Three small dishes from the 19th c depicting crickets. Flowers, butterflies and a phoenix bird. The marks are Qianlong, Yongzheng and Xianfeng but all are from the 19th c. There is a restoration to the biggest plate, the one with the Xianfeng mark see pic. 7,8 and 9, other, there are no chips, cracks or restorations. The plates range from 13,5- 17.7 cm in diameter. Description This attractive Chinese export porcelain saucer is decorated in a variety of overglaze enamels. The dominant color is rose and as a result this antique saucer can be referred to as Famille Rose. The decoration consists of a large peony bush and a butterfly. It should be noted that the green enamels display the typical“halo-effect” Usually found on the Famille Verte wares from the Kangxi and Yongzheng period. Although the box has no labels. I believe this is from the Ca mau wreck site. The Ca Mau shipwreck was a Chinese Junk found before the Vietnamese coast of the Ca Mau peninsula. It was probably on its way to Batavia in the Dutch East Indies. Some of the cargo has the Yongzheng reign marks(1723-35) which allowed for the dating to c 1725. The main cargo was sold at Sotheby's Amsterdam in 2007. Measures approx. 10.6 cm across at widest and 5 cm high. Weight 212gr. Date c 1723-35 Yongzheng period. Condition is good. A Chinese Yongzheng period porcelain plate or dish manafactured around 1730+/ in the Jingdezhen kilns in the main'pottery region' of Southern China. Superb centre decoration as seen in the images; full border scroll consisting of pagodas. Rocks and the typical garden wall. The blue is medium to deep medium and is a stunning contrast to the white fine and thin porcelain body. Dish has no restoration but the rim is slightly chipped. Not from damage, but from the exfoliation of the brittle porcelain edge as often seen in period pieces of this age. Two of the minute chips extend into fine hairline cracks around 1-2cm long. The centre and internal body is not damaged in any way. The defects are not visible from a distance and the plate displays beautifully.
