Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. The carriage body with its fanciful curvy lines is constructed of woven wicker with a turned wood handle. Everything else is metal. The metal wheels with hard rubber rims work quite smoothly. Pictured in the ... more5th photo above is a mechanism behind the seat that controls the raising and lowering of the foot rest and seat back. There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. Measures 32" long x 16" wide x 29" tall This carriage is made of brown woven wicker. There are some areas where the pieces are broken. It has a steel frame with a wooden handle that has a lot of rust due to it's age. There is rubber on the steel rimmed wooden spoke wheels, the rubber has a lot of wear. The top of the carriage has 2 small round windows with lace covering. The inside of the carriage is very clean. There is a board on the bottom lined with cream colored linen with attached eyelet. There is a patchwork quilt that measures 25" x 22" in good condition. There is a small pillow with pillowcase that measures 9" x 5 1/2" in good condition. The actual pillow ... morehas stains on it. 11 1/2" diameter with the hub having a 1/2" diameter center hole. Hub is 2 3/8" in depth. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. Rubber on the tires is good with one having about a 3/16" separation between the rubber joint. Rims are steel. They're pretty nice. Antique baby doll stroller,carriage,buggy,circa 1870
This circa 1870s doll stroller is in really good shape for the year it was made. The body is made of rattan wicker and wood. Wheels are made from Brentwood metal with steel rims.The canopy is made of canvas. Also the canopy opens and closes. From top of canopy to bottom of wheels measures 35' the basket measures 23' long, 15' wide, the handle to the back of the basket measures 40' long. This stroller has been one of the most favorite conversation pieces in my home for years due to the strange way it looks. Stroller is in great shape, no rips, tears, broken wicker. It has been taken care of very well. Cleaned only with warm cloth to remove dust, never cleaned with any chemicals. What a great find! We came across this fabulous early baby doll buggy with an ornate wooden handle. Sun shade canopy functions perfectly and flips from front to back easily. Wheels are intact and roll along as they should. The frame is metal. There is some paint wear on the handle- see pictures 8& 9. Let's talk about the wicker. Overall the wicker is in very good condition. There ARE spots where the wicker has torn.see pictures 6& 7. There are some loose ends also in the sun shade canopy.see last photo. Lastly it appears as if at some point in time a craftsman has made some mends as we notice a color differential in some parts of the buggy. Please review pictures carefully and let us know if you need more! In our opinion the wicker variances are minor and don't detract much at all from the overall presentation of this terrific ... morepiece. A beautiful baby doll buggy made in the Amish Country of Illinois. I bought three of these back in the 1980's. Just sold the small one. This is the large one and I've also a medium sized one that I'm keeping. They are made of canvas, wood and metal. Very solid, sturdy and extremely well made. This large one has no issues or concerns. The handle to push the buggy is slanted and that's how it was when I bought it. It does roll w/o a problem. The bonnet can be moved up and down, but would need to be oiled. I used this for displaying numerous decorative items over the years~bears, dolls, Christmas bulbs, wrapped gifts, etc. I've also seen these used for holding toilet tissue and soaps in Victorian bathrooms. Very versatile. Was given to me by my grandmother. But no longer collecting baby dolls. I am not for sure on the detail of exactly what the doll is or where it came from, but I do know all of it parts are original and both are 30+ years old. The carriage is in good condition with no missing pieces or cracks. My grandmother says the doll is porcelain, but looks to me like a hard plastic. This is an antique child/baby seat made by Lloyds Loom Co. I anticipate it to be turn of the century and used to transport babies in wagons or the new-fangled automobiles. It is about 28" long. It has an adjustable handle on the back to adjust the front valence. Canopy also adjusts with wing nuts. Wicker is in excellent condition- one wear spot on the canopy and a few slightly frayed ends. Some rust in the steel base and one wood cross member appears to have been replaced. It has a leather strap with"Lloyd" tooled in the middle. The end snap pulled through so I glued it with some VLP cement. I will ship in as small of box as I can which will mean taking off the canopy so some assembly will be required. The carriage is wood with a scalloped edge, looks like original paint, the wheels are also wood. There is a curved metal support under the carriage, a portion of one bracket is missing. The metal piece in front of the handle may have held some type of cover that is gone now. The wheels wobble and are intact. The interior of the carriage is partially lined with antique wallpaper. Estate Antique Large Wicker Doll Carriage. Measures approximately 22" long. 12" wide, 22" high- excluding the handle. Handle measures approx. 22" from where it is attached at bottom and 10" wide. Excellent used antique condition given the age. Seems to have all original parts. Believed to be circa 1920s period. Wheels move freely. Handle and wheels have some rust. Wicker is quite well preserved Small piece of trim is unattached but included. Few loose areas. This piece is being sold as found. We do not clean or alter any of our antiques because it may detract from the intrinsic value. Pillow is not original and is not included.

Antique 1800s-1900s Baby Doll Carriage Thank you for looking at my auction. Here I have a Late 1800s Early 1900s Baby Doll Carriager- Stroller. This item was bougth at an Estate Auction where i bought several items from the lat 1800s. I give you several pictures even one of my 3 year grandson pushing it. Probaly hate me later for it but damn tell me he's not a good looking boy. The Carriage is made of wicker. The top piece folds forward and back again for the sun or wind. The headrest rises up and down. It measures 22" long with out the handle, 27" with the handle, it is 23" from bottom of wheel to top of sun blocker, it leans to the right alittle if you behind it, that can be ajusted. One wheel is missing the rubber. I do not clean or restore items i flip them. This Carriage will clean up nice. For your consideration is an antique Wicker Doll Carriage/ Pram in very nice condition for its age- Unique to this 1920’s beauty. Is braiding(in excellent condition) all around the top, sides, and bottom of the wicker. There is a lifted braid on the end, serving as a sort of handle and adding to the beauty of this piece. It is on a metal frame with a wooden bottom base, and handle(that could be painted but this is all original) Please observe the pictures as the wicker is in such good condition. The fabric interior needs a stictch to attach it to the adjustable top and repair a hole in the back of the flip top. The dimensions are 31 inches long. 13 inches wide, 29 inches high with 8 inch spoke wheels. Included is some cotton bedding and a small country pillow for display.
