This is a family heirloom that got away. From the daily log from April 23rd- July 3rd, the GREAT Hand Drawn Illustrations& Drawings, the photos, maps, Hotel Receipts, Bus Line pamphlets and right down to the page long experience of eating at an English Inn. The pictures really don't do this scrapbook justice. The person who made this knew what they were doing and took alot of time to create it. Pilot in the 7.Jagdgeschwader 53, German Knights Cross Recipient March 26th, 1944. Flew in the Battle of Britain, Battle of France, Eastern Front and North African Campaign All flown against the Western Allies. He was awarded the RK on March 26, 1944. Seeger was also a witness on Nov 28th to the action that took the life of the great Helmut Wick. Mr. Seeger joined the Luftwaffe in 1937, and was posted to JG 2 on Feb 26, 1940. Seeger scored his first victory on June 8th of that year. He flew as wingman on the Channel front to such notable pilots as Wilhelm Bathasar, Walter Oesau, Rudolph Pflanz and Erich Leie. Up for auction is my. BIO: Erich Rudorffer WWII Luftwaffe Ace Pilot 222 victories pilot. Flew 1000 plus combat missions, The seventh highest scoring ace pilot in victories during WWII, flew with JG 2, JG 7, JG 54, Recipient of 3 German Knights Cross May 1st, 1941, April 11th, 1944, January 26th, 1945. Flew during the Battle of Britain, Operation Cerberus, Allied landings at Dieppe in August 1942, Sicily, Tunisia and the Eastern Front. Mr. Rudorffer began his Luftwaffe service on Nov. 1st, 1939 when posted to JG 2, his first victory was over a Curtiss Hawk 75 on mat 14th, 1940. In the following year up to May 1st, 1941 his score had risen during the Battle of Britain to 19 victories, after which he was awarded the Ritterkreuz. He was appointed Staffelkapitan of 6/JG 2 and transferred to Africa, on Feb. 9th 1942 he shot down 8 British aircraft ... morein 32 minutes. He then, was posted to the Channel front where he scored his 73rd and 74th victories before transferring to JG 54 and the Russian front. There his score ran up quickly, scoring 13 Russian aircraft in 17 minutes on Nov. 6th. He was awarded the Oakleaves to the RK on April 11th, 1944 at 134 victories, and the Swords on Jan. 26th, 1945. Transferred on Jan. 15th, 1945 to command 1/JG 7, He became one of the first Jet aces by scoring 12 victories, including 10 four engine Bombers in the ME 262. Then another brass pin or badge of some type with a crown above two crossed cannons. Last is an old looking button that has a crown on the front and initials on the back that look like E.D. Born in Yorkshire with a Church Army background. He was vicar at St Helen’s. Ipswich, then Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, then Linstead and Chediston near Halesworth for 8 years before being appointed as rector of Pettaugh and Winston in 1948, a time of great social change. He had a traditional Church of England outlook and was a caring parish priest. Before he even arrived in Pettaugh a fellow cleric warned him‘You will be skewered by the Cuttings’ After about a year there was a confrontation with Kenneth Cutting. Rev Tong disapproved of the feudal relationship that appeared to exist between the Cuttings and the villagers.
