Crams Globe Vintage "Imperial World Globe" 12 " diameter 37" Tall Very Good
Crams Imperial World Globe 12" Diameter 38" circumference and stands 37" tall. Good overall condition. The stand is solid and the globe is intact. The globe does have a couple of spots where the lamination material is coming up a bit. I feel this is an easy fix for the new owner. The base is made of hard wood I would say dark maple would be the color. The globe itself is tan with blue areas. Brass colored rings that serve as rings and pivot. They all work great. For auction is this great old atlas. The cover says 1884 but it has a copyright of 1883. The book is in pretty good condition for its age especially. The pages still have great color. But there are a few stains here and there. The inside of the cover has some writing on it as pictured. The last page has a large map on it. It must have been placed in the book at some point, it is also pictured. This is a great old book and would make a great addition to an old book or atlas collection. Absolutely incredible pull down school map from George F. Cram of Chicago. Dating to the 1950s 60s. This is a canvas/cloth map that measures about 51"x 78" WITHOUT the hem. It includes mounting bracket(no screws) and wood pole and operates easily and without issue. There are 2 different maps featured; Europe~Commercial& Industrial about 1453 and Voyages, Discoveries& Claims to 1610. I found no holes, tears, markings, water damage or significant creases. There is light storage soil/darkening on the bottom 7" of the map and along the very edges of the sides. the hem has some fading and light scuffs. Colors are bright and vibrant, there are no smells at all, no yellowing, just a very very clean map. You will not be disappointed with the condition of this old map. This map. This is a 12 inch diameter crams plastic world globe night light. 7 foot 4 inch cord with easy turn switch for on and off viewing. Cord and switch is in great condition. The plastic globe has a few light scratches in it but not to bad and it still looks nice. The bottom set pin has been repaired but seems to be doing its job just fine. Not sure if the top pin is original or not. Both would be an easy cheap replacement if need be. The wood base is in really good condition and does look very nice. Over all it is a nice globe. Astronomical And Historical- M ap of CITY PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA page measures apprx. 22" x 14 3/8" There is some typical darkening from age and handling around the edges of the pages. But overall in very good condition for a document that was printed 122 years ago! See map and judge condition for yourself as it trumps any description I could provide. All maps are originals. Very nice and hard to find world globe on stand. 36" high. Great shape for age. Will ship broken down with some assembly required to save money shipping. A few spots where it appears some red paint got on wood base. One or two spots where some scratch cover could make look a bit better.
