Beautiful Vintage Westmorland Love Birds Milk Glass Candy Dish Nice
Here is a very beautiful and ornate white milk glass candy dish made by the Westmorland Glass Co. This candy dish has a lid that is 2 love birds kissing. Base is a woven basket on pedestal. Both pieces have the Westmorland monogram on the underside. Great shape! I would say mint on this on. No chips or cracks. 6 1/2" from tip of tail to tip of tail. 5 1/4" tall and 4 3/4" wide. This is a beautiful sterling lunch place setting in the pattern Enchanting Orchid made by Westmorland in excellent ESTATE condition. Buffed and polished, although there may be very tiny nick and/or surface scratch mainly on knife handle. The knife measures approx. 9 1/8" in length; the fork measures approx. 7" in length; the salad fork measures approx. 6 3/8" in length; the tea spoon measures approx. 6" in length. The back of handles of forks and spoon are marked with Westmorland Sterling and Hallmark; one side of the knife blade is marked with Stainless and one side of the handle is marked with Sterling Handle. We have here vintage sterling silver flatware in the Westmorland Milburn Rose pattern. All pieces bear the Westmorland Sterling mark and are without monograms. They are in good condition. Showing only minor surface wear and scratches. All flatware has been stored in a Westmoreland pacific silvercloth chest between uses. We have not polished them prior to listing them. Antique 1919 Clear Crystal Covered Butter/Cheese Dish Waterford? Westmorland?
You are bidding on one Antique Clear Crystal Covered Butter/Cheese Dish. It belonged to my Grandmother-in-Law; the note with the dish shows it was given to her in 1919(note comes with dish) she would have been about 11. When I first did research. I thought it was a Waterford; however, I can find no mark. Maybe Westmorland? I am sorry I don't know more. It is very elegant and has a purple tinge to the glass. There are some small chips; they are hard to see but can be felt. I tried to take pictures of them but they don't show up. We are simplifying and getting rid of things we don't need or use.
