It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. It is in as-found condition and could use a bit of restoration or you could leave it just as is and it would make a wonderful display stroller for old bisque dolls or old teddy bears. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. We found this piece at an old farmhouse. And it's in"farm fresh" condition and would look great as a decor piece. This piece was made in the late 1800's or very early 1900's by the Gendron Wheel Company in Toledo, Ohio. The buggy has a solid iron frame that is in good shape, a lined wicker basket with an adjustable cover and iron wheels with hard rubber tires. There is one panel on the end that lays down flat so you can get the baby in and out easily or lay them down flat to change a diaper. This is a great antique piece that would be a fun restoration ... moreproject and would make a great"rustic" decor piece as it sits now! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. We picked this out of an old farmhouse and it's in"farm fresh" condition. So it is definitely not pristine. The iron frame has some pitting and oxidation throughout. Antique Wicker Baby Carriage; Hedstrom Union 1920s
Up for auction is a lovely wicker doll carriage manufactured by the Hedstrom Union Co. This"doll buggy" belonged to my mother when she was a little girl; she was born in 1921 so my guess is that this dates to about 1925"ish" The Hedstrom company joined with Union in 1922 so that makes sense. It's in great condition. I remember it just lived in the attic when I was a little girl and that's kind of where it has been for 80+ years! The wicker is in very nice condition. The rubber on the wheels is very hard. Understandably, but no huge chunks missing. The metal framework shows age in terms of paint condition, but no broken spokes or bent frame. The top pivots back and forth and there are small"windows" on each side. Neither of my daughters is interested in keeping this and I'm trying to downsize so I'm ... moreready to let it go. I thought about using it as a planter outside, but it would just get ruined. Perhaps the right person can use it for a display or a prop. ANTIQUE(1920-30s) HEDSTROM UNION CO. WICKER BABY CARRIAGE W/ WINDOWS This item is a wonderful early baby carriage. Made by Hedstrom Union Company. Research suggests that it is from the early 1900s. The company was formed(see info. below) in 1915, and merged with the Union Company in 1922. It still has a partial label on the bottom of the seat, as well as a decal on the frame. It will make a great display piece, as is, or an excellent restoration project. The carriage is a Cadillac of the times.It has a wicker basket, with two windows, and also features levered brakes, seat and foot adjusters, spring"shocks" adjustable cover, and lined inside. There is no mattress or cushion. The label on the seat bottom is partially torn. But Hedstrom can be clearly seen, along with the number 211, which could be a model. The decal on the frame ... moreis complete and reads- Hedstrom Union Co. Garner Mass USA. The carriage measures 23" wide x 40" long x 39" tall. And weighs approximately 35 lbs. Antique Gendron Toledo Ohio Large Wicker Baby Carriage 56" Long x 40.5" Tall
This is an Antique"Gendron" of Toledo Ohio. A very Large Wicker Baby Carriage. It measures 56" Long x 40.5" Tall x 20.5" wide at the wheels. The basket area measures 22" x 45" x 20" It is in amazing condition considering the age. There are a few wicker issues, at one side, near the top in a spot(see pic) and the upright supports that attach to the wood base are separate in areas(see pic) The original rubber on the wheels has rotted away and a rubber replacement was added at some point in the past and electrical tape was used to hold it on(see pic) This comes from an old old estate, a 90 year old gentleman who had a photography studio. A Pair of antique wicker baby/doll carriages. They have wooden spooks. Metal frame, handle, brake on the larger one. Dark brown/natural wicker with nice detail with green accent. The large one is unique in that it rotates or is reversible! See pictures. These are really great shape considering their age. There are some minor issues: a tear in the cloth on the inside of the large one and the windows are cracked in the small one. In my research I would say they are Heywood Wakefield. But there are no marking on them to indicate where they were manufactured. Please look at pictures to see details and how very nice they really are! I got them at an estate sale outside of Philadelphia.

I believe it was recover just before I purchased at an antique shop. This is the real deal. Wood and metal wheels and Iron curled shock system. I was told it was originally made for twins. The cover is reversible from side to side with the original securing fasteners. Sadly. I no longer have the room for this item. The new owner can keep the dated cover and bedding(vintage embroidery) or have it restored to pristine condition. There are a few stains on the cover that show its age, but it is a wonderful piece! The wicker weave has loosened up a bit and may need to be re-attached at edges, rubber wheels have a few cracks, the curved area where the child's feet rest is coming loose, you can see the nails up above where it was attached to, and may need to be re-attached. I will be removing the handle for shipping and my husband said that the bolts will probably break when I remove them, so be aware that those 4 bolts may not be original, I don't know yet. The wheels and frame is made of metal; the handle is wood; the carriage is stained wicker; the bedding is blue flowered cotton fabric over soft stuffing; the hood is metal with heavy black fabric. The cover can fold and unfold; the wheels can move round and round. It is very sturdy. But a bit dusty. It came from an estate sale. I don't see any problems with the wicker. The bedding is not removable. It is a bit heavy and even though a small doll could take a ride in this carriage or buggy, I think it is more of a display item. This buggy is in very good condition. I can find absolutely no damage to the wicker whatsoever. The hardware is in great condition too as well as the turned wooden handle. The umbrella is in good condition and tilts as is supposed to. I tried to open it fully and it collapsed. Was afraid to try again. It rolls very nicely. 1917. American furniture company working in a closely woven wicker created this carriage. With a wooden"S" raised handle from the frame. This darling features a window on either side where the baby slept. It's tiny by today's standards, or from the baby prams just 40 years later. In England this would have been called a'perambulator. That's history for today. I created the cushion and little pillow. To go with the original color of the exterior. Unknown if these were lined, or their were bumpers like we use today. It makes a most interesting magazine rack, cushion holder, or towel keeper. Just years ago an item like this retailed for $900, due to their rarity and condition. Add nostalgia to your decorating. It has some surface rust which is removed by using steel wool on the frame. There is some damage to the rubber on the left front wheel and the carriage needs a good cleaning inside and outside. Hi. This is an all original(Not restored) Heywood Baby Carriage from the 1800's. It is Wicker with its original canvas convertible top. IT IS VERY VERY RARE WITH THE CANVAS TOP It has its original mattress and pin striping on the wheels along with the original tires etc. very nice condition-Heywood Company started in the 1820's and merged with the Wakefield company in the 1890's. This was made prior to the merger and is only marked Heywood Co. It has an adjustable position top and the baby position is also able to be set in 3 positions. Great Buggy. What a pleasure it is to offer this authentic Baby Doll Stroller with it's original factory stamped number(F418) all original paint and the original SOUTH BEND TOY COMPANY sticker still intact. There is a canopy but it looks too large for this stroller. But it is an original stroller canopy with all the original period hardware. Unless the wood has swelled out it's not for this stroller but comes with it in this auction just in case! Appears to be original paint. 65% of original factory sticker still there. Wicker has come unravelled. The length is there to be re-rushed. the wheels will need a little work, But they are all there and attached with the original caps.

DARLING ANTIQUE WICKER TOY BABY BUGGY DOLL CARRIAGE WITH METAL FRAME NICE SIZE This cute antique wicker toy baby doll carriage is a perfect size to display with antique baby dolls. It is very old and in good shape. The carriage has a metal frame and wheels; wicker basket and hood. The handle is wooden. It measures 21" tall at the handle. And is approximately 22" from the handle to the front of the buggy. The basket is 16" long and 8" wide. The hood is 7" tall, 8" wide. The basket is wicker on the sides with a thin wood floor and back. It has a metal edge around the top. The wicker hood has a metal frame around it. The carriage is quite well made and unmarked. It is in nice condition with no cracks or breaks in the wicker. Most of the paint is gone on the metal parts, but it is not rusty. The metal wheels have ... morehard rubber tires. Steel frame, steel and rubber wheels. End lays down and goes up as it should. In the day, no doubt a deluxe model, even has lacing under the padding. Am listing this item for the Owner of the Antique Center. It measures approx. 36 1/2" tall by 43 1/2" long by 22" wide. The seat is 13" by 14" wide. The back of the seat is 15 1/4" high by 12" wide. The neat thing is that although the fabric has been nicely redone. It comes with a box where the original fabric, for both the carriage and the parasol, was stored in, to leave no doubt of its age. This item will be hard to pack and ship. So it will definitely have to be either picked up at Mount Vernon Antique Center here in Alexandria, or it will have to go via freight, we recommend TSC Moving, but keep in mind they can take from 2-8 weeks to deliver, depending on location and driver's schedule. Up for auction is this wonderful antique Victorian wicker baby doll carriage. It measures about 25" long by 24" tall and is 12" wide. It is in pretty good condition for it's age and would display beautifully! The celluloid window is missing and the rubber on one wheel is worn but the wicker is intact.
