Up for auction is a vintage polished brass Masonic ceremonial trowel. It measures 7 1/4" long and it is in near mint condition with no defects at all. The smallest pin( 1/4" x 1/4" is marked 14K The second screw back pin(3/8" x 3/8" is marked 10K Top The third is a coil back with a Mother of Pearl inset. Is not marked but looks to me like it could be at least gold filled. Is just over 1/4" in diameter. All three pins are in very good vintage condition and only need a light cleaning. Historic. Very rare, Volkmar Pottery by Charles Volkmar. Loving Cup painted in delft blue depicting George Washington, his Masonic Crest and Martha Washington. The George Washington Memorial Association 1898 commissioned Charles Volkmar to produce this loving cup as a commemorative artifact sold to raise funds for the Associations endeavor to establish an educational institution for the promotion of science and literature as described by George Washington in his message to Congress and in his will. Impressed VOLKMAR on the bottom. There is crazing and a crazing line that looks like a tight hairline inside top. The cup is 7" high, 6 1/4" at its widest and 4 3/4" at the top opening/mouth.
