The Vase is by far one of the finest examples I have personally seen. The Vase is superbly and intricately detailed throughout. The Vase has a nice imperial figural scenic design and rich Famille rose enamel top and base designs. The Vase is very finely and thinly potted throughout of a pure white translucent porcelain. The Vase has a finely hand written Daoguang mark. Along with a finely carved and formed footrim on a turquoise enamel. The Vase also has an old collection or museum inventory number label, along with a partial label which I believe is from the Christies auction house where I told the Vase was purchase many years ago, along with the Celadon Vase also listed in my other items. The Vase shows good and legitimate age throughout and by the superb qualities and rich colored enamel work I believe there is a good possibility it is infact a mark& period example. However I am not an expert so I will let you ultimately decide its age for yourself and bid acc

Ms. Morrison obtained this piece in 1968 in Kowloon from D. Lee(see her hand written note in the pictures below) The artist is Su Liu Peng(Su Liupeng) 1796-1862) Chinese listed artist. It is called Sitting in the Garden. It was painted in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. Painted on brown silk and mounted on silk. Condition as shown. The frame is about 39 cm x 61.6 cm(15 1/2 x 24 1/4 inches) Each painting is about 26 cm or 10 1/4 inches in diameter. Mrs. Mary Morrison. Over her lifetime, she collected a fabulous collection of Chinese antiques, mostly snuff bottles, and porcelain. Most of her pieces were collected between the 1940's- 70's in England and North America. We were lucky enough to purchase some of the nicer pieces which we are offering on ebay. All the items are completely authentic. Authenticated by Ms. Morrison, and also vetted by ourselves. ANTIQUE CHINESE ENGRAVING OF DAOGUANG PALACE COURT SCENE - SCROLL PAINTING
GJPaw Auctions is pleased to offer a superior selection of antiques and artifacts with ALL AT NO RESERVE! GJPaw Auctions is very pleased to offer a beautiful engraving of a Chinese Court Scene. The engraving was done by Thomas Allom in 1843 and represents a traditional scene of court attendants observing entertainment festivities. Thomas Allom was a founding member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and renowned as a topographical illustrator. He is well known for the engravings he did during his extensive traveling. This engravings gives us a rare look into 19th century palace life. We're allowed to look through the eyes of Allom as he witnessed the jugglers entertaining the court inside the lavish surroundings of the Imperial Palace. The piece also provides an important record of period furniture. Architecture, and dress of ... morethe time. It is an especially important engraving given the current market for artifacts from the Qing Dynasty, and is a must-have decorative piece for the porcelain or jade collector. Engravings of this sort were created prior to photography. And just a few were hand colored at the time of creation to make the imagery more realistic. This is one of those engravings. The engraving measures 10.5 inches wide by 7.8 inches tall(26.67 cm by 19.8 cm) The engraving is in good condition- please see the images for the complete condition. GJPaw Auctions has been in the Art business for over 25 years and is now expanding its operation to eBay.
