 19" w and the height is approximately 60" as pictured but the umbrella is adjustable. Handle to front of wheel measures about 53" The spoked front wheels are approximately 20" in diameter and the larger rear wheels are approximately 22" in diameter. The original padding, one side pink, the other side blue is faded with some stains but still ... morein great condition for its age. The umbrella is stained some too but when I originally acquired it, I removed the stains. I did this by carefully applying a stain remover. It looked great but after about 20 years in my home, it could be cleaned and done again or leave as it is. This will be the buyers decision. If you own an antique store or have a doll collection. Don't miss out on this amazing carriage. We are moving to a much smaller place now so I can no longer keep many of my things. Although it's been fun. I won't have room for them anymore. Working wheels(but a little wobbly which could probably be tightened- check out the neat hubcaps) adjustable swing hood. When the flexible hood is up it is 13 inches tall. The"bowl" is about 7.5" long and 5" wide, the wheels are very primitive. I see no markings. It seems very old but I have no idea who made it or exactly when. Weighs almost 2 pounds before packing. Missing one wheel. I will insure the shipment.

This is an antique wicker baby with wooden spoke red wheels with rubber tires. It comes from the antique clothing and accessories collection that was my mother and grandmother's. A beautiful baby doll buggy made in the Amish Country of Illinois. I bought three of these back in the 1980's. Just sold the small one. This is the large one and I've also a medium sized one that I'm keeping. They are made of canvas, wood and metal. Very solid, sturdy and extremely well made. This large one has no issues or concerns. The handle to push the buggy is slanted and that's how it was when I bought it. It does roll w/o a problem. The bonnet can be moved up and down, but would need to be oiled. I used this for displaying numerous decorative items over the years~bears, dolls, Christmas bulbs, wrapped gifts, etc. I've also seen these used for holding toilet tissue and soaps in Victorian bathrooms. Very versatile. 1800's Wicker Victorian Baby Carriage ~~Full Size~~NO RESERVE
You are looking at a full size Victorian vintage wicker/pram baby carriage. It's in great condition overall. The metal wheels have some worn areas in the rubber and it seems this was once painted white as you can see in the photos. I purchased this carriage exactly as it appears in the photos from an antique store in Belvidere. New Jersey several years ago. The foot part folds down as you can see. The metal manufacturer(tag shown in the photo) was"Geo W. Travers, New York City" and the tag is located on the bottom rear beneath the seat. Of course, due to safety regulations, this is not intended for a child. It would look lovely in a guest room or child's room filled with antique dolls or stuffed animals. Up for auction is a beautiful and functional Victorian baby carriage made of wicker and metal. Unlike most carriages from this era available for sale this carriage has a brass plate that says S.A. Smith& Co. Brattleboro. Vt. I have uncovered some information about this company in Vermont from when it was first established and then evolved to make other tools later in the century. This information will be given to the purchaser. It is a xerox copy. Very interesting reading. The carriage will accept a parasol on the end near the head. A brass connector is present. Antique victorian baby carriage originally. Now I would use it for large dolls. The name of the carriage is the"Kensington" Pat'd. July 5th. 1875. It was made by S.Charles Bros. 11-10 B'way. N.Y. It measures 37 1/2" long, including the handle it measures 51" long. It is 24 1/2" wide, and 35" tall. The body is wicker. The bottom is wood. The wheels are wood with metal bands around the edges. The four center caps of the wheels are brass. The handle is wood with brass finial ends. There is a wood plaque on each end of the carriage to attach an umbrella on either top or bottom. An oval plaque with the name of the carriage is mounted on either end. There are two metal rings on each side of the wicker edge to hold a cover or blanket with clips. There are 2 separate pieces to the baby buggy carriage which are original to each other and came together-the pieces are not attached to each other as the straps and mechanisms which held them together are not present-please view pics of the two separate pieces-pieces are original to each other and the carriage and were one unit when made in the 19th century(see pics) I will mail these pieces separately(in individual boxes) because of the size& weight consideration when mailing. Antique Victorian Child's Baby Carriage Buggy Stroller Dated 1877& Signed Description This is an exquisite Antique Victorian Baby Stroller with its original umbrella frame and attachment. All parts are original including the reclining seat. The seat upholstery has been professionally recovered without removing the original fabric or stuffing( this was done due to excessive fraying of the original fabric) The feet area tapestry is original and still intact( does show wear) The original umbrella was also recovered over the old fabric due to torn& worn original fabric. The umbrella is adjustable and all the mechanisms are intact and working. The best part of this beautiful stroller is the great condition of the carriage body& frame work and the fact that it still has the manufactures dated plaque attached to the back of the stroller ... moreseat( see photos) Manufactured by the Downing Carriage Co. Erie, PA. Patents range from 1877 to 1883. The front part of the stroller is surrounded by ornate spindles and ornately shaped cane. Which forms a heart shape design along all three sides. The two sides of the stroller also have metal safety rails attached. The outer sides of the stroller seat are oak wood framed with tightly woven wicker panels that are all intact with no holes present. The side pins that hold the seat in an upright position are present. These pins can be removed to lay the baby down. The child’s strap-in leather belt is also present; however. One end is missing a short piece of the strap; both buckles are present. The front two side wheels measure 20" in diameter and are all wood with metal rims. The two back side wheels measure 22" in diameter and are also all wood with metal rims. There is one tin hub cap missing on the left front wheel( decorative only. Does not affect the function of the wheel or stroller- see photo) The push handle is all solid oak. Ornately shaped with metal tin caps on the ends. There is some minor surface rust on areas of the metal frame underneath the stroller

We also have a pillow/liner to support the baby; it is filled with dacron and features a larger section for the head/shoulders/back and a long, lower section for the legs and feet; this pillow/liner is for small babies that cannot sit up. Assembly: The undercarriage needs to be screwed onto the bottom of the basket section; we have predrilled the holes and screws are included. Then. The wheels need to be put on: unscrew the end cap on axle end, put the wheel on, rescrew end cap and then use the cotter pin to secure the end cap so it won’t unscrew when rolled. Don’t mix and match end caps; they match the post they are on.

Antique Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage w/ Parasol. Pram Style Buggy. Early 1890 This baby carriage is from the Victorian period and in nice working condition. A wonderful display for photography. Displaying a doll collection. Or pushing your little angel around town. Update: I had a local seamstress sew a beautiful new cover for the parasol with lace. See new photos. And I will include the old pattern with the carriage. But this really made a wonderful addition to this carriage. The material is free floating and not sewn into the umbrella. And this could be done for a tighter fit. But this way the material is not under stress for display. The material looks to all be original and complete with both sides. Bottom and back. The buggy measures 35" inches tall without the adjustable& folding parasol. The length with the footrest to the ... morehandle is 42" inches long and the width is widest part of the back wheels which measures 22 1/4" inches wide. The footrest is free and adjustable back support allows for the seat to lay down for a bed. The carriage rolls freely and easily and is a black steel frame. And the carriage has a foot brake that holds firm. The frame of the parasol is complete without any damage and a unique folding design. A true survivor and a beautiful piece of American history and one sure to get all the right attention. Condition is great with just two minor repairs besides the parasol cover and lace with will need repairing or replacing. The reattaching the wicker side foot panel(or leave it off) And there is a little bow to the one foot rest sides from the side panel being off. The material on the parasol is new(see update above) So the only damage is on the wicker footrest where one of the sides have come off and these two pieces are included in the sale for reattaching. It appears the wicker was painted or maybe this is the original paint. Not sure, it all looks untouched as the paint is concerned. Beautiful. This is a very old victorian stick and ball carriage C 1890. It has muted colors of red. White, and blue. This carriage is frail and has chipping paint and some wood splitting on front wheels.
