Restored and refinished in an attempt to bring out their original workmanship and appearance as well as to make the set fully functional again. The lock mechanism measure 3 3/4” high by 3 1/8” deep and 5/8” in thickness. The solid brass face plate attached to the lock mechanism measures 5 ½” high by 7/8” wide by 3/16” thick. Included in this lot is a set of crystal like glass door knobs that are in remarkable condition and are void of any cracks or chips. Vtg Mortise Lock w/ Skeleton Key & Keeper from Taylor Rim Knob Lock Set No. 3001
Vintage mortise lock with keeper and original working skeleton key stamped#30109- has a working thumb latch on top. This is parts from a Taylor Rim Knob Lock Set No. 3001- horizontal style. There are no knobs. No spindle, no key hole plate, no screws. The box is missing parts and pieces and is old, yellowed, worn and torn and I will flatten it for shipping. The keeper measures approximately 3 1/8" long x 3/4" wide, the lock face measures approximately 3 1/8" long x 11/16" and the part that goes inside is approximately 3 3/4" wide x 3" long and is 5/8" thick, the spindle hole is approximately 5/16" square.

This lock set came from an auction in Vermont. It does not come with a key. The backset is marked Sargent. The door knobs are made of either brass or copper. I am missing the screw for one knob. Set of 3 Old Vintage Brass Bronze Bank Corbin Mortise Lock Sets Plates Knob Lot
These were salvaged off of a bank building in Baltimore.Md. back in the 1960's. Unfortunately the original owner could not recall which bank it was. The set in the middle takes a regular skeleton key while the 2 sets on either side have a cylinder type lock both of which are marked Corbin. The backing plates are also marked Corbin with the numbers 7788 or 3 and a 0 3X81 it looks like. The backing plate of the one in the center also marked Corbin with the numbers 77831. These look to me to be bronze but could be brass. One of the ones with the cylinder lock is unlocked while the other is currently locked. The one in the center is unlocked but turns kind of crusty sounding if you know what I mean. This one also has a bent and very rusty knob shaft. The backing plates on the 2 with the cylinder locks measure about 8 1/2" X 3" for ... morethe exterior plate and the inner plate is about 7" X 2 3/4"with the lock itself measuring about 4 3/4" X about 3 3/4" The one in the center that takes the skeleton key measures about the same with the lock measuring about 3 5/8" X 3 1/4" I do NOT have any keys for these locks. I purchased this for my Victorian home about ten years ago. I moved out long ago and this was never installed in my house. It is from The Brass Knob Architectural Antique store in Washington DC. It still has price stickers on most pieces. I pieced together a full set that I thought was gorgeous and went together well. It also works. I guarantee it or your money back. Two doorknobs, one lockset to insert into the door, a lock in the lockset without a key and another Corbin lock with a vintage key, a door jamb plate with screws. Everything is vintage except the piece you screw into the door jamb, that is shown in the plastic bag. Everything works. The deadbolt turns and moves well. There are two faceplates. One is 8 3/4 by 2 3/8 inches. The other one is 11 1/2 by 3 1/8 inches. The knobs are 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The deadbolt thumb turner is 1 3/8 inches. The white painted plate is 1 3/16 wide and 7 15/16 long. The part of the lockset that gets inserted into the door is 3/4 inch wide. 5 1/2 inches tall, and just under 4 inches deep(including the thickness of the white painted plate) Each Knob has a six petal flower center. There are tiny flowers decorating the edges of the larger plate and some type of crest with tiny urns decorating the smaller faceplate. The larger faceplate is marked $55. Antique NORWALK LOCK CO. Brass Mortise Door Lock, Knob and Handle Set
Up for auction is a Norwalk Lock Company brass mortise lock with an oval"egg shaped" knob on one side and hinged brass pull on the other side. Made in So. Norwalk. Conn. this is a heavy set that weighs over 3 pounds, 6 ounces. I do not have a skeleton key to fit this set, but it should not be difficult to get one from a locksmith. I'm not sure if it is solid brass, but I have put a couple of different magnets up to the knobs and mortise and found no magnetic attraction. The mortise is 13/16" thick, 4 1/2" tall, and 3 5/8" front to back. The manufacturer's info is stamped on the lock, as you can see in the last photo. There is also a number 14 at bottom of the lock side. The knob part is about 2 3/8" long, and shows some shiny spot on the outer edge, which could be from hand wear or from someone trying ... moreto shine it up. It feels like it is solid. The pull/handle, which is hinged, also measures about 2 3/8" long. This handle also has a round faceplate. The mortise has some paint on the edges, which I could flake off with my thumbnail, so it isn't on tight. I'll leave paint removal to you. The side of the mortise with the knob is a brassier color than the other sides and edges, which have more of a patina. It doesn't look like it was polished, just that it wasn't exposed enough to get a patina. That side does have some tarnish spots. Please check the photos closely, and ask if you have any questions. 3 Antique Norwalk Door Mortise Lock Set Lockset with Flat Brass Faceplates
Three antique Norwalk motise lock sets salvaged from an old Maine coast inn. Were in the doors to guest rooms. All are marked"Norwalk" in different styles. Two have longer brass front plates that measure 5.5" by 1 7/8" and lock bodies that measure 3.75X 3 1/8. The other one has a front plate that is 4.25X.75" and the lock body is 3X4" All have remnants of old white paint. One has a room number. 109, scratched into the side. All the triangular latch bolts work freely and all the dead bolt bars are painted in and not moving. These old lock sets appear to be made of cast iron with brass front pieces. There are no keys, screws or knobs.

Antique Glass Door Knob and Penn Mortise Lock Set With Key Lot C
You are bidding on an Antique Glass Door Knob and Penn Mortise Lock Set. The glass door knobs are in very nice condition with gentle wear but do need cleaning. The face plates are brass color over tin and measure. 1 ½ inches wide where knob spindle sets in and 1 inch wide where key area is x 5 ¼ inches long. The lock body measures 3 ¾ inches long x 3 ¼ inches wide x 5/8 inches deep/thick. The face plate of the lock measures 5 3/8 inches long x 7/8 inches wide. The casing plate measures 3 ½ inches long x 7/8 inches wide at the narrowest and 1 3/8 at the widest. This come with a functional skeleton key that has been tested and works as should. This is a nice used working antique lock. This Lock set is out of an old barn estate. I describe items the best of my ability but I am not an expert by any means. The backset for the knob spindle is about 2 3/8' Distance from spindle center to keyhole center is 2 1/8' This is a heavy duty solid brass face plate that is 3/16' thick. Comes with one tested and functional skeleton key. Also comes with the strike plate. I test the key multiple times on both sides of the lock to insure fit and function as well as the knob spindle. Antique vintage hardware large double pocket door mortise lock key metal box set Very. Very old- these appear to be in good condition for probable age and use. The metal has some scratches, wear to finish, bits of rust. The ornate front plate needs cleaning. It appears to work- when the key is turned, the rectangular piece comes out and fits into the corresponding hole on the other side. Also has what appear to be buttons- but they do not move. More basic information is below and I have listed lots of pictures. The front plates on these-one curves in and one curves out and they fit securely into one another. The face plate metal is possibly bronze and has a very pretty. Very intricate design. I did not find a maker's mark. The front plates measure 1 1/8 by 7 1/2. The smaller one-measuring only the box part is 2 1/4 by 5 1/2 and 1/2" ... morethick. The larger piece is 3 3/8 by 5 1/2 and 1/2" thick. The key is just under 2" tall. The set weighs just under 2 1/2 pounds I purchased this piece 10 years ago from a man who said he had found it at an Estate sale in upstate New York back in the 70's. Vintage Mortise Lock Set Bath Closet Small with Knob and Handle Vintage. So has finish loss and tarnishing. Needs cleaning, looks like it may have been painted, but seems to work. Button for locking works, but needs lubrication if you want to use it. Look at photos closely. This is a smaller type mortise lock. Probably for a closet or bath. No key needed as it would lock from one side by pushing a button up and down to lock the square shaft of the handle. The actual lock mechanism measures only 1-5/8" deep and 1-3/8" tall. The cover plates both measure 4" tall by 1-3/8" wide and the exposed plate that the latch goes through measures 2-3/4" tall by 3/4" wide. The knob is 1-3/4" diameter. The plates. Knob and lever have either been painted or antiqued at some time.

Antique brass mortise dead lock, latch, handle and knocker set - 1920's Colonial
This is a working vintage 1920’s complete entry door deadbolt lockset. With knocker. It is heavy duty and attractive and was saved when we replaced the front door on our 1926 house. Includes: Mortise lock with deadbolt including long bolts to secure cylinder lock. Cylinder lock and mounting ring(modern) Decorative outside lower handle set with latch. Decorative outside top plate for cylinder lock. Decorative knocker and outside plate. Inside plate with brass door knob and small knob for locking. Inside brass door knob with split-screw mounting bolt. Three large mounting bolts for handle set and knocker with inside washers. Brass lock plate for door frame. The outer handle. Backplates and knocker are decorative with a patina from age. They are heavy and appear to be of solid cast brass or bronze- I tested that they do not attract a magnet, ... morethough some areas behind the grip on the knocker, and the part where the knocker hits its plate look a steely color. There are a few minor touches of red paint on some edges. The three main mounting bolts are included as they are vintage and custom to the pieces. I haven’t included the wood screws for mounting as new ones are are easily obtained from a hardware store. The lock mechanism has been cleaned. Lubricated with graphite oil and repaired. It has worked beautifully ever since(six months) after which we got our new door and stopped using it. About the repair A small piece of spring metal had become fatigued and snapped so that the deadbolt was not retracting fully. I fashioned a new one from a piece of tool spring using a jeweler’s saw. I removed the old spring from the brass component where it was attached and cleared the stub out with the saw. The new spring slots into the groove. I filled any gap with solder and filed the solder down smooth. the new spring fits snugly. Because of the configuration of the mechanism. It can be pulled out only if the component that it slots into is removed from the lock. This has worked smoothly ever since the repair, and is better th
