Vintage Taylor Tot Stroller with Wheel Cowlings 1930-60s Blue and White
This is an intact Taylor Tot stroller from the 1930-60s. This model has Streamlined Wheel Cowlings and all wheels turn and have their rubber. The left rear rubber wheel rim is a little flattened because of the braking mechanism that locks into that wheel. Some of the paint is worn off as pictured. There is a removable metal foot rest and removable push handle. The playbeads are wooden as is the seat. With the handle and foot rest removed these strollers were used by semi-walking children to motivate themselve around like a walker car. The pictures are all of the actual item that we are selling. We will ship the stroller with the push handle removed and folded by the removal of one screw which will be secured back in the empty hole and protected by good packing materials. There is some surface rust in spots and scrapes in the paint. There are no markings on the tires to indicate make. Here’s the weird part; they have different diameter axle holes with one at.318. VINTAGE 1940'S DELUXE TAYLOR TOT BABY STROLLER, RARE VERSION W WHEEL SKIRTS !*
Here is a recent estate find in Maryland. This is a Taylor Tot Deluxe model stroller/walker with wheel Shirts. Park brake and adjustable seat back which raises and reclines! If you look at some of the other ones on ebay you'll see the differences in this model from the others. I believe this is the 1948 model but not positive. When I aquired this it had some restoration done but it was incomplete. Some of the red paint is flaking in spots. Some of the bolts and screws were missing or were the incorrect size and falling out/ or off. I've installed the correct size bolts, nuts, washers and screws and tightened everything up and lubed the wheels and pivots so it works and rolls smoothly. I'll leave any other restorations to the buyer to do with what they want. This is an excellent example of this model. The brake lever moves easily ... morewith a push of your foot to lock rods into holes in the rear wheels. Looks all original except for paint. We found this piece at an old farmhouse. And it's in"farm fresh" condition and would look great as a decor piece. This piece was made in the late 1800's or very early 1900's by the Gendron Wheel Company in Toledo, Ohio. The buggy has a solid iron frame that is in good shape, a lined wicker basket with an adjustable cover and iron wheels with hard rubber tires. There is one panel on the end that lays down flat so you can get the baby in and out easily or lay them down flat to change a diaper. This is a great antique piece that would be a fun restoration ... moreproject and would make a great"rustic" decor piece as it sits now! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. We picked this out of an old farmhouse and it's in"farm fresh" condition. So it is definitely not pristine. The iron frame has some pitting and oxidation throughout. The wicker basket has some wear with a some loose spots and some holes on the cover and near the edges. The interior liner has a lot of wear. The wheels have wear but are in good working condition. The stroller rolls easily, but the basket on it is becoming brittle in spots. Overall this is in rustic condition and would be great for restoration or display as is. This wonderful stroller comes from an estate- it is adorable and would make a great restoration project. I've been told when finished. These can bring close to $1,200! It sitting portion of the stroller is 18" tall from floor and the handle is 32" from the floor. The tires are very nice with only a few places where the outer edge is missing(see pictures) The wheels are beautiful spoke wheels that are 10 inches across with a dozen metal spokes. 6 on the inside and six on the outside of each wheel. The metal frame is made of flat steel that must have been forged to turn and go around the axles. Both of the wooden arm rests and the bottom seat are still very nice and solid. There are four old strings/cords that are hanging on it that I'll just leave well enough alone as I think they ad even more character to this little carriage/ baby buggy/ wheel chair. We're located a beautiful 5 hour drive north west of the Mackinaw Bridge. High bidder is responsible for all actual shipping fees. Vintage Metal Baby Stroller 1940's-50s Bead Wheel Fenders Gray Retro Taylor Tot
An excellent example of a VINTAGE TAYLOR TOT Stroller. Made between the 1940's thru the 1950's this stroller has been unmolested and left in it's original condition over the years. Original Gray Paint and all 4 Airflow Wheel covers are still intact along with the wooden play balls on the front circular bar. The white rubber piping that covers the bars around the stroller are all cracked from age but they are still there but could be replaced. Antique Victorian 1800s Baby Child Stroller Buggy Wheelchair Wheel Chair Folding
A very nice and fully functional antique stroller circa late 1800's/early 1900's made of metal. Wood and wicker. Wheels roll easily and it is foldable/ collapsible. Nice age appropriate wear of the wood and patina to the metal. The handles appear to have been re-varnished in recent years. A piece of wicker threaded through the footrest is broken. There are a couple of small pieces of rubber from the wheels that have come off and two spokes are missing- does not impede or detract from the functionality of the piece. On the left handlebar there is a bracket/ mount that at one time might have held a bell( An excellent display for dolls or by itself. Given its age. It is not a toy nor appropriate for transporting real live children, of course. 37 inches tall. 17 inches wide and about 28 inches deep at full size.

Vintage 1940's Taylor Tot Stroller - The nice model with the wheel fairings
This auction is for a vintage Taylor Tot stroller. It is the more desirable type which has the streamlined wheel fairings. These are really excellent for cutting down on wind resistance at speeds over 60 miles per hour. This one has some paint loss as can be seen in the pictures. But no significant rust on the body; the only rust is some superficial rust on the thick wires which hold the rubber and wooden beads. The rubber has cracks and some areas where bits of it are missing. It is stamped 1946 on the bottom. I am also including some striated white rubber tubing which I had bought when I was planning to restore this stroller; it is a dead ringer for the original. I consider this stroller a very good candidate for restoration, but I have just too many projects waiting to be done and not enough time, and I've decided to try to part with ... moreit as-is rather than to let it keep waiting its turn in the barn along with a whole lot of others. The handle is made to be removed, so it can be shipped in a smaller(but not small! box, so I think that shipping will be feasible even though this is a pretty large item.
