High end antique collector that fell in love with items from the 1800's and this was one of her prize poscessions. Would be perfect to display an antique baby doll in! Inside seat measures 9 inches across and 8 inches deep. Has a layer of black. Worn leather lined. Wicker measures about 13 inches across from side to side top and about 11 inches deep. 13 inches tall from the floor to the center back of the wicker top. Wheels are about 8 inches round with the little back wheels to help prevent tipping are 1.5 inches round Pull handle extends about 22 inches long when it is placed to be straight. Fold back into the seat at about 16 inches for the baby to hold. I cannot find any types of"maker markings" No chips with some edge rubbings here and there. Wicker shows some pull with a few strips popped out a bit. Little pillow seat included. Not sure if it is an original but it sure matches the style with little tastles along the bottom in an off white, cream color showing a few age spots. This darling items deserves a loving home! The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. For as long as I can remember this very interesting doll, sat in this buggy. These are pieces from my late Grandmother's doll collection. I have decided to not seperate them, they are sold as a pair. It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. ANTIQUE LLOYD WICKER CAR SEAT BABY CARRY DOLL BUGGY CARRIAGE
This is an antique child/baby seat made by Lloyds Loom Co. I anticipate it to be turn of the century and used to transport babies in wagons or the new-fangled automobiles. It is about 28" long. It has an adjustable handle on the back to adjust the front valence. Canopy also adjusts with wing nuts. Wicker is in excellent condition- one wear spot on the canopy and a few slightly frayed ends. Some rust in the steel base and one wood cross member appears to have been replaced. It has a leather strap with"Lloyd" tooled in the middle. The end snap pulled through so I glued it with some VLP cement. I will ship in as small of box as I can which will mean taking off the canopy so some assembly will be required. Antique victorian baby carriage originally. Now I would use it for large dolls. The name of the carriage is the"Kensington" Pat'd. July 5th. 1875. It was made by S.Charles Bros. 11-10 B'way. N.Y. It measures 37 1/2" long, including the handle it measures 51" long. It is 24 1/2" wide, and 35" tall. The body is wicker. The bottom is wood. The wheels are wood with metal bands around the edges. The four center caps of the wheels are brass. The handle is wood with brass finial ends. There is a wood plaque on each end of the carriage to attach an umbrella on either top or bottom. An oval plaque with the name of the carriage is mounted on either end. There are two metal rings on each side of the wicker edge to hold a cover or blanket with clips. Vintage Antique Iron Wicker Rabbit Bunny Baby Doll Stroller Carriage RARE $750
ANTIQUE/ VINTAGE BUNNY RABBIT BABY DOLL BUGGIE SO UNIQUE AND QUITE RARE! The wheels are iron as are the bars that go up to the wood handle. The body of the buggie is hard wicker and wood. The body of the bunny head is very heavy and I believe to be carved wood. The material inside the buggie must be cotton. But it has a stiffer feel. The fabric has some light staining, but there are no tears or holes. The lace is all in one piece with no rips or tears. Measures 24" long from the tip of the nose to the handle. Measures 21 1/2" high from the floor to the top of the handle. The body of the buggie measures 9" wide. The wood handle measures 9" wide. A very nice woman recently reached out to me with this information about the carriage. She said that she found an article about the carriage in Country Living on collecting and ... morethey said the carriage was made from various parts at different times. The wheels late 19th century. And the head first part of 20th century. The wire and wooden handle and the oval straw basket were made in late 20th century. Even though it may be a marriage of different parts, it is eye catching and has appeal to collectors with a value of $750.00. Even though this carriage is very old. The headrest rises up and down. Vintage 6.5" Boyds Bears & 12" Wicker Wood Pram Baby Doll Stroller Carriage Set
I am listing some items from my aunts estate. I have very little knowledge of them so I will do the best I can with photos and descriptions. Most of the items were stored and have very little or no signs of wear. They come from a smoke free home. I removed this set from the packaging box to take the photos that I needed to take for this auction. From what I can tell this is a vintage pram doll stroller made of wood and iron. It looks like it had once had beading and satin added. The wood on the doll carriage has no cracks. Handle is firm. There is no names on either bear or carriage. Carriage wooden and wicker with rolling wheels. It is 12" high x 11" long. The posable Bear is 6.5" long. Looks like a Boyds Bears. But there is no clothing or tags, so I can't guarantee. Vintage 1950's South Bend Toy Company Baby Doll Carriage/Stroller. Has an inner vinyl covered liner that matches lid. There is a large 5" crack at the back and a smaller crack on the front as well as an approx. 1"x1" missing piece on the front edge. Handle shows some rust and the metal is dull. 4 NEW REPLACEMENT WHEELS ANTIQUE DOLL BABY CARRIAGE STROLLER BUGGY AQUA
These 4 brand new replacement wheels(for either doll or baby buggy/stroller/carriage) these were in the original box that they were mailed in when I got them but the box was completely falling apart so I do not have it- I would guess these to be over 50 years old because the former owner's only daughter is over 60 years old. The name'Chris Kaye Madison. Ill. 4751' is on the wheels. They are rubber and plastic but heavy thick plastic, they feel like metal but a magnet will not stick to them. The greenish part is exactly 3 1/4" across and with the rubber, they are a little over 4 1/4" They are very pretty with no scratches. Package will be a little over 2 pounds. Antique Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage w/ Parasol. Pram Style Buggy. Early 1890 This baby carriage is from the Victorian period and in nice working condition. A wonderful display for photography. Displaying a doll collection. Or pushing your little angel around town. Update: I had a local seamstress sew a beautiful new cover for the parasol with lace. See new photos. And I will include the old pattern with the carriage. But this really made a wonderful addition to this carriage. The material is free floating and not sewn into the umbrella. And this could be done for a tighter fit. But this way the material is not under stress for display. The material looks to all be original and complete with both sides. Bottom and back. The buggy measures 35" inches tall without the adjustable& folding parasol. The length with the footrest to the ... morehandle is 42" inches long and the width is widest part of the back wheels which measures 22 1/4" inches wide. The footrest is free and adjustable back support allows for the seat to lay down for a bed. The carriage rolls freely and easily and is a black steel frame. And the carriage has a foot brake that holds firm. The frame of the parasol is complete without any damage and a unique folding design. A true survivor and a beautiful piece of American history and one sure to get all the right attention. Condition is great with just two minor repairs besides the parasol cover and lace with will need repairing or replacing. The reattaching the wicker side foot panel(or leave it off) And there is a little bow to the one foot rest sides from the side panel being off. The material on the parasol is new(see update above) So the only damage is on the wicker footrest where one of the sides have come off and these two pieces are included in the sale for reattaching. It appears the wicker was painted or maybe this is the original paint. Not sure, it all looks untouched as the paint is concerned. Beautiful. This is a very old victorian stick and ball carriage C 1890. It has muted colors of red. White, and blue. This carriage is frail and has chipping paint and some wood splitting on front wheels. This carriage displays beautifully but shouldn't be handled much. This is perfect for antique doll collectors or antique stores. Considering her age she is still just beautiful. Measures 26"H x 9"W. Offered for your consideration is an antique doll carriage. Circa late 1800's- early 1900's. The Victorian baby doll pram has a semi-circular shaped wooden box. Folding canopy, wood handle, iron metal framing and spoke wheels. Measurements(approx. 26 inches tall from floor to top of opened canopy hood 21½ inches tall from floor to top of collapsed canopy hood 24 inches tall from floor to top of wooden handle 10" wide x 20" long x 6" deep(interior) x 10" deep(exterior/center) wooden box Overall length including handle- 28 inches Four 7½" diameter wheels including original hard rubber tread 8 metal spokes on each side of wheel- total 16 spokes/wheel I had the toy baby doll carriage professionally refurbished ~30 years ago. The exact shade of blue was used to match the original color of the wooden body. ... moreThe iron frame was painted ivory and the wooden handle was painted black. Gold accents on the hubcaps were also painted to restore to the original turn-of-the century look. The canopy sun cover was replaced with a fabric-lined leatherette material. Nuts. Bolts and screws were also replaced. The buggy wood structure. Metal frame and spoke wheels are all in very good condition. The hinges on the hood work as they should and open and close with ease. The tires are not flat and the wheels turn smoothly so pushing the doll carriage is effortless. Unmarked. The carriage will be disassembled for shipping. The 100+ year old carriage is not meant for a baby to be placed in; it is to be used only for a toy doll. It's a fabulous way for a collector to display a prized doll! Vtg Child's Baby Doll Buggy Stroller Convertible, Folding, Mid Century Carriage
Welsh Easy Tow Vintage baby doll stroller from the late 40's. Early 50's. The primary color is grey with white seams. There is a dark green stripe. Some wrinkles and dust from storage but has aged very well. The buggy is easy to set upright and collapse to folding position. The hood moves easily into position. The cover has a snap that is no longer attached to the material. It would need to be repaired to use this cover(snap is present) All other parts work the way they should. Buggy shows age& wear. Antique Wicker Baby / Doll Carriage / Buggy Hey wood Wakefield wicker
I believe this is a Heywood Wakefield wicker baby carriage. There are no tags.The wicker. is in great condition and all the mechanical pieces work good brakes, bed recliner, etc. There is a neat hidden compartment under the mattress on the inside of the carriage and the sliding door on it looks to be original as well. The handle is wooden and the wheels are all in tact and move freely there is no rush sorry to say it's missing the hood but otherwise everything is in great working condition nice condition for it's age.
