It consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 brass escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with a brass faceplate, 1 brass anti-theft collar, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, 1 steel split spindle with a setscrew for connecting the knobs, and all 12 installation screws to fasten all parts to the door. All brass parts are solid brass, not plated steel. This is a high-quality, commercial-grade lockset. There was no mortise cylinder included with the set. This is the round. Barrel-like piece that goes into the lock, above the knob on the exterior side, and engages the lock once a key is inserted into it and turned. You could pick one up, brand new, with 2 keys at your local locksmith or hardware store for less than $20. T he mortise lock is locked by pushing the bottom button on the faceplate. And unlocked by either turning the interior knob or using a key(once mortise cylinder is installed) Once you turn the interior knob or key and open the door, if you do no not press the top button on the lock's faceplate, the lock stays in the"locked" position and the exterior knob cannot turn. Antique IRON YALE Dead Bolt Lock with BRASS KNOB
This old Yale iron dead bolt has been lying around in a box and it's time it found a new home. It measures 2 5/8" x 3 3/4" and is about 1 3/4" thick to top of knob. This listing is for the side with the bolt only. I don't have the piece the bolt slides into. It works fine but has been painted. Top of brass knob has been cleaned but has some scratches.
