That Aston Martin DB5 that James Bond drove in movies-the DB stood for David Brown. However, as the British tractor market declined, David Brown was acquired by J. I. Case, where it continued as a brand until the late 1980s. Here's what we find makes this ad interesting. And therefore more collectible: David Brown needed effective low-cost advertising that overcame their foreign tractor barrier.
