There are two ink smudges- at the lower right extreme edge, and bottom left edge. The latter smudge extends slightly onto the map, but all the other defects mentioned would be covered by framing. GENERAL NOTE ON CONDITION: The maps from this source are over 150 years old. And there is the expected evidence of age, which may include toning especially at the page edges, foxing, handling marks, slight waviness of the paper and a degree of fragility. As with most maps and engravings from this period, these maps were bound into a book, rather than issued separately. Stitch holes may be visible at the binding edge, with possible slight loss. The fold mark is visible on the front, and obvious on the back. NOTE- There is a 7cm tear along the fold line from the top of the map. This could be repaired but will remain visible. GENERAL NOTE ON CONDITION: The maps from this source are over 150 years old. And there is the expected evidence of age, which may include toning especially at the page edges, foxing, handling marks, slight waviness of the paper and a degree of fragility. As with most maps and engravings from this period, these maps were bound into a book, rather than issued separately. Stitch holes may be visible at the binding edge, with possible slight loss.
