Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. Up for sale is our family's Antique Wicker Baby Carriage/Buggy from The National company in Perrysburg. Ohio. This was purchased for my Grandfather, an only child and then 20 years later used for his daughters, then my mother used it for me. It has since been stored indoors for over 60 years. I have used it as a beautiful decoration with artificial flowers during the year and filled with fake wrapped presents at Christmas time. I remember my mother giving a baby shower for a friend and having me push the buggy in filled with wrapped presents. All the parts work on this buggy, and there is a little hidden compartment in the bottom that is covered with a fold back cloth top for keeping valuables, diapers, etc. The wooden wheels are beautiful. This is in its original condition. It measures approximately: 45-1/2 in. high with the bonnet in ... morean upright position, the entire length is approximately 47-1/2 in. long with the bonnet down, and 46 in. with the bonnet up. The wicker body only withe the bonnet down is approximately 33-1/2 in. long. The Bonnet is 21-1/2 in wide. The wood wheels are 14-1/4 in. across. This is pick up only, though I do travel a little so possibly an arrangement can be made for delivery or to meet part way. I am selling this only because I have downsized and neither of my two children likes or wants this-they are not into antiques. This would look so gorgeous on a large porch with flowers in it, or as it was meant to be used for a baby. Please be aware that I do not accept returns. There is no reserve price on this. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Up for auction is an Antique Victorian Baby Carriage Buggy with Canopy. I believe the carriage is from the 1800's. It measures 54" long from the handle bar to the end of the front wheel. The width is 21" The height to the top of the carriage canopy is 45 1/2" The height when measured to the top of the baby basket is 32" The baby basket is 36" long& 16 1/2" wide. Two of the carriage wheels measure 22" the other two wheels measure 20" The hardware that holds the carriage canopy is made of bronze. The canopy is adjustable& removable. The lower portion of the wooden arms that connect to the handle bar have been reinforced. They both had cracks in the same area(please see photos) The carriage has minimal signs of wear& is in very good condition for it's age. Simply amazing Estate Sale find. It is wicker and canvas and wood and steel wheels. The condition is very very good. It is dirty and needs a good cleaning. It has clearly been in a barn for a long time. I am not going to clean it. I'll leave it to the new owners. There are a couple of flaws. One piece of wicker is broken but still present and the'handlebar' has been chewed on, on one end. The canvas top is solid and the folding mechanism works. I did buy it at an estate sale and it had an old faded hand written tag on it for $375. Antique WICKER BABY CARRIAGE BUGGY STROLLER Victorian c1880s Spoke Wheels Nice! ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WICKER BABY STROLLER This antique wicker stroller is show stopper and wonderful display piece. The wicker is in nice condition. The undercarriage is metal with wooden spoked wheels. It has an adjustable back which does work. The foot brake is present but seems to be rusty and does not want to work correctly. The front right wheel has had the rubber replaced. The front left wheel has some chinks out of the rubber. The wheels do turn and you can push the carriage if desired. The handle is a turned wood. The seat has been recovered and we are including the matching ruffled seat blanket. This was used by a family member to display an antique doll. Antique Covered Wicker Baby Carriage Buggy
Antique Wicker Baby Carriage. This full-size buggy has an adjustable canopy. There is no lining on the inside bottom. Wood handle& wood spoke wheels measuring 13 ¼” diameter. Hard rubber tires(well used) parking brake. The canopy slides forward. Both bars for that are there and they work but one is somewhat bent. It still rolls very smooth and easy. This would be nice if restored. I bought and used it for display only for antique dolls and baby quilts and clothes for the past 25 years. The buggy measures 34 ½ inches high from floor to handle without bonnet. The front wheels still have the rubber on them but the rubber is dried out and hard. The back wheels do not have the rubber on them. It appears the wicker was originally mint green. Most of that color is off. The carriage does not include the doll or blankets shown in pictures.

It has a steel frame with a wooden handle that has a lot of rust due to it's age. There is rubber on the steel rimmed wooden spoke wheels, the rubber has a lot of wear. The top of the carriage has 2 small round windows with lace covering. The inside of the carriage is very clean. There is a board on the bottom lined with cream colored linen with attached eyelet. A great restoration project in the making. The wheels have wooden spokes. A steel rim, and appear to be wrapped in a hard rubber. The spokes on three of the wheels are in tact and strong. One of the large wheels is missing a spoke, has a loose one, and has a loose one with a crack in the end of the wood. We can see the end of the spoke, the rim side on the loose one, has a pin in the top of the wood that appears to have been pinned through the rim. 11 1/2" diameter with the hub having a 1/2" diameter center hole. Hub is 2 3/8" in depth. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. Rubber on the tires is good with one having about a 3/16" separation between the rubber joint. Rims are steel. They're pretty nice. This circa 1870s doll stroller is in really good shape for the year it was made. The body is made of rattan wicker and wood. Wheels are made from Brentwood metal with steel rims.The canopy is made of canvas. Also the canopy opens and closes. From top of canopy to bottom of wheels measures 35' the basket measures 23' long, 15' wide, the handle to the back of the basket measures 40' long. This stroller has been one of the most favorite conversation pieces in my home for years due to the strange way it looks. Stroller is in great shape, no rips, tears, broken wicker. It has been taken care of very well. Cleaned only with warm cloth to remove dust, never cleaned with any chemicals. RARE ANTIQUE PULL BEHIND BABY BUGGIE/ CARRAGE/ STROLLER You are bidding on this rare& nicely restored antique pull behind baby buggie. I don't know much about who the maker is or when it was made but the owner said his wife had it restored around 12 years ago and it was quite old then. She used it for a display in their home but she has since passed so he wants it gone. I'm guessing it's from around the first quarter of the 1900's. All the upholstery is like new as well as the canopy. I'm throwing the baby in with this buggy. I'm posting several pictures so you can see the condition of it. Vintage Antique WICKER BABY Doll Toy Carriage Buggy Stroller WOOD Handle NICE!!
What a great find! We came across this fabulous early baby doll buggy with an ornate wooden handle. Sun shade canopy functions perfectly and flips from front to back easily. Wheels are intact and roll along as they should. The frame is metal. There is some paint wear on the handle- see pictures 8& 9. Let's talk about the wicker. Overall the wicker is in very good condition. There ARE spots where the wicker has torn.see pictures 6& 7. There are some loose ends also in the sun shade canopy.see last photo. Lastly it appears as if at some point in time a craftsman has made some mends as we notice a color differential in some parts of the buggy. Please review pictures carefully and let us know if you need more! In our opinion the wicker variances are minor and don't detract much at all from the overall presentation of this terrific ... morepiece. Measurements: Overall length is 26 1/2 inches-measured from handle to nose of carriage. Height is 22 inches from ground to handle. Bed(interior wooden lie down area) is 13" long.will fit dolls up to this length comfortably. The overall body integrity of this buggy is excellent! This is an example of a period carriage from the late 1800's or early 1900's. We can guarantee you this is an original manufacture for the time. 1956 or older stroller\walker. I talked to my antique guy and he told me the wooden balls behind the handle where last used in 1956 after that taylor tot started to use plastic balls and the stickers not visible. But other than that the stroller is in good shape.

So Charming.The Carriage is made from natural wicker with spindle wheels and dripping with ivory lacy frills. Ivory and pink ribbons, matching dried flowers and a hand made lace tatting doily. I'm not sure of it's actual age. But the relatives handling the Estate know that it has been present in the home for quite some time. The natural wicker is in fine condition. I see no sign of damage. The piece is more a prop than play wear. Though the wheels do indeed turn In two pieces. The top Cradle can be removed from the base and wheel section. The Baby Doll Carriage has been lavishly trimmed with lace applied in 3 ruffled layers and about the hood of the cradle. Accented with lavish bows. This auction is for a set of 4 antique baby buggy or baby carriage wheels. The tire diameter is 9 ½ inches with a width of 7/8 inch. The wheel diameter is 8 1/2 inches with a width measured at the axle hole of 2 inches. The 12 spoke wheels show some surface rust on the spokes and rims and will need a cleaning and repaint. The spokes measure.109 inch diameter and each was checked for breakage. The tires are treadles and show an occasional scar. There are no markings on the rubber to indicate brand.
