I wish I could tell you more about these but they've been in my Dad's jewelry box forever. I don't know who made them. Or if they're more than gold plated(they could be) of if they're black onyx. I make no guarantees. They are however antique and they do look good. If you'd like a good looking pair of cuffs and studs than look no more, but if you are trying to make a rags to rich's story and run to the appraisers and soon as they're delivered, then keep looking. Its out of my personal collection. The item is well marked. Item measures 8 1/4 inches long including the fringe. 3 inches wide at pin, ribbon is 2 1/2 inches wide, it weighs just over 1 ounce. Condition: Rated fine appears hardly ever used. It has no damage or wear. But needs to be pressed as it shows wrinkles from being folded in storage, see pictures. Up for Auction is here is a lot of 4 masonic fez from the Murat Shrine. Indiapolis, IN. 1. A 1971 Boone Co President Fez from the Murat Shrine Indianapolis Indiana. Size is 7 3/8. This particular fez is rare and stunning; as the rhinestone work is done with metal placement(rather than the plastic placements seen in later fezes) This causes it to truly gleam and sparkle! Pharohe head and some of the rhinestones have some discolorization from age. But this is typical in most vintage fezes. Sold as-is. 2. A plain/standard fez from the Murat Shrine Indianapolis Indiana. It was one of the most revered temples of the capital city of Cusco. The walls and floors were once covered in sheets of solid gold. And its adjacent courtyard was filled with golden statues. Rare - Over 100 yrs Old Ornate Masonic Knights Templar Sword Geo. W. Fletcher
Rare Ornate Masonic Knights Templar Ceremonial Sword made by George W. Fletcher Baltimore MD in the late 1800’s– early 1900’s. Owner’s name embossed on sword is Joseph Wheeler. Who was born in 1879 and died in 1940. The beauty of the scenes embossed on the sword is difficult to capture but several photos attempt to do so; warriors on horseback ride off to battle in the foreground with the Holy Land in the background. Another scene depicts a knight carrying a flag with the Knights Templar cross, many other symbolic markings as well. The sword is in very good condition and could be restored to a perfect shine but I was hesitant to attempt this and risk losing the original patina and wear; instead I leave that to someone more qualified to give this rare item its proper care and treatment. Even so, the scenes and markings are clear and stunning. ... moreThe scabbard shows some signs of wear, but that too can be fully restored. I included a picture of the type of wear on the scabbard as well as several pictures of the scabbard in its entirety. Overall,it’s in good condition, with the ornate details intact and original. There aresome slight cracks on the underside of the ivory head(closeup picture provided) but it’s intact and solid and none of its beauty is in any waymarred as the ornate topside is unmarked. The wear is consistent with its age, and considering that, it’s in amazing condition. Please view all the pictures as they attest to this fact. I also have paperwork from the Masonic Lodge upon the death of the sword owner and can include a copy for authenticity. Will also consider serious offers via email. The item was purchased in the Phillipines in the 1980s, and a later hand made frame was made for it. This wood carving although unsigned. Was made by a master wood carver. Actual wood carvings. Together with carved wood shaving techniques to obtain bird"feather" work ... morelike I have never seen before. The overall sculpture seems to be an amalgam of Free Masonry and Odd Fellows symbols. At one end we have the full bodied carved turkey with full expanded feathers. Its head down on the wooden central handle. In Philadelphia, we were believe this was originally found, the main Masonic Temple has a turkey above the portico entrance. Please remeber, at one time our National bird symbol was to be the turkey, but was changed to the stronger image of the American eagle. Beneath the turkey. We have the Odd Fellows three ring chain link symbol, carved out of the same piece of wood. The chain is carved next to the two hearts facing opposite directions as shown. If you think about it for a moment, if this is a folk art fan, your own hand will hold the staff of the fan over the hearts, so here again, the heart and hand symbol is genius! The top of the sculpture is an elaboarte"open fan" of open eagle bird feathers. As can be seen. The last feather was mounted askew. 10 1/4" by 14 3/4" heavy ironstone serving platter. White ground decorated in green MASONIC TEMPLE. Stamped by the manufacturer BURLEY& COMPANY, HOTEL DEPT, CHICAGO. This company was in business from 1837 to 1931. I think this platter dates 1910-1920. No chips or cracks but there are utensil marks on the top surface, an area of burst glaze bubbles on the platter that have some dirt and staining in them, some glaze wear around the rim.
