Listed is this lovely antique wicker Baby Doll Carriage made by Lloyd Loom Products of Menominee. Michigan in 1925. This is the same Carriage seen featured in the 1925 edition of the November Ladies' Home Journal. This carriage is all original in lightly played-with condition and everything works WELL. Paint is missing from the wooden handle. One of the locking eyelets on the drop down back appears to have been repaired-by-Dad with a different sized eyelet, and the fabric has many small marks/stains, but no smells or signs of repair. ... moreThe wrought iron metal armature is in near mint condition, the foot brake works and locks into position strongly, and the hardware holding the Wicker Bonnet is firm and snug, allowing you to adjust the Bonnet to multiple positions. Mid to late 1800's baby doll buggy. Carriage. This is in strikingly great condition. Wheels turn easily. There are no defects in the wood. The metal, the or the canvas. The top and inside canvas is in great condition. Of course the canvas is stiff. The hinges work but we did not open it all the way for fear of harming the canvas. We have not attempted any efforts to restore this buggy. It is dusted and wiped with a micro fiber cloth. We leave the restoring to the pros. There is a canopy but it looks too large for this stroller. But it is an original stroller canopy with all the original period hardware. Unless the wood has swelled out it's not for this stroller but comes with it in this auction just in case! Appears to be original paint. 65% of original factory sticker still there. This special wicker doll buggy is a work of art and carted many"baby dolls" around my farm in northern Minnesota when I was a child. The four wheels are metal with tiny rubber tires and the frame is metal with a woven wicker hood and deep body. There are red. White and blue designs on each side of the body. The hood/canopy has some tears due to the age of the item(see photos) The back of the canopy has a lovely oval window and the back flap rolls up with ties(see photos) Wood body is painted a light green color and has stenciled design 12 inch 8 spoke wooden wheels on the back and 8 1/2 inch 6 spoke wooden wheels on the front. Antique Black Wicker Baby Doll Stroller Carriage Buggy. Steel Wheels& Frame Stroller measures approximately 35"H x 15"W x 32"L. It is tagged Travers Manufacturing Co. The stroller is made of wicker with a metal frame. Wheels and attachments. There is some general wear from use. The wicker is in good shape and the metal shows no signs of having been bent. The cloth is discolored from age and has pulled from the wicker in a couple of places. The brakes lock good and work as they should(see pic) There is a matching cushion for the base that I have not pictured. But is included. I do not have it with me at this time. Antique 1940's-50's Bilt Rite Baby Carriage Buggy Stroller in Brown. Bilt Rite was once the top of the line company for the production of baby buggies. Non-restored. These buggies can run about $450 and restored, upwards $950-$1000. As far as I can tell this one has not been restored but everything is in working order. Features spring suspension, adjustable canopy, and working brakes. Inside measures 31 inches long by 14 inches wide with a 7 inch depth to mattress top. Outside measure 48 inches long by 48 inches tall. Wheels are 12 inches in diameter. Condition is quite good for its age. This item is from an old 3 generation farm estate sale. See photos item is as shown. There is some rust, wheels have minor cracks, and there is some rust on the metal under frame. The hood on the buggy folds down and the handle can fold up over the ... moretop lowering the bed down to rest right on top of the wheels. But it can not be folded up any more than that. The bed itself can be removed from the wheel frame by removing the springs. I will ship it. This is from an estate sale and has NOT been restored and is in the original condition which is as near mint as you can get. The only things I see is the color has faded with time and I think was a Peach Pink color and there is some age wear on the metal fixture items like screws. Etc. The hood slides forward and back with Port Hole windows on both sides with a plastic type pane intact, rubber on metal wheels is intact, all hub caps on wheels are intact. No cracks or breaks in the wicker. The push bar handle is wood painted black on the metal uprights. Antique LLOYD Wicker Baby / Doll Carriage / Buggy ~ Very Unique Rare Adjustable
Antique Wicker Baby or Doll Carriage This antique carriage had belonged to my grandmother. I'm not sure if it was hers when she was little or if she had purchased it but she used it to display a large doll. This unique carriage is made of wicker. Metal and leather. It says Lloyd on both of the front hubcaps. The canopy, the back part of the seat and the foot rest are all adjustable. The canopy is hinged and can be positioned either up or down. there are two metal keys on each side that loosen& tighten the canopy) The back of the seat has 4 or 5 different settings- the baby can sit up or lay down. The foot rest can be lowered if the child is sitting and can be raised if the child is laying down so that his/her feet are level. It measures approx. 29" tall(to the top of the canopy/ hood) and approx. 52" from end to end(from ... morethe end of the canopy to the end of the handle) and is approx. 20 1/2" wide(including the metal locks on each side) The handle measures approx. 26" long. The seat measures approx. 10 1/2" wide x 9" deep. The front wheels are approx. 10 1/2" in diameter. The rear wheels are approx. 2 1/2" in diameter. It is in good condition for its age. There is a lighter discolored spot near the top of the canopy. There are some nicks along the edge of the wicker trim, the cloth on the underside of the canopy has some stains and a couple of tears in the fabric, the wheels squeak when rolled, there is a little bit of light rust in spots and it is a little dusty. It is approx. 28" tall by 28" long by 13" wide from spoke to spoke. Hand painted designs including ... moreworn but still visible designs on both sides& even a baby angel or cherub or putti? They all have wear but as you can see all original. Sewn in& probably original pillow for seating& the black material matches the top. Only a few slivers of the original fringe remain on the hood. This is a very special one. Bought at probably a high end doll store originally. Only the wealthiest families could afford such a luxury item. I have put it behind my antique German riding horse for many many years but the new house just has no wall space, just open concept& wall to wall, ceiling to floor windows(don't get me wrong, I LOVE this new home! so sadly I have to list all 3 of these items(separately) here is the other catch. Rubber and hubcaps are still on all of the wheels. It does have some surface rust as expected. One of the plastic windows has cracked and is broken out. This would make a great decorator piece. THE FRAME IS BLACK METAL. THE TOP FOLDS AND IS ADORNED WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK POMPOMS. THE WOOD BACK RECLINES PART WAY. THERE IS A PADDED, SAFETY STRAP. THE STROLLER MEASURES 30" LONG, 31" TALL AND 13" WIDE. THIS BEAUTIFUL DOLL STROLLER IS IN VERY EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE ARE NO TEARS OR RIPS IN THE PLASTIC. ALL OF THE POMPOMS ARE INTACT. THE WOOD IS IN PRISTINE CONDITION. THE TOP FOLDS BACK FINE AND THE BACK OPERATES SMOOTHLY. THE ONLY FLAW I CAN SEE IS SOME MISSING RUBBER ON THE WHEELS. Up for bid is a Black Baby Carriage original stroller. Circa estimated 1940's to 1960's. Condition all original with Peslo style Canopy. Condition quite good for it's age. Carriage body very good, light wear. Some wear to canopy, inside light wear. Chrome needs shined up has light surface rust. Wheels original slight to little wear white rubber type on outside. Frame sturdy and very good condition. Has a brake for secure stop. About 42" tall to top of canopy. 35" tall to push bar total length 36" long, with handle about 43" long. Inside about 33" long, width outer edge left side of handle to right side of handle about 20" wide. Inside boards show discoloration due to age. No mattress, carriage has minor flaws, see pics) used but in vintage condition. Selling"as is" use"as is" or ... morefor parts or restoration.
