Map displays the first owners of the lots in the town of Carmichaels PA. The town was originally named Lisbon Town and was later renamed after James Carmichael. Some of the names shown on the map are: Betty Carmichael. Paul Dowlin, Lucas, Armstrong, Seaton, Sharpnack, and more. Map lists the original road names which some are still the same. Gives a survey description of the lots and location of Muddy Creek and the Bridge over it. This map is part of my personal collection and is the only one to exist! Please ask any questions. An original. Copper engraved antique town plan of DURHAM(Dunelmum) by Rutergus Hermannides. The plan was published in 1661 in Hermannides' Magna Britannia and is a close copy of Speed's town plan of Durham(1611) This charming black and white miniature map is in original condition. It is framed(240x230mm) and mounted(printed area 130x110mm) and does not appear to be laid to card or paper. The map shows the site of Durham in some detail. With the horseshoe meander of the River Wear(Vedra Fluvius) enclosing the cathedral and castle. Two major crossing points of the river(Elvet Bridge and Framwellgate Bridge) are shown as well as the churches of St Oswald, St Nicholas and St Margaret. The arms of the county and bishopric of Durham are found top right. The map is in very good condition. Check out my!
