1889 FABYAN HOUSE BREAKFAST MENU - NEW HAMPSHIRE - WHITE MOUNTAINS
For your consideration is a great vintage menu for the Fabyan House. White Mountains, NH. It is a folded piece of card stock with a beautiful vignette on the front and measures approx. 11" x 4" when open. This menu was for Breakfast on Sunday, September 1, 1889. A few of the offerings were"English Breakfast Bacon" Honeycomb Tripe, Fried Brook Trout, and Smoked Salmon. In addition there were Potatoes, Eggs, Cold Meats, etc. A few of the items in the"Breads and Cakes" section there were Cerealine Muffins, Cold Water Crackers and Cream Toast. There is overall soiling and some staining from the middle of the fold upward to the top edge(see scan) Also there is a pencil line drawn through"Stewed Kidneys" I agree! For your consideration is a wonderful vintage menu for the Fabyan House. White Mountains, NH. It is a folded piece of card stock and measures approx. 8" x 5 1/2" when open. This menu was for the Evening Meal on Sunday, July 23, 1905. A few of the offerings were"Puree of Chicken, Aux Croutons" Lamb Tongues, Pig's Feet and Sardines. As for dessert there was Blueberry Cake, Preserved Cherries, Sliced Bananas, and more. Also listed on the menu is the entertainment for the evening which was Whitmore's Orchestra of Boston assisted by Mrs. M. Heineman.
