This is a Vintage Crams world globe. Showing USSR. It is in very nice condition, no dents cracks or pen or pencil marks, Spins freely on its metal base. The only problem I see is at the equator, the paper band that covered the seam has come off, does not interfere with the globes appearance to me. If IO have measured correctly it stands approx. 13" tall and measuring around the equator it is approx. 28" Colors are bright and overall a clean nice globe. stand is a gold painted metal.

They are CRAM'S INTERMEDIATE POLITICAL MAPS and come out of a closed school. There is a legend for the U.S. map. The World map has a political& physical legend as well as a country index to help in locating different countries. Huge Vtg 1950's? 5'x4' Cram's Pull Down United States School Wall Map USA Decor This old map is actually bigger than 5' x 4' However. If you were to cut it and frame it, the map portion itself is about 4 feet high and just over 5 feet across. It is on a wooden window-shade-type. Pull down roller. The spring feels like it has tension in it, but we cannot say for sure it will work because it is a) quite old, and b) we have no place to test it. The Atlantic Ocean has water damage. The coast of California has tears; however. Overall, for its age, it looks really good. It does not look faded or sun damaged. There is some missing black overlayer in the bottom right-hand corner. VTG Crams Cloth Pull Down School Map Early Expansion of Russian Empire 1613-1914
Absolutely incredible pull down school map from George F. Cram of Chicago. Dating to the 1960s. This is a canvas/cloth map that measures about 51"x 78" WITHOUT the hem. It includes mounting bracket(no screws) and wood pole and operates easily and without issue. There are 2 different maps featured. The Nations at War 1914-1918 and The Expansion of the Russian Empire 1613-1914. I found no holes, tears, markings, water damage or significant creases. There is light storage soil/darkening on the bottom 6" of the map and there is a hole in the hem, the hem has also pulled away from the pole on one side. Colors are bright and vibrant, there are no smells at all, no yellowing, just a very very clean map. You will not be disappointed with the condition of this old map. This map. Antique Lighted Glass World Globe Paris Not Crams UFO Extraterrestrial Alien
Here we have a glass lighted globe which shows UFO sightings according to USSR data as of 1960. A most unusual piece. Various areas of the outer"skin" of the glass globe were peeled back and highlighted with white to show where these sightings occurred. Interesting that many areas of Antarctica were areas of UFO sightings. The writing on the base indicates a year of 1960. The amber bulb[included] lights up with the inline switch working as it should. Besides the alteration showing the sightings, the only other things I see is the finial on the top has been replaced by a nut and a tight age crack in the wood stem of the base which poses no threat to the structural integrity. Old ca 1891 Crams World Atlas, No Covers, Includes 140 Page of Maps, Worn Condtn
This item is an old estate found ca. 1891 Crams World Atlas. With the atlas missing it's cover boards, and also missing the title page, but with nearly all the rest of the pages, including all 140 pages of maps, still tight within the binding, as we are showing in the attached photos. Cover boards and title page are the only significant parts missing, and there are 140 pages of maps included in the remaining pages, and those maps are mostly in excellent condition. Some age yellowing, and some slight handling smudges, and the maps seem to be in excellent overall condition. Maps are printed back to back, in most cases, and there are lots of city maps(38) so some individual maps not usually included in old atlases. Atlas dates to about 1891, as that is the last date noted in text that we can find, and we are showing that date verification ... moreamong the photos attached to this listing. The 140 pages of maps break down into these categories: 4 World Maps, 4 Individual Continent Maps, 4 Candian Provincal Maps, 50 Territory/State Maps, 37 Individual Country Maps, 1 National Park Map(Yellowstone) 38 US& Canadian City Maps, and 2 Pages of World Cities Maps(grouped with 9 city maps on each page) Again, that is 140 pages of maps, and certainly more than that in total number of maps, as some pages have more than one map. Wish the title page was here so we can show actual printing date, but since it is not here, we are showing the last text date we can find, 1891, in photos to verify dating. Atlas measures about 12x15 inches, it has about 306 numbered pages(last page number reads 360) and it weighs 3.7 lbs without packaging materials. See images for more details. Kansas Railroad and County map. 1890 Antique. Crams Atlas
Very Nice 1890 Crams Railroad and county map of Kansas. Map is in good condition. Showing all railroads from the time. It does have a fold in the middle as well as some slight browning. The Paper is not brittle. Some Corner and Edge wear. Their is an extra bit of paper on the spine due to its placement in the book. Map Measures 25" Long 17.5" Wide This Map along with other that will be listed was found in a Crams World atlas from 1890. The Book was in horrible condition. Water damage and other things that like to hide in dark places. I have saved what maps I could from the book that are in good shape.
