It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. It is in as-found condition and could use a bit of restoration or you could leave it just as is and it would make a wonderful display stroller for old bisque dolls or old teddy bears. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. Vintage Pram with detachable parasol. The parasol has springs top& bottom that allow you to adjust where it covers. It is missing 1 rod in the top of it but it can most likely be replaced. The leather straps on the bottom are ok but could use new ones. They hold the seat in the frame and act as the shocks. Break works perfect. Covering is really nice. Wheels are 6" and in good shape. Antique 1940's-50's Bilt Rite Baby Carriage Buggy Stroller Brown Vinyl. Bilt Rite was once the top of the line company for the production of baby buggies. Non-restored. These buggies run about $450 and restored, $950-$1000. This one has not been restored but everything is in working order. Features spring suspension, adjustable headrest or seat inside, adjustable canopy, removable snap half cover, and working brakes. Inside measures 31 inches long by 14 inches wide with a 7 inch depth to mattress top. Mattress is 2 inches thick. Outside measure 48 inches long by 48 inches tall. Wheels are 12 inches in diameter. Condition is quite good for its age-it's been passed down in the family for a few generations. Tried to capture areas of wear in the pictures: one side has tiny tears near the gold detailing, one top corner is worn, wheels ... morehave cracks, and there is rust on the metal under frame. In response to a question about folding up: The hood on the buggy folds down and the handle can fold up over the top lowering the bed down to rest right on top of the wheels. 4 NEW REPLACEMENT WHEELS ANTIQUE DOLL BABY CARRIAGE STROLLER BUGGY AQUA
These 4 brand new replacement wheels(for either doll or baby buggy/stroller/carriage) these were in the original box that they were mailed in when I got them but the box was completely falling apart so I do not have it- I would guess these to be over 50 years old because the former owner's only daughter is over 60 years old. The name'Chris Kaye Madison. Ill. 4751' is on the wheels. They are rubber and plastic but heavy thick plastic, they feel like metal but a magnet will not stick to them. The greenish part is exactly 3 1/4" across and with the rubber, they are a little over 4 1/4" They are very pretty with no scratches. Package will be a little over 2 pounds. These were likely wheels used on high-end buggies for the elite. The tires measure 10" in diameter outside to outside. They are made of a hard durable material much like trike tires. The wheels are metal with metal spokes. The center caps are made of hard plastic with the Welsh logo placed in the center. Antique Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage w/ Parasol. Pram Style Buggy. Early 1890 This baby carriage is from the Victorian period and in nice working condition. A wonderful display for photography. Displaying a doll collection. Or pushing your little angel around town. Update: I had a local seamstress sew a beautiful new cover for the parasol with lace. See new photos. And I will include the old pattern with the carriage. But this really made a wonderful addition to this carriage. The material is free floating and not sewn into the umbrella. And this could be done for a tighter fit. But this way the material is not under stress for display. The material looks to all be original and complete with both sides. Bottom and back. The buggy measures 35" inches tall without the adjustable& folding parasol. The length with the footrest to the ... morehandle is 42" inches long and the width is widest part of the back wheels which measures 22 1/4" inches wide. The footrest is free and adjustable back support allows for the seat to lay down for a bed. The carriage rolls freely and easily and is a black steel frame. And the carriage has a foot brake that holds firm. The frame of the parasol is complete without any damage and a unique folding design. A true survivor and a beautiful piece of American history and one sure to get all the right attention. Condition is great with just two minor repairs besides the parasol cover and lace with will need repairing or replacing. The reattaching the wicker side foot panel(or leave it off) And there is a little bow to the one foot rest sides from the side panel being off. The material on the parasol is new(see update above) So the only damage is on the wicker footrest where one of the sides have come off and these two pieces are included in the sale for reattaching. It appears the wicker was painted or maybe this is the original paint. Not sure, it all looks untouched as the paint is concerned. Beautiful. There is a little paint loss here and there(nothing major) Rolls easily- plenty of wear left on the wheels. The carriage part measures 32" x 15 1/2" x 9" It collapses down to 15" very easily- bring the handle forward and it goes down for easy storage. Great way to display vintage dolls or bears. The cover is reversible from side to side with the original securing fasteners. Sadly. I no longer have the room for this item. The new owner can keep the dated cover and bedding(vintage embroidery) or have it restored to pristine condition. There are a few stains on the cover that show its age, but it is a wonderful piece! Up for sale we have a very rare vintage baby carriage. It is estimated to be from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It has metal framing. Metal wheels, with a wooden body, there is a pad where the baby would normally lay. and if you lift it up there are springs underneath, it has a leather hood. This particular carriage carries a unique crest on the side. It also displays a great deal of what looks like hand carving/wood scallops on the sides of the carriage. I asked an antique dealer and he suggested this possibly belonged to a wealthy family. He also explained that the more decorative ones were often special ordered and made personally for certain wealthy families. This is a"rare baby carriage" that looks great for its age. I have had this carriage for many years. and I have yet to find one as exceptionally unique as this ... moreone. It has that"Creepy Cool" look that would add character to your antique collection or antique store. This piece is in relatively good condition. Antique Victorian Wicker & Iron Baby/Doll Pram Stroller Carriage Buggy Vintage
This is an antique. Victorian, full size wicker pram. Pram made of metal and wicker. With canvas seat. Rolls smoothly. The wicker weave has loosened up a bit and may need to be re-attached at edges, rubber wheels have a few cracks, the curved area where the child's feet rest is coming loose, you can see the nails up above where it was attached to, and may need to be re-attached. I will be removing the handle for shipping and my husband said that the bolts will probably break when I remove them, so be aware that those 4 bolts may not be original, I don't know yet. Please keep in mind that I don't know a lot about this type of item. But I have tried to describe it accurately. It is approx 28" long, 21" wide and 28" tall not including the handle. CHECK THIS BARN FIND OUT. I just picked this up from an old closed up Co-Op here in the backwoods of northern Michigan. This cool wooden and metal baby carriage is OLD. I was just informed that this is actually a VERY OLD baby wheel chair) This stroller/wheel chair stands a proud 36 inches tall and is 26 inches front to back. There is one turned dowel on the front that is broken(I'll be happy to glue and clamp it if someone wants me to. See the picture) The backrest board is missing. This was nailed on so it looks to be quite easy to replace. The tires are very nice with only a few places where the outer edge is missing(see pictures) The wheels are beautiful spoke wheels that are 10 inches across with a dozen metal spokes. 6 on the inside and six on the outside of each wheel. Surface rust throughout makes the patina totally awesome. The ... moreback handle is also turned wood. The metal frame is made of flat steel that must have been forged to turn and go around the axles. Both of the wooden arm rests and the bottom seat are still very nice and solid. There are four old strings/cords that are hanging on it that I'll just leave well enough alone as I think they ad even more character to this little carriage/ baby buggy/ wheel chair. We're located a beautiful 5 hour drive north west of the Mackinaw Bridge. High bidder is responsible for all actual shipping fees. Antique Victorian Dolly Toy Stroller Carriage Pram Buggy Measures about 21 inches long. About 23 inches high at the top of the handle, and about 13 inches wide. The cotton lining material appears to have been replaced several decades ago with some cotton denim. It appears to be at least 100 years old given the type of wheels it has. It obviously was well used, but still appears sturdy. It looks to be iron and steel, painted black, with some rust spots. The fabric appears to be replaced, but it probably was based on the original pattern. A great addition to any vintage toy or doll collection. This is an old Folding Baby Carriage/Buggy/Stroller with oiled Canvas fabric over a steel frame. The handle is fancy turned wood. Listed is this lovely antique wicker Baby Doll Carriage made by Lloyd Loom Products of Menominee. Michigan in 1925. This is the same Carriage seen featured in the 1925 edition of the November Ladies' Home Journal. This carriage is all original in lightly played-with condition and everything works WELL. Paint is missing from the wooden handle. One of the locking eyelets on the drop down back appears to have been repaired-by-Dad with a different sized eyelet, and the fabric has many small marks/stains, but no smells or signs of repair. ... moreThe wrought iron metal armature is in near mint condition, the foot brake works and locks into position strongly, and the hardware holding the Wicker Bonnet is firm and snug, allowing you to adjust the Bonnet to multiple positions. The rubber wheels show signs of wear from use, but are evenly worn and have NONE of the shrinking gaps one normally sees when rubber dries out. Rubber wheels remain hydrated and ready to use condition. Shipping should be stress free as this is a very sturdy(still) and well constructed baby doll stroller. This is a really cute and well made baby doll buggy. Carriage or stroller. It is made of wood with ornate spiral patterns, a metal carriage frame and wheels, with a black canvas top and interior. I have no idea of its age, but people tell me and other listings indicate it is an antique. I am calling it vintage or perhaps antique, similar to myself. I will let you decide and call it what you like. I just think it's really neat, especially with the little baby doll in her little white outfit. The doll is of course modern. Large Antique Silver Cross Pram Baby Stroller Carriage Buggy WASHINGTON DC Brown
Up for sale. A large antique Silver Cross Pram Baby Stroller- Carriage- Buggy. Stroller is earth brown color, made during the 1950s in Birmingham, England. The metal baby carrier can be removed off the chrome chassis. The bedding can be propped up. This is a very nice stroller. This stroller is a full size. It measures roughly 46" tall x 45" long with the handles open x 24" wide, from wheel to wheel. I don't know if the white bedding is original or not. Condition: Wear is expected of a baby carriage this old. Below I've listed everything that I see on the pram. 1) There are no tears or rips in the fabric. It looks very good. 2) On the fabric that covers the bed area. Which comes off, it seems like something was spilled on one area. 3) The rubber wheels and the break pad show the most wear. They are cracked and dry. ... more4) One of the two break pads is missing. 5) On all four sides of the metal carrier there are a few scratches. Noticable on close inspection. 6) The chrome chassis looks good with m inimal surface rust. Except around the spokes area on the wheels. 7) The metal logo on the front side has part of it loose and disconnected from the rest of the logo. Seen in the 4th photo. The logo looks intact. If left alone, the logo stays intact, but if you move the last 1/2" smaller right part of the logo, it moves, which could be super glued to keep it stayed together. Shipping note: Local pick up is available in the Washington DC area. Stroller is large and heavy. I'll mail the stroller in two boxes. The shipping cost will include insurance and tracking info. I could ship this via Greyhound. The cost would be less, but there is no insurance for it, and it would be transfered from bus to bus across country. Mid to late 1800's baby doll buggy. Carriage. This is in strikingly great condition. Wheels turn easily. There are no defects in the wood. The metal, the or the canvas. The top and inside canvas is in great condition. Of course the canvas is stiff. The hinges work but we did not open it all the way for fear of harming the canvas. We have not attempted any efforts to restore this buggy. It is dusted and wiped with a micro fiber cloth. We leave the restoring to the pros.
