The map shown, the paper is aprox 19 1/2 by 27 inches, with the printed map a bit smaller(as you can see in the pics)the paper is thin, and shows some edge wear, zoom in on the pics for good detail, very hard to find in this larger scale. i have many from this book available, it is not dated but comes from the late 1800's. UPPER HOLLOWAY 1894 SHEET NUMBER 29 BRAND NEW. UNUSED IN SUPERB CONDITION This map is taken from the 1/2500 plans and reproduced by Alan Godfrey at about 15 inches to the mile. It is highly detailed, even showing individual houses, schools, works, churches and covers an area of about one and a half square miles There has been three versions of this map published. 1869, 1894 and 1914(This is the 1894 version and I am also selling the other versions separately on ebay right now) Showing how the area developed across the years. The maps each cover the same area, stretching from Holloway Prison eastward to Green Lanes and Highbury New Park, and from Finsbury Park station southward to Aberdeen Park and Holloway station. The GNR main line runs north-south through the map, with many sidings, and part of the Canonbury Branch; Finsbury Park and Holloway ... morestations are included, and the 1914 map has Drayton Park station. Railway information is detailed, with tracks, signal posts, air shafts etc. West of the railway is much of Holloway, including Holloway Road, the prison(left blank) Seven Sisters Road, Hornsey Road, St Mary's Workhouse Schools, West London Union Workhouse. East of the railway is part of Highbury around Highbury House and Highbury Park, while north of this is a detached part of Hornsey, South Hornsey, incl Brownswood Park; the 1869 map has part of the New River here. Gillespie Road and Arsenal football ground is on the later map. The map links up with London Sheets 20 Finsbury Park to the north. 28 Gospel Oak to the west. 30 Stoke Newington to the east. 39 Highbury to the south which I am selling on Ebay right now. UPPER HOLLOWAY 1914 SHEET NUMBER 29 BRAND NEW. UNUSED IN SUPERB CONDITION This map is taken from the 1/2500 plans and reproduced by Alan Godfrey at about 15 inches to the mile. It is highly detailed, even showing individual houses, schools, works, churches and covers an area of about one and a half square miles There has been three versions of this map published. 1869, 1894 and 1914(This is the 1914 version and I am also selling the other versions separately on ebay right now) Showing how the area developed across the years. The maps each cover the same area, stretching from Holloway Prison eastward to Green Lanes and Highbury New Park, and from Finsbury Park station southward to Aberdeen Park and Holloway station. The GNR main line runs north-south through the map, with many sidings, and part of the Canonbury Branch; Finsbury Park and Holloway ... morestations are included, and the 1914 map has Drayton Park station. Railway information is detailed, with tracks, signal posts, air shafts etc. West of the railway is much of Holloway, including Holloway Road, the prison(left blank) Seven Sisters Road, Hornsey Road, St Mary's Workhouse Schools, West London Union Workhouse. East of the railway is part of Highbury around Highbury House and Highbury Park, while north of this is a detached part of Hornsey, South Hornsey, incl Brownswood Park; the 1869 map has part of the New River here. The area covers Kilburn through Hampstead to Finchley Road.It involves the different old railway company lines and stations both goods& passenger with destinations plus milage figures. Lines of that time are depicted with different colours and includes sections of the Metropolitan.LNER& LMS as well as joint running lines.There is also a section in Scotland.This is a very detailed official Railway map in good condition. It is highly detailed, even showing individual houses, schools, works, churches and covers an area of about one and a half square miles There has been published four versions of this map. 1868, 1893, 1913 and 1937(PLEASE NOTE.This is the 1893 version and I am also selling the other versions separately on ebay right now) showing how the area developed across the years. The maps each cover the same area. Kilburn Park Road and Essendine Road eastward to Regents Park, and from Marlborough Road and St John's Wood Barracks southward to Marylebone station. They show the area developing across the years, a notable difference being the arrival of the Great Central Railway ... moreand Marylebone station, with its approaches, on the 1913 and 1937 maps. Lords Cricket Ground is in the centre of the map and other features include Hanover Terrace, Regents Park College, Blandford Square, St Dunstan's Villa, Sutherland Avenue, Maida Vale, St Augustine's church, Paddington Recreation Ground. The 1868 map is still largely undeveloped west of Portsdown Road. By 1937 the map is almost entirely built up, and Maida Vale Studios and Abbey Road Studios are already major musical centres. The GNR main line runs north-south through the map, with many sidings, and part of the Canonbury Branch; Finsbury Park and Holloway ... morestations are included, and the 1914 map has Drayton Park station. Railway information is detailed, with tracks, signal posts, air shafts etc. West of the railway is much of Holloway, including Holloway Road, the prison(left blank) Seven Sisters Road, Hornsey Road, St Mary's Workhouse Schools, West London Union Workhouse. East of the railway is part of Highbury around Highbury House and Highbury Park, while north of this is a detached part of Hornsey, South Hornsey, incl Brownswood Park; the 1869 map has part of the New River here.
