I couldnt believe that something this old could have been kep in such beautiful condition all these years. It looks as though it was lovingly covered and stored for over 50 years. Even the shade cover I discovered in thhe front compartment appears to have never been used! The original chrome'fenders' are shiny and bright! This easily converts from a buggies to a stroller. The label reads Europe Import Co. Detroit. My asking price reflects the fine original condition but of course I'm always open to a good offer so don't be shy! I would equate this buggie to a low milage garaged 50's automoblie discovered after years of hibernation. It measures roughly 35"L x 34"T x 19" W. This is not a doll stroller. This is meant for a baby and could be brought back into service for a special mother that appreciates a classic vintage style! Wouldnt this be a hit at a baby shower filled with presents? Payment. With the sides of the buggy slightly tacky and worn from storage and age. It has been kept in a mostly climate controlled attic for years. The chrome has some slight finish wear, as well as the interior mattress and pocket organizer have some dirt marks and wear. You are bidding on an AWESOME estate find in this antique wicker baby carriage. Full size.not for dolls) As you can see in the pictures. It converts to a stroller, both flat and with head elevated and dropped footrest. Although not without some flaws. It is in amazing condition for its age! I find no broken wicker. The wheels and fenders give it a real"Cadillac Elegance" look. The wheels are 7 1/2" diameter and have the original Westland rubber tires. The wheels HAVE been painted on the outside surface, but this is the only"restoration" I find. The wooden surfaces had all been originally painted yellow, and this paint is flakiing off.A LOT! The steel handle easily disconnects from the buggy for storage. And is rubber-coated across the top. The hood also easily disconnects. The steel undercarriage is also painted yelllow. ... moreAnd also flaking off. Two wheels have the original leather strap connection, one has NO connection, and the other is held together with twine. The worst flaw I find is that there is a wooden support bar across the hood. And this is broken. It lies between the wicker and the plastic lining, so to repair it would require removing the lining. You can't see it, and it does not alter the look of the buggy except for where the lining is drooping somewhat in that area where it was attched to the bar. The steel hub caps and fenders have suffered some corrosion over the years. Some places worse than others. As can be seen in the 10th picture. There is an expandable pouch at the foot of the buggy for storage(diapers, bottles, etc. The rest of the pictures show the underside. This comes with the original straw-filled mattress. And original ticking, although I doubt you would want to use it for a baby! One side is in fine shape. The other side has a hole in the tickiing, and also shows staining. Authentic Antique Heywood-Wakefield Wicker Rattan Baby Carriage/Buggy- A WOW'ER!
H-W(Heywood-Wakefield) Wicker Baby Buggy with fully functional features! For your consideration. A beautiful& authentic Heywood-Wakefield wicker rattan baby carriage buggy. The buggy is in very good shape- being all original materials. Wicker body, metal framing, wood handle and spokes. The carriage has many notable features that are all in great working order: A thick wooden push handle with original paint A metal brake activation lever on the right side just below the push handle. This lever locks in the braking position when pushed all the way down- probably one of the first to have this feature. A metal lever on the left side. Towards the back and bottom of the wicker body, that controls the position of the foot end of the buggy. This lever locks into 2 positions- as can be seen in the photos. The back rest can be locked into 3 different ... morepositions with a spring loaded pull metal knob on the top of the back rest. The top canopy that provides the baby shade/blocking the light can be adjusted back and forth along 2 metal runners and can be position up or down on a pivot that has large wing nuts to tighten to secure. The mechanics for these adjustment are on the back of the top sides of the main body. Wooden spoked wheels with hub caps that had or have"H-W" painted on them- most of this has worn away but one is in pretty good and readable condition. All 4 wheels can easily be removed and be re-inserted by using a spring loaded button on the axle by each wheel. A pretty cool feature. Rubber wheels- the rubber was cracking in many places but was complete on all wheels- to help secure and protect the original rubber I filled the cracks and uneven places with black silicone. The silicone could be easily removed if so desired. The Heywood Bros. was one of the first companies in the mid-1870's to make baby carriages from rattan and reed. In 1883. Vintage Green & White Flowers Baby Doll Carriage Buggy Stroller Plastic
This is a vintage plastic baby doll carriage(probably from the 1960s or'70s) I couldn't find a manufacturer on the product. It's green with white flowers and a vinyl canopy that folds down. The handle and frame are chrome. I believe, and there's a spring underneath the carriage that holds it in place. There are some scrapes from use, and the plastic that held one of the wheels in place(at the back of the wheel) has been replaced with a piece of duct tape, so that wheel(back right) is a bit wobbly. One of the two holes by which the carriage attaches to the frame is torn at the bottom. But still holds the carriage in place(see fourth photo) Note:The spot in the photo is dirt, which I've since wiped away. The mattress pad is not included. Mass in Commemoration of Sixty-Five Years of Continuous Production. There is a photo of this carriage as a"recent" model in the book, which would date it to c.1920. The carriage comes with a fabric doll as described below. Scroll down to see more photos of the doll and carriage. The carriage comes from the attic of a historic home and the doll was with it. So we are including it with the carriage. Condition: Carriage is in amazing condition for its age! See photos. Very Difficult to find one. Let alone one that does not have layers of spray paint on it! We've included tons of photos and lots of detail so please look carefully. The doll must have been loved more than the Velveteen Rabbit, as she is hug-worn and the fabric, has some signs of hand-stitched mending, considerable wear at some of the seams, a cut on one arm, and at the back of her head the fabric is split. The woman I purchased this from was a doll collector. It was in her family for nearly 100 years and she used it as a display piece for her dolls. Vintage Hedstrom Baby Stroller Buggy Carriage with fold down leg room AWESOME
This Hedstrom Buggy Carriage is totally awesome. The material is in good condition. But shows signs of wear. I have no idea what year this is, as the original sticker is partially missing. It has a leaf spring suspension style and rolls really nicely. The handle seems to be slightly adjustable. In the photos you'll notice that the head part props up a little, for the baby to sit up(4th photo) and also has storage underneath(last photo) It has a cover so the whole top is covered and on the end the leg room extends. This buggy is really neat and for it's age, I believe in really great condition. Here are some measurements: 33" long without handle included. Handle is 11" long, 31" tall without top up, with top add 14" more. The wheels are 11" in diameter. Measuring 44" long, 36" high and 18" wide, condition is excellent considering the age, with normal age patina on the metal, and typical aging of the rubber on the wheels. The wicker appears to be in remarkably wonderful shape with no holes or other visible issues. There are remnants of a sticker on the bottom which may have identified the manufacturer; however nothing really remains of any use in identifying the maker. Please e-mail any questions. This wicker stroller is awesome! It's got loads of charm! This wicker part of the stroller measures 19" x 9" As a whole it's 27" tall and 25" from end to end. It's fully functioning and great for dolls. Pets, babies or for a prop. It's in excellent condition given it's age. I'm guessing it was made in the 1930s. Local pick up is preferable on this piece. But I will assist in shipping if you'd like to make arrangements. There is a Grayhound station in town and that's often the cheapest way to transport items of this relative size. The stroller is located in Eau Claire, WI approximately 90 miles east of Minneapolis, MN on I-94.

It steps outside of what I nomally purchase but I was so impressed with the fine original condition that i just had to buy it. I couldnt believe that something this old could have been kep in such beautiful condition all these years. It looks as though it was lovingly covered and stored for over 50 years. Even the shade cover I discovered in thhe front compartment appears to have never been used! The original chrome'fenders' are shiny and bright! This easily converts from a buggies to a stroller. ANTIQUE LLOYD WICKER CAR SEAT BABY CARRY DOLL BUGGY CARRIAGE
This is an antique child/baby seat made by Lloyds Loom Co. I anticipate it to be turn of the century and used to transport babies in wagons or the new-fangled automobiles. It is about 28" long. It has an adjustable handle on the back to adjust the front valence. Canopy also adjusts with wing nuts. Wicker is in excellent condition- one wear spot on the canopy and a few slightly frayed ends. Some rust in the steel base and one wood cross member appears to have been replaced. It has a leather strap with"Lloyd" tooled in the middle. The end snap pulled through so I glued it with some VLP cement. I will ship in as small of box as I can which will mean taking off the canopy so some assembly will be required. In the Joel Ellis style, circa 1870s. It measures 33" from the handle to the front wheels, 23 1/2" from the handle down and 30" from the top of the metal hook down. The carriage is wood with a scalloped edge, looks like original paint, the wheels are also wood. There is a curved metal support under the carriage, a portion of one bracket is missing. The metal piece in front of the handle may have held some type of cover that is gone now. The wheels wobble and are intact. The interior of the carriage is partially lined with antique wallpaper. Antique baby carriage buggy 1800's wood metal leather PRAM parasol cover Large
Very Nice 1800's baby carriage that has been restored. It is in excellent condition having been stored for last 10 years and not display. While this is not our expertise we will answer any questions. This is baby or small child size not a doll size. It is fairly large measuring approx 45" to top of parasol approx 50" long from handle to front. 24" wide at wheels. Parasol measures 21"x16" Front wheels approx 20" diameter. Rear wheels approx 24" diameter. The previous owners spent $1,200 restoring it to display in their home. It is upholstered in what appears to be leather. The frame is metal and the handle is turned wood. The wheels are wood. There are 2 screws missing that we have noticed, one that holds the head rest detail at one end(the other end connects to parasol upright) and one screw where the ... morepush handle joins the back of the carriage seat(it is one of 4) doesn't affect performance. Easy fixes obviously, just pointing out what we observed. The canopy or parasol leans slightly to the left when viewed from rear(not a big deal and the head rest screw may fix the lean) Black sides and rear covers were made in 3 pieces and snap on at top and bottom and have a strap that allow them to be unsnapped at the bottom and rolled up and tied at the top. The rear panel has small window. Having been restored I know for the purist it is not in original condition but it was professionally done. The wheels and frame have gold detail on black that is very striking. It is in display ready condition. While this is available for local pick up we will assist in shipping or freight any way possible. Note FREE shipping is to the contiguous 48 states and assumes basic dis-assembly taking the wheels.
