Guaranteed original, showing a little wear, but eminently presentable as it is, with lovely original handcolouring. Dated 1821 in the imprint at the bottom, and with plenty of detail(at nearly 4" to 1 mile) not least the bridges(there were 5 of them at this time) which are shown in profile(see photos) Size: Folded 36cms x 11.5cms. Opening out to 63.5cms x 46cms. Condition: A folding map mounted on linen. Some wear at the folds. With splits(a noticeable one in the centre) and small holes at the meeting points. Discoloured and a little stained, but with lovely original colour. Very stained on the back with old ink numbers, but none of this affecting the front. So an old item with some wear, but it would look splendid if, for example, framed as it is. Sold without a slipcase. I will post worldwide. Starting at the ridiculous 0.99p. But confident that it will reach the true value of an early 19th century detailed London Town Plan.

There is a tiny bit of wrinkling in the center fold toward the bottom edge of the paper and very slight discoloration at the extreme edge of the paper at right. Well beyond the black border of the image. Otherwise chart is perfect. The white ring showing in several of the photos is just a reflection of light on the lense of my camera. It is not actually on the chart. Please look at all 12 photos carefully, as most details, information, and flaws are visible in them. This 1940 Esso map of New England is in extremely good condition. Especially for a map over 70 years old. The map was issued by Esso, but also notes"Colonial Beacon Oil Company" on the cover. The heavier paper used in the older maps has been durable, and the only sign of wear is an inaccurate re-folding after some previous use. The map is complete and undamaged/unmarked. This map has great detail of Connecticut. Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, along with a separate'Pictorial Guide' to tourist points in the region. French Vintage Map of England 1848
This map comes from a French Atlas published in 1848. The maps were un-bound in the Atlas. So they are loose and not toren at all. The laungage on map is French. And the map of Englad as the world looked, in 1848. I found many of them in a barn sale in the countryside south of Paris. They look great framed- The size 20” x 15”1/2 I have sold them to art galleries. Collectors and others between $300 and $500 each. I no longer want to keep them or sell them. After the Dunkirk Evacuation at the end of May 1940. The threat of invasion was now very real. The Second World War had come to the Home Front. The military turned to their maps of Great Britain- produced by the Ordnance Survey- to find them woefully outdated and inadequate. Ordnance Survey immediately dropped work on the and began an intensive programme of updating the military’s sheets. Before 1940. The military’s maps of England& Wales had the unmemorable series title‘GSGS 3907’ and of Scotland‘GSGS 3908’ These were based on the sheet ... morelines and mapping of the and. Although the military and civilian series developed separately. The‘War Revision 1940’ used the latest civilian 1-inch sheets available in the correct size. With the addition of a military grid overprint and- if there was time- a few important revisions. Once produced, these sheets took on the‘GSGS 3907’ or‘GSGS 3908’ title. Eleven sheets in the south-west of England used the sheet lines and mapping. Although elsewhere or sheet lines and mapping were used. The first 1-inch War Revision sheets were issued in the Summer of 1940. Ordnance Survey’s priority was England& Wales. Because the threat of invasion was felt to be greater in the southern part of Great Britain. The first Scottish War Revision sheets were not issued until June 1941. John Kimbell- Original Copy of"An Account of the Legacies. Gifts, Rents, Fees, etc appertaining to the Church and Poor of the Parish of St. Alphege, Greenwich" printed for the benefit of the poor women in the Jubilee Almshouses, London 1816. One volume with original cover separated. Also included is original Map of Greenwich Village dated 1695. Excellent example of the vintage map with wonderful hand colored boundaries. The oldest known map of the area is the 1695“Survey of the King’s Lordship. Or Manor of East Greenwich” by Samuel Travers, the Royal Surveyor(which has north at the bottom) and shows that the area now known as the Westcombe Woodlands was on the northern edge of the Manor of West Comb– which stretched as far south as the road junction known today as the Royal Standard and was bounded by Greenwich Park to the west, ... morewith enclosed fields to the east, lying roughly where Westcombe Hill is today. This British Medway River Stangate Creek to Rochester chart# 1834 Published 1941 with corrections thru 1956 Dimensions: 28 x 51(71 cm x 130 cm) The chart was a working piece of history. Therefore with age some yellowing has occurred. There was also a spill on the right border of the chart, not affecting the readability or use. As with all vintage artifacts, some of beauty is from use. This is on extra heavy paper with great detail. Please see the pictures. The chart shows, chimneys, churches, other building, roads and features including topographical information like elevation mountains and streams. There was a spill on the side of the map, and two on back please note them. Because the spill was on the side nothing in the chart has been affected.
