Antique RARE Fastenerless Mortise 2 Lock 4 Patent Dates 1873 Gory Patent No keys
Antique Fastenerless Mortise Locks NO Key s* 4 Patent Dates from 1873 to 1885 Offered is a rarely found original Gory patented mortise locks. Quantity of 2. No Keys. This lock are unique in that they were patented to by using no screws or nails to attach to cabinets. Etc. There are 4 patent dates stamped on the back side as: April 22'73(1873) Aug 22'82(1882) July 17'83(1883) and Nov 24'85(1885) There is some minor metal staining found but mechanisms work well with the turning of the barrel key. Large lock measures 4" long by 2 3/8" wide and 1/2" deep. Tested with a key and it works well. Smaller lock measures 2 1/4" long by 2 1/16" wide by 1/2" deep. Not tested. This was the lock that was under patent infringement lawsuits in the 1890s by Duer vs Corbin. Antique Vintage Door Hardware Russwin Mortise Lock with brass knobs & keys 1909

Russwin Mortise lock has a face plate of 1 ¼” wide x 8' tall. 3 7/8' deep. Comes with Three tested and functional keys and 4 brass screws. I tested the keys and the push buttons of the lock multiple times to insure fit and function. This is a 1909 working antique lock, not a newer made in China version. It has pat. Dates on it of Jan. 3. 1907. Aug. 31. 1909, and Oct. 26. 1909 The beautiful door knob goes on the inside and turns to open the door whether it is looked or unlocked. No key is needed for the inside. The brass ring goes on the outside of the door to pull it shut(the ring does pivot to hang down) The door unlocks with the key. Using the push buttons on the face you can have the door open only ... moreby turning the key or by turning the ring. One push button locks the turning of the ring and the other push button would unlock it. The key cylinder is adjustable to fit the thickness of the door. This is steel and solid brass and is a very heavy lock. The keys say Russwin. Made in the USA. I showed a picture of how the door knob goes thru the door. The shaft unscrews near the middle of it. The part that the ring goes on looks like it has to be cut to length once the thickness of the door is determined. Vintage YALE lock assembly Mortise Lot with Keys
Hello folks.Here I have up is a Pair of Yale locks. And associated gear. I can only operate one of the locks, with the key. I can insert either key into the other unit, but cannot turn the key. Perhaps these need oiling? One of the keys is a bit distressed. I think pictures can say more here. It is solid and made well. Weighs 3.5 Pounds. I have no idea about locks. I found this with many other YALE lock pieces in a Box in a Basement. Owner worked at Yale. He has passed. I have other related items listed. I will combine shipping. From contents of closed antiques shop. Vintage brushed steel Half Mortise Drawer or Cabinet Lock with two pancake keys code stamped 6U7. Eagle Lock Company. 1 ¾” X 1 ¾” 9/16” diameter brass cylinder) Appears to be NOS(New Old Stock) with light surface rust. The lock works well. Lot of 23 mortise lock mechanisms I have grouped them by style in the pictures- 7 different styles. Two(2) different keys( included with this lot) used to test bolt action. ALL latches move freely(not perfectly) and all but six(6) of the bolts retract& return(not perfectly) of these six. The keys would not fit into four of them. some of my other listing haves Locks. Door lock mortise 4 keys Baldwin Kaba 8 Even though this has never been installed. There is some corrosion at the top of the piece(see pics) There are 8 tiny circular dips in the metal on each side of each key(small. Medium and large circles) a unique style! Therefore, the keys do NOT need to be cut. they already fit into the lock. There are two buttons to press; they feel very smooth. Of excellent quality. I think they work by allowing you to set the lock automatically every time you shut the door(without turning a key in the lock) Swiss-made from brass. 6830 is the lock number.
