AT AUCTION: SUPER CUTE MID CENTURY TAYLOR TOT BABY STROLLER MAKER: Taylor Tot DESCRIPTION: Retro 1950s small child stroller& walker. It is baby blue and white. Super cute with original parts and not refurbished. Has super nice logo decal on seat and one on front end with has a little wear. The stroller measures- by. Has a collapsible handle for transporting and storage and a lower detachable tray so child can walk the stroller him/her self. There is a small tray in the front for snacks and has four colored wooden balls for child's play. The long collapsible hand has a wooden handle as does the front of the stroller. CONDITION: The stroller is in nice vintage condition. The pictures will be the best assessment to condition. There is some surface rusting but no destruction to the metal. the coloring is great. Only minor fading spot ... moreor two. The wood pieces on it are good as is the rubber bumper guards. Some areas need a better scrubbing. The logo on seat is very nice, the front one is a little worn. All pieces fit well together and the stroller pushes easily and turns smoothly. Vtg '50s Blue Wards Taylor Tot? Baby Stroller/Walker w/Art Deco Fenders
Estate find! Original with wear and surface rust(the tray seems to be the worst) Overall good condition. Wheels roll and in my opinon are in good shape. Needs restoring or display as is. Rubber bumpers seem to be in decent shape in my opinion. Handles and foot rest detach and will be shipped that way. Wood handles are in great shape and seem to be made of oak. I would imagine the seat is. Too, but can't say for sure. Wood beads are faded. Only a couple of screws are missing- easily replaced by your friendly, neighborhood hardware store employee. This has a parking brake. There is a lever located between the two rear wheels which activate rods that fit into holes on the inner rims of the rear wheels to lock movement. Pretty simple! Stylish. Art deco style fenders. Lovely baby blue color. Beads on tray kept the toddler entertained. Paint ... moreon wooden areas shows wear. Label on seat is barely legible but'WARDS' and'Walker' can be made out. This may have been made for Wards by Taylor Tot. It looks like the Taylor Tots I've seen but I cannot say that it is a Taylor Tot for sure. Measures(with handle attached) about 36" high x 40" long(from end of handle to front of stroller) x 19" wide. Please ask questions. The stroller is stamped under the seat 4-49 which I am sure is the date it was made. It is 65 years old. The stroller retains its original paint and decals. The front decal reads The genuine Taylor Tot. The seat decal reads Taylor Quality Ball Bearing Wheels And Shock Proof Construction. The seat decal has been protected by one of the rare accessories a padded seat cushion which is made of thin padded plastic and is in great condition. The stroller has the Art Deco pod wheel covers. Foot rest, handle, wheels& seat. The foot rest is removable so baby can use it as a walker instead of a stroller. Looks to be all original. WELCOME! I have up for sale this ORIGINAL. Completely restored, Taylor-Tot Stroller/ Walker. This one is a vintage 1930's-40's Deluxe model. With the FENDERS! Features included; wheel covers, play beads and food tray, spring suspension, wheel lock, and 1" pnumatic tires. This one has been totally professionally restored down to the new rubber on the bumpers and to the original decals! This Taylor-Tot was completely disassembled. All parts sanded clean, primed, and painted in original colors of romance blue and yellow ivory. Three coats of enamel were baked on, and clear coated. It was reassembled using all brand new hardware. The rubber on the bumpers was replaced with new and the wood handles polyurethaned. They even replaced the original decals! This was purchased at an estate sale in Sycamore Ks. It had been in a shed for who knows how long. It is in good operating condition. The bumper guard is still pliable has some rust due to age. This is a kit for a fendered vintage taylor tot stroller. It includes: the 2 rear fenders. The 2 rear wheels with holes for the brake rod, and the rear axle that contains the brake mechanism. The brake mechanism moves easily but it IS MISSING ONE OF THE RODS(still brakes with just one and another can be made for it) The parts have the typical surface rust that something with this age has and can be sand/media blasted easily. This wonderful Taylor Tot Stroller Walker is exactly as found. Stylish Art Deco design& function makes this an appealing baby stroller walker. The Taylor Tot was designed& constucted to last many years. It has dual use fuctionality. It is used as a stroller with a folding push handle. The handle folds down for convenient storage. The stroller can also convert to a baby walker. By easily removing the folding push handle& the floor pan. This stroller does show some wear, but it is very nice condition for its age. The tires& rubber guards on the bumpers are in great shape. There is a crack on the bumper behind the left front& left rear tire. By the fifties the handle had developed imaginatively, and was not only removable, but also formed a second seat, behind the first, which was useful for another toddler, or for a bag of groceries. Remove the handles and the floor pan, you have a"walker" that a youngster could push himself around in. Competing companies made versions of this stroller. But most were virtually identical to this one. All had the beads in front, painted or stained wood at first, later replaced by plastic) a metal play or snack tray, some sort of wire bumper in front, and usually in back, a wooden seat, and a removable stamped metal foot tray. These strollers, much more than the Folda-Rolas, were very often used, with handle and foot tray removed, inside homes as walkers. Vintage 1940's/1950's Blue Taylor Tot Baby Stroller/Walker Restoration Prodject
Up for consideration is a Vintage Original 1940's/1950's Blue and White Taylor Tot Child's Stroller/Walker. There are now markings so I am not sure that this is a"Taylor Tot" The ones that looks like mine are describing it this way It measures approx. 25" Long(from bumper to bumper) x 18 1/2" wide(across bumper in front) x 16" Tall(from ground to top of seat) It has all the typical wear from age and use as in. Dings, scratches, paint loss, cracks in wood, and rust. The fenders are missing. The rubber coating does have some ware(last 2 photos) The seat is made of wood and it has wooden beads across the front for the child's entertainment. I'm not an expert on these strollers so I'm not sure what other parts if any that its missing. All parts work the way they should. This is an AWESOME Genuine Taylor- Tot Stroller/ Walker. It has all the Pieces. And is in overall great shape for it's age. Perfect for restoration. It has the Retro Fenders over the tires that are in excellent shape, the brake mechanism works, and just needs a little TLC. The only issue is a little surface rust. It's a great piece.

This antique circa 1940s Taylor Tot toddler stroller was found at a local estate sale. In original estate condition. Is missing push handle and the front post name plate but definately a Taylor Tot. Great vintage home decore as is or great base for parts or full on resoration. All original right down to the wheels. This is an older model and has no lower tray. One bumper iron is missing one srcrew. Original finish to wood seat. Nice tan color with some paint missing. Original wood colored beads at rear of tray mounted to handle nice condition to tin body with no dents or corrosion. Original suspension. See all pctures.
