For your consideration is this lot of 3 U.S. Post Office Route Maps. There are three maps that have two states on each. They each have a cloth covering part of the back. And the top edge. Below is a list of the maps, descriptions, and conditions of each. The first map measures 60 1/2" by 45 1/4" And the maps are in portrait orientation. It is a map of the post offices in the states of Utah and Idaho. This map was published by order of Postmaster General J.M. Donaldson on September 1, 1948 and April 1, 1950 respectively. This map is in good condition for its age with some tears around the edges and throughout. There ... moreis some minor creasing trhoughout as well, and it has some paint spots. There are no major chunks missing in this piece. The second map measures 60" by 42"45" tall. And it is portrait in orientation as well. It is a map of the post offices in the states of Utah and Idaho as well. This map was published by order of Postmaster General Frank C. Walker on January 1, 1944, and the Idaho map is the taller of the two. This map is in fair condition for its age with some tears along the edges. There is creasing throughout the map as well, and the bottom left corner is the worst. There are stains and paint spots throughout the map as well. Hi. This is a LARGE QUANTITY OF 1960's SHEET MAPS IN 1:50.000 SCALE OF KENYA AFRICA. There are 70 in total. They mainly date from around 1962 and were published by D Survey, War Office and Air Ministry. They measure between(approx. 24.5" x 32" and 25.25" x 36" Many have the sheet number neatly written in pen in the right hand margin. They are generally in very good condition. Some will have slight browning along one exposed edge/crease, a few will have the odd mark,stain or tear etc. Please take the time to view the other items in my shop as there are often similar ones to this in stock. This is a large 1929 Railroad Map of Texas. It is two maps measuring 28 X 20 inches each. It is quite detailed. Showing some topography, towns, transportation lines, and other landmarks as they existed in 1929. On its face it has a listing of the Railroads in existence at the time. See bottom scan. This map was wax engraved and was issued as part of the Rand McNally Commercial Atlas. To be used by shippers and businesses to get their goods to customers and markets. During this time, many different Railroad Companies existed, so this was no mean feat. The Rand McNally Commercial Atlas was updated yearly to show all railroad stops. Each rail line is shown by red numbers over printed on the base map which allowed for easy identification to find the rail line. This map is genuine. Not a copy or reprint.
