1940s? Bex Hard Bakelite Type Plastic Childs Ducky Head Potty - Made in Britain

It may be a little earlier but I can't really be sure so please take a good look at the pictures ... moreand decide on the exact age for yourself. The potty stands about 20.5cm(8" high at the highest point with the head itself measuring about 8cm(just under 3" It was made in Britain by"Bex" and is formed in a good quality bakelite. The bowl section is light blue with the ducks head moulded in a pale yellow/ivory. On either side of the ducks head it is marked"Ducky Regd" On the bottom of the potty is the Ducky logo and the wording: Patent Applied For Made in Britain Ducky A Bex Product Registered Trade Mark This is a cute item that is in really nice condition. There are no splits. Cracks or repairs but there is a little rubbing here and there that is commensurate with age and handling. There are one or two surface marks but nothing that really detracts at all. Despite the minor faults mentioned this is a lovely old nursery item that still looks good and displays well. Hopefully someone can find a space for"Ducky" in their collection- or even make use of him because I am sure he is as good as anything you can buy today! Here is a unique item that is undoubtedly extremely rare. This is a boxed set of booklets and maps prepared for the invading German forces that would occupy Great Britain as part of Hitler's Operation Sea Lion. I have never seen another set like this and it is possibly unique. I assume that this was prepared for very senior German officers who were to direct the Nazi occupation. A vintage Brass"Cargo Light" It has a oil or kerosene lamp inside. The brass plaque on the front. Cargo Light" No. 3954" Great Britain" 1939" We got it at a local house sale at the lake. The old timer commented that they used to use it on their pontoon boat. It is 15" tall. The sides are 6 1/4" wide. The round outside mounting brackets make the front 8 1/2" wide. It weighs over 7 pounds. There are glass panels on all 4 sides. We estimate the age at 30-40 years old. There is a bail on the top and bottom for moving. The appearance is very good+. The oil lamp is inside. The lamp needs a wick. There is a slight dent on the front round top. Great to use or display on your pontoon. On the patio or hang it by the front door. It will also display well in the interior.
