PRAM BABBY BUGGY-Vintage Wilson Silver Cross English - NICE !!
This PRAM SILVERCROSS baby buggy is in great shape for its age. I believe it was made in the 1950s. And has the white with pink flowers on the sides. It has all of the original parts as well as the front matching maroon accessory bag to the top that few of them out there have. Sides are like new, from has a few small dents and there is some of the paint worn off the suspension. See pics. BUGGY TOP Fabric is soft and color is great but the corner hinges when the top comes down have worn through in a few places. See pics. Not sure how well the brakes work but the mechanism is all there. Tires have good amount of tread but the rubber looks to be drying out some. Two of the leather straps supporting carriage broke while I was putting the carriage back together so I used bungee cords to demonstrate how it is supposed to be(see photo) I do have the original strap and if taken to a shoemaker most likely can be repaired or they can make a new one. Original mattress. Inside the white leather has no rips and is overall good shape. Chrome wheels do have areas of rust but are original and intact. Navy blue in color. vintage Silver Cross baby pram 1940s Viceroy
You are bidding on a vintage 1940s Silver Cross pram. The model is called the Viceroy and is considered the top of the line model in its day. This pram has leather straps suspension and they are in good condition. The brake is operational. It has the original mattress and does not have any holes. There is normal discoloration spots but is in very good condition for its age. There is a covered compartment under the mattress. The hood has some wear holes at the corners of the frame(see pictures) The wheels move freely and each has a"hub cap" that says Silver Cross. The handle has Silver Cross engraved into it. There is a metal plate on the underside with the number 106349 which I believe is a serial number. Please ask questions if you have them and I will try to answer them. This is a pick up only item. Wilson Silver Cross Baby Pram Carriage Pastorale White Blue Large Size Vintage
This is a wonderful vintage Wilson Silver Cross baby pram. Model Pastorale White from the late 1950s or early 1960s. The pram body is an off white(some of the photos make it look more yellow, which it is not) with pink and blue decoration flowers. The cover is a baby blue. I believe all the pieces are original and the item has not been restored. There are some signs of age and wear including a light dent in one side of the body, some scratches, edge wear, wear to the cover, all of which I have tried to show in the photos. This is a full size pram, measuring approximately 52 inches long(including the handle) 52 inches tall(including the cover) 36 inches tall(excluding the cover) wheels are 25 and 20 inches and it is 20 inches across(all measurements are approximate) This model was one of the most expensive made by the Silver Cross company ... moreat the time. 1960's Vintage Swan Coach-Built Pram/ Silver Cross Antique Piece History: Silver Cross is well known for the manufacture of traditional coach-built prams. Characterised by a hard body, C-spring suspension, spoked wheels and folding hood. This method of pram building was pioneered by William Wilson, an engineer and inventor from Leeds, England. Wilson went on to establish Silver Cross in 1877, marketing this type of coach-built baby carriage, and registering numerous patents for perambulator design in order to protect his unique invention. Despite refinements in techniques and manufacturing processes. The method of pram building today remains very similar to early pram building, with body panels being pressed from aluminium, riveted together and then painted to a high gloss finish. The body is then hand upholstered with a pram bed, and ... morealso decorated with fine line detail(in kind with fine lines applied to the coachwork of horse-drawn carriages- hence the term coach-built pram) The fine lines are hand painted and require considerable skill to apply. VINTAGE BLUE SILVER CROSS BABY CARRIAGE PRAM BUGGIE STROLLER Not sure what year this was made and there isn't a name plate on this from what I can see. However. The floral medallion on the sides seem to indicate this is a SILVER CROSS There are no rips or tears on this but the mattress needs cleaning. I decided not to clean this item because as a collector(pack rat) of many things. I know some things need to be cleaned, or not a certain way. Depending on whether you use this for a child or decorative use determines what chemicals you'd use to clean this. I'll leave that to the new owner to decide. Large Antique Silver Cross Pram Baby Stroller Carriage Buggy 1950s WASHINGTON DC
Up for sale. A large antique Silver Cross Pram Baby Stroller- Carriage- Buggy. Stroller is earth brown color, made during the 1950s in Birmingham, England. The metal baby carrier can be removed off the chrome chassis. The bedding can be propped up. This is a very nice stroller. This stroller is a full size. It measures roughly 46" tall x 45" long with the handles open x 24" wide, from wheel to wheel. I don't know if the white bedding is original or not. Condition: Wear is expected of a baby carriage this old. Below I've listed everything that I see on the pram. 1) There are no tears or rips in the fabric. It looks very good. 2) On the fabric that covers the bed area. Which comes off, liguid was spilled on one area. 3) The rubber wheels and the break pad show the most wear. They are cracked and dry. 4) One of the two ... morebreak pads is missing. 5) On all four sides of the metal carrier there are a few scratches. Noticable on close inspection. 6) The chrome chassis looks good with m inimal surface rust. Except around the spokes area on the wheels. 7) T he ribbed black handle has a little white mark. Removable with the right cleaner. 8) The metal logo on the front side has part of it loose and disconnected from the rest of the logo. Seen in the 4th photo. The logo looks intact. If left alone, the logo stays intact, but if you move the last 1/2" smaller right part of the logo, it moves, which could be super glued to keep it stayed together. Shipping note: Local pick up is available in the Washington DC area. Stroller is large and heavy. I'll mail the stroller in two boxes. The shipping cost will include insurance and tracking info. I could ship this via Greyhound. The cost would be less, but there is no insurance for it, and it would be transfered from bus to bus across country. International buyers. Vintage Silver Cross 1960's English pram stroller in very good condition. This was stored in my neighbors barn. Covered over with a tarp/blanket for many years and i told her it was to valuable to just sit so it is up for grabs! With the hood up it measurez 46" tall by 49" long. The largest wheel is 19" around. The tires are cracked but do not hinder the stroller from rolling nicely. The leather straps all around are in excellent condition. There are a few small holes at the base of the conopy on the right side but other than that the canvas is intact and in surprisingly great condition! The brake works. All the accent pieces are intact. Some minor rust on the frame around the. rivets. But otherwise very little rust to be seen. Removeable protector is original. Just beautiful!
