USA from the colors and the lithography. It measures approx. 9.5" long from end to end. It has white metal wheels and a wonderful red/yellow vintage diamond-checkered pattern with sweet lithography images of a baby. Cats, and dogs, as pictured. The handlebar has a red rubber/plastic grip. It looks like there was probably a canopy with this buggy at one time. But it is no longer in place. At some time in it's life, someone made a little mattress insert for it which is pictured and included. Measurements: 5" tall x 9.5" long. From our research: We could find no markings. But we believe this toy was most likely manufactured in the USA by All Metal Products Co. Wyandotte, Michigan, USA. sometime in the 1930's-1940's. Condition: Nice graphics! Very sweet vintage"played with" used condition. Especially considering its age! It shows agewear and playwear, including wear on metal tires, dings, spotting, litho wear, rust/darkened metal spots, scuffs, rubs, and surface scratches, as pictured. Still, overall, it's"flaws" make this piece interesting and it has its own wonderful antique charm and character, and would be a fun unique addition to any collection! We are not sure, but this buggy may have had a canopy bonnet attached at one time, but is missing on this piece. It is very old and vintage and came to us with lots of the Dy Dee items we are and will be posting. This adorable set does show wear from age but we think as you can see it still presents very well. The binding shows some age wear but still intact with minor area starting to pull away and will need re-tacking(think the pictures show it well) There are some thin areas and a few small holes that we noted in the blanket and we tried to picture so you are not expecting a blanket free from holes and mint. They are there but not easily seen when being used. Unless pointed out or holding up to the light, however they are there and to us not that noticeable because of the material used; looks factory to us but you knowledgeable collectors would know for sure. We think the condition is very good and especially considering its rarity(so we were told) and age. It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Vintage 1920s Beige Wicker Baby/Doll Carriage/Buggy/Stroller/Pram
This charming Buggy is unique because of the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the wicker. Iron wheels, pretty cotton lining and even a little hubcap. This carriage is 26" tall to the top of the hood. The carriage is 19" long, 32" long total. The wheels are 7 1/2 inches diameter and have a'G' on them. There is some damage to the top hood and the plastic windows are cracked. The grip of the handlebars is wrapped in tape but it almost appears to be made this way. I have several Carriages and can show you all of them and will accept the lower price for the larger purchase. This is local pick up from Orange County. California. Has original paint and pinstripes. The body and wheels are good. The wheels are wooden with metal rings. The top is in good condition with fringe. Does have a small tear. 1920s vintage baby carriage pram with swastika wheels!
Greetings. This auction is for a vintage 1920’s baby pram/ carriage. This is an old family relic that was brought over from Italy. The most unique thing about this item is that it has swastika(yes. The Nazi symbols) on all the hubcaps. I’ve been told that this has nothing to do with Nazis and used to mean“good luck” on 1920’s Italy, but it still makes this piece very unique. Solid iron bars and handle with a wooden base. The base is black with blue and gray accents. The inside is still intact bit the fabric padding has become detached from the wooden base. It has some rust. The carriage has some damage(mostly scratched paint) but still would be perfect for a collector or refurbished. Height– not including the handle- 22 inches Length- 28 inches Width- 12 inches And it does have swastika hubcaps. We are located in Los Angeles CA.
