The plate was folded inside the book and has the original centrefold, although this central line is more visible on the scanned image than the actual print up for auction. Although a general impression of the print can be seen from the image, it doesn't really capture the true detail and color quality of the original. The originator of the print up for auction was Joseph Meyer(May 1796- June 1856) who published the respected German encyclopedia. ... moreMeyers Konversations-Lexikon. This map is one of an entire collection of 100 Antique Maps- German and American- that I am listing for auction. Each of these maps are original and in excellent condition; very suitable for framing. West Virginia is a U.S. state located in the Appalachian region of the Southern United States. It is bordered by Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the southwest, Ohio to the northwest, Pennsylvania to the north. And Maryland to the northeast. West Virginia is the 41st largest by area and the 38th most ... morepopulous of the 50 United States. The capital and largest city is Charleston. Located in the Appalachian Mountain range. West Virginia covers an area of 24.229.76 square miles(62,754.8 km 2) With 24,077.73 square miles(62,361.0 km 2) of land and 152.03 square miles(393.8 km 2) of water. Making it the 41st-largest state in the United States. West Virginia borders Pennsylvania and Maryland in the northeast. Virginia in the southeast. Ohio in the northwest. And Kentucky in the southwest. Its longest border is with Virginia at 381 miles. Followed by Ohio at 243 miles, Maryland 174 miles, Pennsylvania 118 miles and Kentucky at 79 miles. West Virginia became a state following the Wheeling Conventions and broke away from Virginia during the American Civil War. Antique Pillow Cover! Excellent condition. Appraised on Antiques Roadshow for about $300-$400! That was FUN! Too bad we didn't make it on TV! Turn of the Century. early 1900's. I'm guessing about 1906. Based on the others I have. This was from my Grandmother. Who told me you were supposed to sew beads and sequins on it as a household craft. Then make it into a pillow. Measures about 20" x 16" Professionally mounted on foam core for framing. Colors are clear. Close to original. There are some minor condition issues, but the appraisers saw it in this condition. Antique Tin Tole Toleware Tea Canister Lithographed Stars and Tulips Here is a wonderful old tin tea canister we just found in my mother's attic. Tea" in tole script is written in white with reddish orange outlines on the front. Surrounded by a lithographed design including stars and what look to be tulips. The litho is quite worn and faded with age, but is still visible. The sides still retain much of the original dark umber metallic litho finish. The original cap is in place, still fitting nice and tight. It meaures 6 3/4" tall. And about 4 1/4" diameter. There are scrapes in the finish, and the tin has darkened with age where the finish has worn away. There is a dent in the back, where the seam is, shown in the next to last photo. British North America referred to the colonies and territories of the British Empire in continental North America. The term was first used informally in 1783. But it was uncommon before the Report on the Affairs of British North America(1839) Called the Durham Report. In 1775 the British Empire included 20 territories north of New Spain. These were Newfoundland, Rupert's Land, Nova ... moreScotia, Prince Edward Island. The Thirteen Colonies(which later united to become the United States after independence from the United Kingdom) East and West Florida. And the Province of Quebec. Britain had acquired Quebec from France and East and West Florida from Spain by the Treaty of Paris(1763) Which ended the Seven Years' War. Spain regained the Floridas and the United States of America. Upon acknowledgement of their sovereignty, acquired the part of Quebec south of the Great Lakes by the Treaty of Paris(1783) Nova Scotia was split into modern-day Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in 1784. The part of Quebec retained after 1783 was split into the primarily French-speaking Lower Canada and the primarily English-speaking Upper Canada in 1791. After the War of 1812. The Treaty of 1818 established the 49th parallel as the United States– British North America border from Rupert's Land west to the Rocky Mountains. Britain gave up Oregon south of the 49th parallel. Which had been part of the Hudson's Bay Company's Columbia District. Under the Oregon Treaty of 1846. The boundary of British North America with Maine was finally determined by Webster-Ashburton Treaty of 184

The underlying premise of these Civil War maps was to depict the cartography as it specifically related to events of the Civil War. Thus, individual battles, small forts, troop movements, local rail lines, panoramic views, etc. are often rendered and explained with precision in a manner quite unique. Also, the very large format of the sheet allows for a level of detail which makes the map perfect for display or study by a Civil War buff, since the detail it contains is to be found almost no where else on this scale. Cuba remained a territory of Spain until the Spanish–American War ended in 1898. And gained formal independence from the U.S. in 1902. A fragile democracy. Increasingly dominated by radical politics eventually evolved, solidified by the Cuban Constitution of 1940. But was quashed in 1952 by former president Fulgencio Batista. Who intensified and catalyzed already rampant corruption, political repression and crippling economic regulations. Batista was ousted in January 1959 by the July 26 movement. Hart" The romantic in me wonders if the song won her heart. Did he ever return? Did they wed? The Sheet Music is in a protective sleeve with cardboard backing and is shipped out as such. None of the music has been trimmed. The images are either taken by a digital camera or a scanner. The scanner images might not show all of the edges because of the size limitation of the scanner.
