Set of 4 Antique Thayer Baby Stroller Wheels & carriage
Up for bid is a set of 4 Thayer baby carriage wheels. They are in good shape for they age. All spokes are intact. Rubber is sound. There is rust but I do not see any rust that has eaten thru. Antique Victorian Child's Baby Carriage Buggy Stroller Dated 1877& Signed Description This is an exquisite Antique Victorian Baby Stroller with its original umbrella frame and attachment. All parts are original including the reclining seat. The seat upholstery has been professionally recovered without removing the original fabric or stuffing( this was done due to excessive fraying of the original fabric) The feet area tapestry is original and still intact( does show wear) The original umbrella was also recovered over the old fabric due to torn& worn original fabric. The umbrella is adjustable and all the mechanisms are intact and working. The best part of this beautiful stroller is the great condition of the carriage body& frame work and the fact that it still has the manufactures dated plaque attached to the back of the stroller ... moreseat( see photos) Manufactured by the Downing Carriage Co. Erie, PA. Patents range from 1877 to 1883. The front part of the stroller is surrounded by ornate spindles and ornately shaped cane. Which forms a heart shape design along all three sides. The two sides of the stroller also have metal safety rails attached. The outer sides of the stroller seat are oak wood framed with tightly woven wicker panels that are all intact with no holes present. The side pins that hold the seat in an upright position are present. These pins can be removed to lay the baby down. The child’s strap-in leather belt is also present; however. One end is missing a short piece of the strap; both buckles are present. The front two side wheels measure 20" in diameter and are all wood with metal rims. The two back side wheels measure 22" in diameter and are also all wood with metal rims. There is one tin hub cap missing on the left front wheel( decorative only. Does not affect the function of the wheel or stroller- see photo) The push handle is all solid oak. Ornately shaped with metal tin caps on the ends. There is some minor surface rust on areas of the metal frame underneath the stroller

Vintage Pram with detachable parasol. The parasol has springs top& bottom that allow you to adjust where it covers. It is missing 1 rod in the top of it but it can most likely be replaced. The leather straps on the bottom are ok but could use new ones. They hold the seat in the frame and act as the shocks. Break works perfect. Covering is really nice. Wheels are 6" and in good shape. These buggies run about $450 and restored, $950-$1000. This one has not been restored but everything is in working order. Features spring suspension, adjustable headrest or seat inside, adjustable canopy, removable snap half cover, and working brakes. Inside measures 31 inches long by 14 inches wide with a 7 inch depth to mattress top. Mattress is 2 inches thick. Outside measure 48 inches long by 48 inches tall. Wheels are 12 inches in diameter. Condition is quite good for its age-it's been passed down in the family for a few generations. Tried to capture areas of wear in the pictures: one side has tiny tears near the gold detailing, one top corner is worn, wheels ... morehave cracks, and there is rust on the metal under frame. In response to a question about folding up: The hood on the buggy folds down and the handle can fold up over the top lowering the bed down to rest right on top of the wheels. 4 NEW REPLACEMENT WHEELS ANTIQUE DOLL BABY CARRIAGE STROLLER BUGGY AQUA
These 4 brand new replacement wheels(for either doll or baby buggy/stroller/carriage) these were in the original box that they were mailed in when I got them but the box was completely falling apart so I do not have it- I would guess these to be over 50 years old because the former owner's only daughter is over 60 years old. The name'Chris Kaye Madison. Ill. 4751' is on the wheels. They are rubber and plastic but heavy thick plastic, they feel like metal but a magnet will not stick to them. The greenish part is exactly 3 1/4" across and with the rubber, they are a little over 4 1/4" They are very pretty with no scratches. Package will be a little over 2 pounds. RARE Welsh Baby Buggy 10" Metal Wheels& Tires These are what I believe to be a very special set of Welsh wheels. I did quite a bit of research and was unable to find anything similar. These were likely wheels used on high-end buggies for the elite. The tires measure 10" in diameter outside to outside. They are made of a hard durable material much like trike tires. The wheels are metal with metal spokes. The center caps are made of hard plastic with the Welsh logo placed in the center. Antique 1960's Rex Baby Carriage Stroll O Chair Pram Vintage Stroller
Up for bid is an nice Antique 1960's Rex Stroll O Chair Pram style Baby Carriage in good condition. This company used to make these carriages in NYC so this isn't an imported replica. Overall this green stroller with white vinyl inside is in great shape with only few very minor blemishes. It does have one of the hub caps missing and some minor pitting on parts of the chrome undercarriage. The top section is removable and the sun shade is convertible. Offered for your consideration is an antique doll carriage. Circa late 1800's- early 1900's. The Victorian baby doll pram has a semi-circular shaped wooden box. Folding canopy, wood handle, iron metal framing and spoke wheels. Measurements(approx. 26 inches tall from floor to top of opened canopy hood 21½ inches tall from floor to top of collapsed canopy hood 24 inches tall from floor to top of wooden handle 10" wide x 20" long x 6" deep(interior) x 10" deep(exterior/center) wooden box Overall length including handle- 28 inches Four 7½" diameter wheels including original hard rubber tread 8 metal spokes on each side of wheel- total 16 spokes/wheel I had the toy baby doll carriage professionally refurbished ~30 years ago. The exact shade of blue was used to match the original color of the wooden body. ... moreThe iron frame was painted ivory and the wooden handle was painted black. Gold accents on the hubcaps were also painted to restore to the original turn-of-the century look. The canopy sun cover was replaced with a fabric-lined leatherette material. Nuts. Bolts and screws were also replaced. The buggy wood structure. Metal frame and spoke wheels are all in very good condition. The hinges on the hood work as they should and open and close with ease. The tires are not flat and the wheels turn smoothly so pushing the doll carriage is effortless. Unmarked. The carriage will be disassembled for shipping. The 100+ year old carriage is not meant for a baby to be placed in; it is to be used only for a toy doll. It's a fabulous way for a collector to display a prized doll! VINTAGE ANTIQUE BABY PRAM STROLLER CARRIAGE BUGGY COLLAPSES DISPLAY DOLLS BEARS
Vintage antique baby pram carriage- stroller- buggy. It is missing the hood/canopy piece. Overall condition is very nice for the age- there are no rips. Tears, holes or major stains- needs a light cleaning. The pink mattress has no rips or tears in the pink plastic. There is a little paint loss here and there(nothing major) Rolls easily- plenty of wear left on the wheels. The carriage part measures 32" x 15 1/2" x 9" It collapses down to 15" very easily- bring the handle forward and it goes down for easy storage. Great way to display vintage dolls or bears. BARN FIND, ANTIQUE, VINTAGE baby carriage, buggy, stroller
CHECK THIS BARN FIND OUT. I just picked this up today from an old closed up Co-Op here in the backwoods of northern Michigan. This cool wooden and metal baby carriage is OLD. This stroller stands a proud 36 inches tall and is 26 inches front to back. There is one turned dowel on the front that is broken(I'll be happy to glue and clamp it if someone wants me to. See the picture) The backrest board is missing. This was nailed on so it looks to be quite easy to replace. The tires are very nice with only a few places where the outer edge is missing(see pictures) The wheels are beautiful spoke wheels that are 10 inches across with a dozen metal spokes. 6 on the inside and six on the outside of each wheel. Surface rust throughout makes the patina totally awesome. The back handle is also turned wood. The metal frame is made of flat steel that ... moremust have been forged to turn and go around the axles. Both of the wooden arm rests and the bottom seat are still very nice and solid. There are four old strings/cords that are hanging on it that I'll just leave well enough alone as I think they ad even more character to this little carriage/ baby buggy. We're located a beautiful 5 hour drive north west of the Mackinaw Bridge. High bidder is responsible for all actual shipping fees. I will be happy to bring this to our local shipping shop. I believe it was recover just before I purchased at an antique shop. This is the real deal. Wood and metal wheels and Iron curled shock system. I was told it was originally made for twins. The cover is reversible from side to side with the original securing fasteners. Sadly. I no longer have the room for this item. The new owner can keep the dated cover and bedding(vintage embroidery) or have it restored to pristine condition. There are a few stains on the cover that show its age, but it is a wonderful piece! I used this buggy with my last two children. It was awesome, when I rolled the buggy in the mall or at the park everyone, including little children would stop me and ask what it was. ... moreIt is an incredible piece of history! Adorable RED antique baby doll stroller which is collapsible(foot rest also folds up) MEASUREMENTS: 36" high x 19" wide x 25" long The cute cloth seat is fully removable and can be washed in the washer(you might want to do since it have some dirt marks on the back of the seat) Although there is some paint loss and the tires have seen better days.
