For your consideration is this very fine large antique Moriage Japanese Satsuma vase hand painted and gilded in a floral motif. Beautiful raised gold lines throughout floral design in multitude of vibrant hand painted colored floral design. Pretty turquoise. Mint green, olive, pink, maroons, etc. with hints of mustard in the larger sized rose. See Image close-ups. Underneath the hand painted florals is a stunning combination of hues of gray and turquoise base underneath. The bottom has a minor separation just at the interior base that looks like a crack. This is not a crack but a small separation of the material. Vase is completely crack and chip free and the workmanship is very fine. Vase measures 14” in height and 8” across. Weighs approx 4 lbs. A boy, and a gentleman. Some parts of picture is decorated by moriage(raised design) There are flower pictures in the back. Pictures in two vases are mirror images. There are letters on the bottom that read 十元(Ju-gen or Tou-gan) These are probably numbering rather than artist's signatures.
