Arbiter Pro Curved Soprano Saxophone I normally play Alto& Tenor but bought this a few years ago for a specific use. I then continued to play it occasionally but for the past few years have only used it very lightly. It is a very sweet little player. Which has been quite lightly used and well maintained. Pads. Felts, cork are in excellent condition, the case is almost as new and it comes with a standard Esprit Mouthpiece complete with Ligature and cap. I used to play it mainly with either the Esprit of a Yanigasawa which I am selling on a seperate listing. Also I have included 2 x 1 1/2 Vandoren Reeds and 4 x Grade 3 Vandoren JAVA reeds in a La Voz reed holder. There is also a new pull through and a used small pull for the neck/mouthpiece. All Accessories are either new or have been U.V. sanitised. In addition I have included a Soprano ... moreneck sling and two mouthpiece patches for good measure. DESCRIPTION This is a good instrument which plays as well as it looks. It has nice engraving an adjustable thumb rest and most importantly both a good sound and is quite easy to play. This Sax has been played very lightly since I purchased it a few years ago and is in excellent condition. The serial number is 2132 but I have been unable to find a year of manufacture. As can be seen from the photos the sax is in excellent condition with only a couple of minor lacquer blemishes. As a player I can confirm there are no pad leaks the action is very good as is the intonation. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Import duties. The map was published in 1742 by George Vertue for the Society of Antiquaries. The map measures approx. 15 1/2 x 21in. overall approx. 22 x 27 3/4in. The work is in good clean and original uncolored condition. The map was found rolled with some light toning and crinkling to the extreme edges of the paper- well away from the image. They are 5 5/8" long and almost 3/4" wide at the bow. They are very substantial weighing in at 38.9 grams- 1 1/4 troy oz. They are NOT engraved to the bow. They are in very good condition with just the usual light surface scratching and no dents or dings or repairs and without distortion- SUPERB. They are hallmarked with GS over WF. Rare Sterling Georgian Circular Salt - London 1799 Wakelin & Garrard
This is a very rare sterling salt. Crafted in London 1799 by the highly important firm of John Wakelin& Robert Garrard who worked together between 1794- 1801. The base shows an armorial of a bent arm grasping a dagger with an entwined snake- this sits below a crown or coronet. There is a few shallow impact marks around the outside which could easily be removed but is much better left in original condition. This is a rare salt by important makers so don't miss out! Opens& closes well- has polished& matt finished alternating bands on the front with a cartouche that looks to have had a monogram removal. This is a rare and probably most personal antique solid silver cigarette or cigar box. It is a Victorian box and is hallmarked for London 1900 on both the side and the lid of the bo x. It has its original ced a r lining and is a very heavy box so please take note of the postage f ees. The wonderful thing about this box ar e the inscriptions. It has the crests of both the Gordon Highlanders and London Scottish with the dates 1940 to 1945. The owners name Lt. Col. R.A.G. Murphy O.B.E. is inscribed to the top whilst underneath is YUKON PILGRIM HARLEQUIN EAGLE OVER LORD NONSENSE. Arou nd the front and two sides are inscribed signatures which I will attempt to decipher if you feel neces sary. I am sorry I cannot tell you anything further regards the inscriptions but I am sure someone out there will fully know of its significance. Size; 7 x 3.50 ... morex 2 inch high. Condition; Good. Hin ges are fine and it opens and closes we ll. Some odd age related dents but nothing of any great significance. Weigh t; 796 gr. But this obviously i ncludes the lining but the silver of the lid is quite thick.

Wonderful vintage souvenir gold-tone pocket comb. Comb is light brown tortoise shell plastic. All teeth are present and in good condition. Some natural wear on the gold metal. Made in England by Kigu of London. There are 5 main attractions depicted on the case: Buckingham Palace, London Piccadilly, Tower of London, Tower Bridge and Saint Paul's Cathedral. Measures 4 1/2 long and 1 inch wide when closed. Very nice period piece.

STRAP HANDLE & BRACKET from a C CLASS London Transport Underground Tube Carriage
A lovely nostalgic strap handle from a London Underground tube train. This is from a C-class carriage. Currently the oldest type of train in use on the tube(District Line and Hammersmith& City) but now being withdrawn. The last one will probably go in 2014. This is one of the traditional truncheon-looking handles which will bring memories flooding back for commuters who remember the"strap-hanging" days. Sadly you now get a horrible yellow plastic thing which looks as if it will last at least a week. Keep it is a souvenir. Or use it in place of the chain on your bog(if you still have an overhead cistern, as you should) Bracket included in case you want to hang it from your ceiling to prevent the room revolving when you've had a few.
