Collection of 41 old six inch to one mile Ordnance Survey Maps of Scotland
On offer here is a collection of 41 original 1930’s and 1940’s printings of six inch to one mile maps of various parts of mainland Scotland. Most reprinted from the second edition of the early 1900’s. With some from the 1920’s edition. 36 measuring 22.5 inches x 16.5 inches(57cm x 42.5cm) approx. and 5 slightly smaller measuring 21.5 inches x 13 inches(55cm x 33.5cm) approx. Lightly rolled and generally in good condition apart from a few edge tears. Light creasing or marking. Each map has two file holes punched in the top margin. These large scale maps provide a fascinating insight into the Scottish Landscape of around 100 years ago. Including long gone railways, towns and villages before 20 th century development. Old roads, farms, settlements, etc. etc.

These are two cloth ordnance survey maps. One is Barnstaple 1960 costing 8/6. The other is Newquay and Padstow 1946 costing 7/ Size One Inch. Condition for the cloth maps appears good BUT the card covers are grubby and rubbed and there is a name in ink onthe Barnstaple map. Please ignore white marks from camera flash.
