She got it from her grandfather a long time ago. I have no idea how old or anything else about the sword. I tried to take pics of"defects" The blade looks good with no visable rust. the leather case has a hole in it at the top. The Knight Helmet on the end of the Handle/Hilt looks a bit off but I don't want to try and tighten or loosen it. A lot of really cool artwork all over the sword and scabbard. ENGLISH POSTAL SCALE. S. MORDAN& Co LONDON 1911 The letter and parcel postal rates on the pans date this beautiful wood and brass scale to 1906- 1915. In addition to the inland letter rates are the rates for the British Empire. Egypt, and the USA. This particular scale was given as a gift to DJW by A. DE.L.L. in 1911. It comes with its original and complete set of weights which include: 16 oz. 8 oz, 4 oz, 2 oz, and two 1 oz weights. The wood and brass parts are complete and in perfect shape. The bottom originally had a black leather or paper covering which is incomplete and partially peeling. It does not take away from the appearance of this wonderful scale.

It has a carved mans face at the bottom of it and it is very decorative. It is 44 3/4" h x 18 1/2" wide. I believe it is old English oak. It will need some work like the thermometer needs replacing as there is the brass thermometer gauge only, looks like it may accept a 8" glass tube. The barometer glass is gone, would need replacing A small piece of the wood side is missing at edge on left of the mans head and a slight scrape at the very top of the wood. It has a panel on the back that opens, guess to work or replace parts easily. I do not know anything about this type item whatsoever so am putting on plenty of photo's for you to see. Original British Pattern 1903 WW1 era Leather 5 Pocket Bandolier for 50 rounds of.303. Dark brown leather in color and nice original condition leather. Overall. Condition of this entire bandolier is very good to near excellent, shows some age and a little use, but still solid throughout. Leather doesn’t look to have had any treatment preservative on the leather. Everything seems to be intact including all five of the inner leather cartridge hold down flaps. No pull through on any of the inner or outer cartridge flaps. No repairs anywhere that I can see and none needed. LONDON maker marked and inspected and appears to be dated 1922 on the leather next to the front belt buckle just below the LONDON maker marking. A little hard to read the entire London Maker Marking. I don’t find any regimental markings but there is also a partial stamping ... morein the leather in the middle of one of the two front buckles. Bandolier still retains its smaller leather belt adjustment strap often missing from these. Smaller strap also in excellent condition. Buckled. The way you see it laid out in the pictures, bandolier measures about 36 inches diameter around. Sharp looking display item or perfect for re-inacting use. Please see pictures. This sign relates to Thomas Wall the world famous frozen food manufacturing company taken over by Thomas in 1835 after the death of his father.Later his 2 sons joined the board of Directors 1870 and 1878 respectively and the Company name was changed to Thomas Walls and sons Ltd to reflect this.This sign is in very good condition with only a small piece of porcelain loss in the bottom left corner.The porcelain is a off white colour and the writing enameled in clear bright black. A remarkable find with plenty of English history going back to the original days of Walls with their fine sausages sold to the Royal Court Yard.The sign is over 140 years old with no rust giving testament to the quality of workmanship.Its got a size of 15cm x 10cm. Motoring and Touring map of London, Kent, East Sussex
This rather elderly map was published by Ward. Lock and Co's, though I have not been able to find a date. It is printed on paper with a linen backing, the scale being three miles to an inch. The closed map measures approx 3.5"x 6.5" and opened out is 21" x 26.5" It is complete, though yellowed with age and has small tears at some of the edges on the fold lines.On the front cover, a previous owner has added their initials in ink.

1782 Bowles Map- Untitled Carington Bowles was a very successful English publisher of maps and prints during the latter part of the eighteenth century. Not much of his output was genuinely original and he inherited or acquired a lot of material from earlier cartographers. One of his publications was"Bowles Post-Chaise Companion" a small compendium of road maps which updated the earlier work of Ogilby. Bowen, Senex and Gardiner. This work is fairly hard to find. This attractive map of the main road from London. North towards Edinburgh, comes from a 1782 edition of"Post-Chaise Companion" It only includes the first section from London through Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge, Huntingdon and into Northampton as well as the towns of Royston and Stilton(of cheese fame) The map measures 5" by 5" with a centrefold(as ... moreissued) Has outline hand colouring, and is in very good condition.
